  1. Lot to take in this episode. I'm really, really glad they had Eric address the bullying by Adam. I mean, he seems to click with Adam better than he does with sexy SEXY Rahim but the years of mistreatment is something that I don't know if Eric will (or even should) get over enough to be in a relationship. Despite that, the actor playing Adam does make him a hugely sympathetic character and I'm interested - if dreading - where his path goes next. I like that he got to bond with a (justifiably) pissed off Ola. Poor Aimee - the trauma of her assault is wrecking her life and no-one seems to even notice. I didn't like her walking off down the dark lane after the party. Hope she gets some therapy. Glad that Anwar is showing the non-dickhead side of his personality. I guess the bonus of Netflix is that the question of "Who the heck was Otis naked in bed with?" gets answered in a few minutes...
  2. Oh lord I don't think I've ever identified with a character so hard as when fat, intelligent, but socially incompetent Viv tried to flirt with the guy she liked. I see you Viv, I really see you.
  3. Oh man with Sex Education, Picard and now this, I'm going to be doing a LOT of TV watching. That weekend is a long weekend in Australia too. I liked the trailer. It's pretty original and didn't give too much plot away (I mean we already knew that Sabrina was heading into Hell to at least try and rescue Nick). Only glimpses of most of the characters although there was a LOT of topless Nick in the trailer (I'm not complaining even though I'm probably old enough to be his Mum).
  4. Trailer looks fun! I know what I'll be doing next weekend. Alright that sounded dirty, what I will be doing is bingeing the show obv.
  5. Loved everything about this show after discovering it fairly late. The only thing that really bugged me was the episode with the picture of the mean girl's privates being shared around. Everyone stood up the end and shouted "It's MY vagina!" (even Jackson, which I thought was sweet and hilarious), but I shouted back at the screen "actually, it's your VULVA". I was waiting for Otis to stand up and correct them, but he didn't. It's such a common misconception that I wish they'd taken the opportunity to correct it.
  6. Yeah that version of the title song sounds really odd and is going to take some getting used to.
  7. I also feel like we need an episode or two to catch up on Yennefer's time since the 'hey I'm hot now' ball but since the show has been renewed, maybe there's time in the next season?
  8. What I didn't get about this episode is that barring Tissaia sensing and tracking Yennefer's portal, we haven't seen Yen actually do much (unless I blinked and missed it?). Presumably her potential was enough to avoid getting eeled? I was also a bit perturbed how Yen was - in the end - okay with the one semi-friend she'd made there getting turned into an eel, even to the point of dumping them into the pool and smiling about it. I guess it's the ruthless part of her but I thought it was odd at the time. The elf plotline was very forgettable if not for the introduction of Jaskier.
  9. I tip my hat to the funeral detectives. Nice work! Same. I think he's going to be really impressive.
  10. So happy to see the trailer drop finally! I assume that all the funeral stuff is
  11. So I woke this morning to a message from the Crypt producers and what seems to be the teaser trailer! It's restricted to Kickstarter backers at present, hopefully it'll be more widely available soon. It looks amazing - the landscapes, the dresses! Lots of Jack/Phryne. Can't wait!
  12. I'm just over half way through Season 1 and really enjoying it. Ioan Gruffudd (who is the reason I started watching) is as solid a leading man as he ever was and ageing like a fine wine to boot. Despite living here I tend not to watch a lot of Australian drama because it takes itself way too seriously but this has the right blend of humour and drama, and has a great supporting cast. It also makes me miss my adopted home town Brisbane, but at least I can thoroughly enjoy all the location spotting!
  13. It's by no means perfect but it's a lot better than I can do, and I've lived here for 17 years!
  14. They have become fairly aggressive lately - they cancelled Daredevil when a lot of people hadn't even started watching the season (although as already noted, that's because of the Disney brouhaha). I'm really gutted about this. Not giving the show enough notice to not land on a cliffhanger? Not even giving them a wrap-up (which they could easily do)? Get fucked, Netflix, seriously. I've canned my account and told them why.
  15. That must be Netflix US - Netflix in Australia already has Outlander, albeit a few months behind the US broadcast.
  16. I really really really hope this isn't true. http://horrorfuel.com/2019/04/19/netflix-pulls-the-plug-on-santa-clarita-diet/
  17. I'm wondering whether there's a deleted scene where Dorian changes his mind for whatever reason. The club works as a gathering place, anyway, so I hope they keep it.
  18. ...and at the end of the episode she clearly shows she hasn't learned a thing. Walking right into Hell with your (very squishy) mortal friends and taking your boyfriend back? That is not going to end well (but I'm sure it will be very entertaining!).
  19. Given that I think this show is going to make A Big Deal out of Sabrina losing her virginity, I'm pretty sure it hasn't happened yet. I'm with you - Sabrina semi-nude with Nick and not going all the way? That takes some serious self-control! I think that Theo's transition was dealt with better in this episode, i.e. when Mandrake!Sabrina offered him a man's body he declined. The problem is that in the tarot episode he got an arm chopped off rather than revert to a female body so they really need to get a grip on what his characterisation is, because it's a mess.
  20. I laughed my arse off at that. Maybe it'll be the revelation that witch powers can be learned as well as being innate? I dunno. The show is a bit of a hot mess but it's really entertaining and I'm definitely tuning in next season. Poor Miss Wardwell - her fiancee is dead, but she probably thinks he ran off and left her. Me too, he and Sabrina have stacks of chemistry. Also I would tune in for the 'Ambrose and Prudence - Demon Hunters' show. I liked that Prudence teamed up with the Spellmans - her character was a bit all over the place and IMO it's only the skill of the actress that held it all together. I don't trust Lilith not to get up to all sorts of shenanigans in Hell - I doubt that's the last we've seen of her.
  21. Well I didn't really think that they would kill Ambrose so that part was no surprise. Pod!Zelda's mincing of Leviathan was horrific, I hope the mouse 'actor' got a big piece of cheese afterwards. Glad Zelda is 'back' and that they didn't draw that particular plotline out too long, although I did enjoy watching Miranda Otto portray a Stepford Wife. Honestly they could keep Roz as Sabrina's mortal friend and ditch all the others, I wouldn't mind (I do like Roz). Was 'Adam' the body of Adam or made from straw? He looked kind of scarecrow-like (although much, much scarier). Miss Wardwell pulling out her own rib was almost as horrific as the aforementioned mincing. Did I misread the cut, or did Prudence see Sabrina conjuring the Dark Lord?
  22. Bye Wesley! It'll be interesting to see if Sabrina's new powers stick around or whether they're Deus ex Machinaed away. I loved that neither Ambrose nor Hilda were fooled by the glamours, and that Hilda managed to get Ambrose materials for a (literal) skeleton key and that he knew what to do with them.
  23. Ironically, Father Blackwood should be thanking Sabrina for saving his life. If not for her actions last year, Prudence would have been eaten by the other witches and not alive to stop Ambrose. Not quite sure why Zelda looked so put out when she was asked to walk behind her husband - surely she would have been aware of the tradition?
