  1. I want to say this now before the series Finale. I decided to watch POI because I was impressed with the line-up of actors involved in the series and I stayed because of the actors and the writing. Somewhere during Season 3 I sat back and went DAMN! this series is evolving into something else besides an interesting procedural. So to CBS, the King/Queen of procedurals, I say thank you for stepping out of your obvious comfort zone and keeping this show on the air. It has been a wonderful viewing experience and I will miss it dearly but I am grateful that it was a part of my TV life. An additional thank you to the actors for making the characters so real and wonderful. I will miss them, the Machine and dear dear Bear. It has been a very satisfying journey for me. Here's hoping I don't walk away tonight completely devastated by the Finale.
  2. I have to admit that I had a few tears at the end of the episode seeing 'old numbers' helping out like they did. The actor who played Joey is Amy Ackers husband in RL.
  3. The trailers/previews are airing on TV now and I kept looking at the bearded guy with the longish black hair and wondering where I have seen him before and then...BAM!! He sure looks different but good. The Aussie accent was a helpful clue.
  4. Woohoo!! Someone else who watched LIFE! Loved that series which wasn't easy since NBC kept moving it around without good hints to find an episode. It had best Series Finale. Sarah Shahi and Damien Lewis were amazing and I must say Garret Dillahunt was terrifying. Harold is breaking bad.FINALLY!! And in a 'right' way. I cried. Real tears.
  5. After this episode, I am literally horrified by 3 things- (1) Another Direwolf gone? Please no. I want this part of the story to be a long con on Ramsey; (2) Richon and Osha are now prisoners of psycho Ramsey; (3) I want a glimpse, at the least, of flashback Rhaegar and now it looks like we may only see Lyanna. Not nice GoT!! I think Richon will be safe for the time being because Ramsey is not stupid and with Jon on the way, Richon can be used for bargaining. Or Ramsey will just plan to keep him until Jon arrives and then slaughter the kid while his brother is watching. Seems like a Ramsey move, doesn't it? I fear for Osha and I will be mightily pissed if something happens to her. Loved Tormund's and Edd's reaction to a resurrected Jon. Didn't it look like Jon's wounds were hurting him after Tormund's hearty bear hug? Maybe it was just the strength of the hug. I really have to say hubba hubba about Dayne. I NEVER would have connected the character to actor Luke Roberts of Black Sails. Although LR is quite handsome as Governor Woodes Rogers, I must say facial hair really looks especially nice on him. Great sword fight until the back stab to the neck. Good to know that the despicable but entertaining Littlefinger will be back. How much chaos can he cause at this point? Probably a lot until he is faced with the reality of a WW.
  6. When Melisandre was cleaning Jon's body, all I could think was - why didn't Jon get stabbed....lower! Welcome back Jon. He died so his oath to The Night's Watch died with him and now he is free. Can't wait to see Ser Aliser's face when he sees Jon. Melisandre will go from a deep funk to feeling pretty powerful after the resurrection. Davos was a great cheerleader and I loved Ghost's reaction. I was hoping that Jon would wake up with a few streaks of white hair. Darn. I thought Roose was horrible but his son has far surpassed him. I don't want Ramsey to have a fast death. I want him to scream! GOT sure has managed to create some of the most loathsome characters. Tyrion and the dragons!! Great scenes and when the second dragon turned its head so Tyrion could release her, it was such a sentient act making it both scary and thrilling at the same time.
  7. I have to say I was a bit put off when I saw Hood and the 'two years later' but I have got to say I was riveted because the hour flew by. I feel that the writers did a damn fine job going back and forth and catching the audience up with the story and the characters. I was worried about what was left to do except possibly redeem Hood and slam Proctor but Rebecca's death believably brings all the characters into play again. Nicely done writers. BANSHEE being back is bittersweet! I love that it is back but sad that this is the last Season. It may be violent, bloody and over-the-top but I am a "Fanshee' through and through. The fight scenes on this show are beyond superb and have been since the beginning. All I need right now is to know Job is alive. Hope lives.
  8. If I remember correctly, Ragnar 'freed' her when he took her to his 'private hut of peace'.
  9. This article was posted today - http://io9.gizmodo.com/agent-carter-will-likely-be-renewed-for-a-third-season-1763069311
  10. After reading through this thread I was curious about the source material so I did what I always do...I googled and then I checked out the graphic novels at Amazon. I was surprised to see that Lucifer has light blond hair. My first thought was Spike in a black suit!! A note of caution, it you check out the graphic novels DO NOT read the back covers (especially Novel 3) because I have feeling that it just may be a spoiler for the show this Season. Darn my curiosity!!
  11. Loved that very exuberant kiss at the end. I can't help but think that Hayley Atwell ad libbed the kiss and took Enver by surprise LOL. I simply adore this series and I want more. Any suggestions who we can bombard with emails? Letters? Chocolates? Puppies?
  12. Jimmy should be in a lot of trouble with that commercial. Old school 'respectable and reputable' law firm would never advertise on TV . It is considered undignified and crass. OH!! The horror of it!! Anyone else think we are watching the 'breaking bad' of Jimmy and Mike? Clever VG. Clever and we get to see some familiar characters along the way. I am hoping that Nacho wants to take out Tuco because I want to see that CRAZY maniac again. And if we get Tuco then maybe we will get Uncle 'ding ding' Tito. I fondly remember the power of the ding. I won't be disappointed if it is Gus and when I think about it, Mike has to meet Gus and start working for him. This may be the time for that.
  13. I was sipping on my coffee when I read this. Thanks for my splattered keyboard!! What are the odds that Rick and Daryl got 2 cars with full tanks of 'good' gas and both cars were Chryslers? I didn't notice the make of the truck but it seemed to have had a full tank as well. At the end of the episode, my first thought was....Rick should have popped in a cd of Carrie Underwood singing 'Jesus Take the Wheel'....because he sooooo did! I didn't know how I would react if Michonne and Rick got together but I didn't cringe. I thought it was nicely done and I didn't expect that from these writers. Having said that, I am scarred from the 'Joss Whedon School of Romance'. There will be doom. There will be death. There will be denial. There will be stupid. There will never be happiness. Despite the 'stupid' that happened during the road trip, I so enjoyed the boys having a fun time. I mean...who would have thought TWD could have some fun moments. Yep, they made some glaring non-Rick and non-Daryl decisions but it was refreshing.
  14. That was a good hour of TV. Welcome back VIKINGS! Life is good again. Ragnar lives and has a wondering eye already. It looked like the French Princess wasn't thrilled about her marriage to Rollo and refused her hunk of burning tattooed Viking love. Lagertha proves again that she is good with a knife. You go girl! Vikings definitely do not take kindly to treason and Rollo is now French. So much more but a great start.
  15. I madly adore James D'Arcy because he gave me/us Jarvis. Such a great character! The scene where Peggy and Jarvis are acting out the scene with the noisy hair dryer in the background was a hoot and Dottie being tied up under the hairdryer while watching made me LOL. I do feel that the casting director for this show was either brilliant or struck gold with all the actors. I already knew that Hayley Atwell was great but I can't believe how great Wynn Everette and Bridget Regan are as villains. I definitely need more Dottie Underwood. She is one of the most deliciously chilling villains I've seen in such a long time and that says a lot to me since TV and movies are loaded with super heroes and super villains these days. I do worry about the ratings and I hope that ABC gives us a 3rd Season because we need some kind of closure with Agent Carter and how SHIELD was started as well as HYDRA. If ABC keeps backing AGENTS OF SHIELD then the least they can do is give the fans/audience more background. Tuesday nights are ridiculously jammed with shows and that's unfortunate for CARTER because I can see this show becoming a cult classic. Here's hoping that if ABC passes then NETFLIX is waiting around the corner. I am not ready to let go of this series and its cast. I don't mind the love triangle as long as Sousa ends up being the man...... so watch it be a totally new guy. It always happens. Sigh.
  16. Apologies if this was posted already but this is the DEADPOOL 'leaked' scene that started the fan furor to get the movie made..... http://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/amazing-deadpool-movie-test-footage-leaks-online/
  17. I saw the movie today and it was fun. The movie had a lot of great moments but I got to say that the opening credits just slammed me because it was so unexpected and hysterical. There is also the scene with the crayon drawing..."have you seen this guy?" Perfection. Yep, the film deserves it's 'hard R' rating. Ryan "motor mouth' Reynolds was born for this role and T.J. Miller is the ideal friend/sidekick. Loved the taxi driver and OMG! Leslie Uggams!!
  18. The boat scenes were incredible!! I dug my fingers into the sofa and held on for dear life. Kudos to the production team and the cast. The two bags of gold just laying around was LOL funny. Yep....Jack needs a smarter crew which made a great entrance scene for Edward Teach.
  19. Has this series made it to the States. I want to see it and I have been searching....but no luck. I just read at ROTTEN TOMATOES that VIKINGS will have 20 episodes this Season. http://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/gallery/24-movies-and-tv-shows-we-want-to-see-in-2016/#&gid=1&pid=24
  20. I just lost a post here when I pressed 'add a reply'. Whoa!! Since it's lost, I will unequivocally state that it was the most incisive post I have done. Humph! Anyhoo, I'll try again but in a very abbreviated way- 1) I am quite sure that the life of a CIA operative is lonely, dangerous and that death could be around every corner. Quinn was placed at the corner of STUPID and RIDICULOUS with the Sarin gas which gives me a glimmer of hope that we may see Quinn in some capacity next Season. There were no exploding body parts or a body riddled with bullets like Allison. 2) I think Carrie will entertain During's weird proposal and stumble upon a nefarious plot spearheaded by During and then have to enlist Saul's help. This would bring back key players, especially the amazing Astrid. 3) Carrie wants normal but it is never going to happen. She will have to find a 'Carrie normal' that uses her talent within the Intelligence world. 4) In my heart of hearts, I hope, in episode 10 that Carrie rolls over in bed to face Quinn. They get up, have breakfast with Frannie, and then proceed to discuss a case as co-analyst and then send their team on a mission. Would Quinn be 100%? No. There would have to be residual damage but he can function nicely. I'd like this ending for Carrie and Quinn. It could be their new normal and a decent ending for the series.Hey!!...... I can live with hope!
  21. Charles Dance is a young 69 and still going strong. Very dependable actor who brings his characters to life. I'd listen to him reading a phone book.
  22. Something about the narration bugged me right from the get go and not because it was different because I expect different from Fargo. When I saw Martin Freeman's name in the credits a 'light bulb' went off. Martin Freeman was copying the narrator in the movie HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY. Or he was being Arthur Dent doing the narrating. Hello! Martin Freeman played Arthur Dent and we have Hanzee DENT on FARGO. The HGTTG vibe was so strong....Spaceships, telephone booths in the middle of nowhere. I was expecting towels to be given to all the characters and then a thumb raised to the spaceship for a beam up LOL. There was such a strong HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE vibe in this episode. Maybe there will be dolphins in Ep 10 **grins** I was actually disappointed that Floyd went down like that. I so wanted to see a badass Jean Smart and she never really got a chance. I enjoy the attention to detail. I swear I saw some pasties on the counter in the gas station store which would be so fitting.
  23. I am amazed that this is just episode 4. I could feel the tension and menace last week and I felt like I had a noose tightening around my neck with this episode. I fear that my head will explode next week from a lack of oxygen from holding my breath. Awesome!!! I am pleased with the writing, the directing and the acting. When I saw that Jean Smart was in the cast, I just knew that she would slam her role. Amazing actress. I just saw BONE TOMAHAWK with Patrick Wilson and now with this Fargo role I am newly impressed with him. I find all the actors brilliant thus far and I am pleasantly surprised with Zahn McClamon as Hanzee and Cristin Miloti as Betsy.
  24. New movie released on pay-per-view starring Kurt Russell. It's a Western and Kurt Russell does 'Western' very well. I read a review somewhere that basically said that this movie is a cross between SEARCHERS and HANNIBAL and I can buy that... and I DID buy it on PPV. Great purchase for me because there was nice character development and some horror. The cast committed and it made the movie work. I didn't even realize that Richard Jenkins played the 'official assistant deputy sheriff' until halfway through the film and I just love it when an actor bleeds into the character. This is an Indie film and it probably has some faults but I was absorbed in the storytelling and characters so I couldn't be bothered to notice. There is a horror aspect to the film and if you are squeamish then you may want to pass on this film. I loved it and I could see it becoming a cult classic.
