  1. We, as the viewers, know that it was an accident but the police don't and must investigate everything. Who's to say that Emmit didn't pick up a piece of the broken glass during the scuffle and jab the glass into Ray's neck? I think good police work with good forensics would have shown that the death was accidental but the best bet for decent police work was immediately shut down when Gloria and Winnie were told to leave. Emmit's confession would have been an issue but I think a good criminal defense attorney would have argued Emmit's frame of mind was off due to guilt of withholding the stamp and money all those years and making Ray suffer and feel inferior. Emmit did say 'he killed/murdered Ray everyday for 30 years'. As far as calling 911, it was already too late to save Ray. That was a 'bleed out' wound. I never really did criminal law but I do think Emmit was guilty of leaving the scene of an accident/death and not notifying authorities.
  2. It was the triangle shaped skin from the autopsy procedure. It fell off during the crash. He may have put an organ back in before the coin but I only saw the skin.
  3. Remember when Mike whipped out a note pad and pen while talking to Nacho? I just bet that he was writing down the Veterinarian's name with a note to the Dr. to help Nacho find a drug to fill the empty capsules. I think Mike and Nacho have a certain respect for each other as well as hate for Hector and Mike wants to help Nacho stay alive and not have a specific drug traced back to him. Malpractice insurance is not cheap and I can see Jimmy trying to get his insurance pro-rated to get some needed cash back in his pocket but once you pay, that money is gone. When realization hit Jimmy, he immediately started his tearful story about Chuck. Jimmy was pissed. We all know how good he is at making up stories and cons on the spot, hence the bar scenes with Kim targeting those obnoxious guys. It also signaled a faster evolution of Jimmy into Saul and more disenchantment for Kim regarding Jimmy.
  4. I don't think Anubis had a choice because the 'lucky' coin brought her back.
  5. Ah...some one else who appreciates Hamlish Linklater! The 'Siberia' story was mesmerizing while the Russian thug was looking out at the frigid countryside....and then it became terrifying. Chills I tell ya! I thought Nikki was a goner. Looks like this was the episode that starts ramping up the story and action.
  6. I am an attorney and despite the fact that the death was all kinds of justifiable IMO, I think the ending was pretty perfect. Why drag Bonnie through anything? She might be considered a 'hero' but the news reports, the stories are forever and there will be a stigma and there will be whispers that will probably be passed down to her daughter. So much better that Perry tripped or slipped while beating his wife. It is better for the women and especially all the children.
  7. To all the posters who are Ziggy lovers here, the young actor, Lain Armitage, has been tapped to play the young Sheldon on TBBT prequel.
  8. Interesting fact....James Marsters (Spike from BTVS) was up for the role and Patrick Stewart had the final say and picked Tom Hardy. James wants a ship so maybe.......
  9. I have always enjoyed Tom Hardy even though I can only understand half of what he mumbles. Seriously...I have the volume up and then have the closed captioning going! I think the man is seriously talented and the first time I saw him in STAR TREK NEMESIS I was mesmerized. I watched that film again recently and TH is almost unrecognizable because he is half the size he is now. If you watch that film you can see the same intensity back when he first started getting roles. So true! The grunting can be terrifying too!
  10. You definitely need to watch JUSTIFIED. A superb series with great acting and writing. Timothy O is at his best and the man sure can do justice to a pair of jeans. I enjoyed Season 1 but for me, the MVP was Eric. Wonderful young actor. I've seen him before so heading to imDb right now.
  11. It's a bit disturbing to me that I am feeling quite cougarish. I have to agree with those who have said that this episode felt very disjointed. I am guessing that we are seeing some 'padding' while getting glimpses of the transition of power to Ivar and Alfred. It will be interesting to see how Hirst handles Bjorn stepping back for Ivar to lead. Maybe Bjorn is injured? If so, then Ivar would be the obvious deadly choice. The one thing I would love to see is a smile on Ecbert's face when told the Heathen Army is on his door step. It would be a nod to Ragnar as in 'well played old friend'. The last 2 episodes will have to have a lot of set-up for the next Season with Ivar and Alfred playing chess with real life. I do feel sorry for Aelle's wife and daughter because they are the innocents who will suffer greatly due to his pompous stupitity
  12. I didn't see cannibalism. I saw James rip through to the guy's jugular in self defense. I feel like running to the shower after the episodes. Brushing my teeth a few times as well. I am definitely appreciating my appliances and dentist right now.
  13. I will stick with this series because I like period pieces and I like Tom Hardy. I put on Closed-captioning but Xfinity has lousy CC, so I missed some of the conversations but I knew there would be some astute 'mumble' translators on this forum. Thank you. I am a bit surprised that no one is taking bets on the murderer. I'm betting on the son-in-law for now. The servant is too obvious. I was fascinated with the autopsy and the procedure to determine arsenic poisoning. A little gross but fascinating.
  14. I agree. Floki did say that he feels empty and without purpose and he did appear to be fascinated with the chanting. I wouldn't mind seeing him turn to something else at this point in his life.
  15. Great observation! I sincerely hope that Travis Fimmel lands on his feet and finds another role to excel in. TF pretty much floored me early in the series because I never expected so much talent. He truly made Ragnor a charismatic and mesmerizing character. Here's to Hirst for recognizing Flimmel's potential and I have hope that he will bring out the best in the young actor playing Ivar. Seriously, Alex Andersen has been riveting in his scenes thus far and I look forward to more of him.
  16. Or.... I'll go one better, Ford was building a younger version of himself but totally aware. We did see the 'young' Ford running to Arnold's office and this show does a good job with hints and foreshadowing. I think I would like a young Ford with flashbacks of Anthony Hopkins. We never saw Wyatt which is interesting and I can't help but play around with the idea that Dolores has just become Wyatt. Hmmm....maybe? I loved PERSON OF INTEREST and I was thrilled when the series started to evolve into something more then a just case of the week. I think this is when I started to truly appreciate Jonathan Nolan and I was thrilled that he was at the helm of WESTWORLD.
  17. I also saw this today and thought it was very good. It can be a 'mind trip' for a bit. I had to laugh when the movie was over and the lights went on, I looked around and there sure were a lot of 'huh?' faces in the audience. Amy Adams is superb.
  18. I made sure that I watched RUNNING WILD WITH BEAR GRYLLIS when Mel B was a guest star and you know what? She was wonderful. She did everything BG asked of her and, yes, there was a little complaining but I would have been screaming dong some of the challenges. She was game and she did fine with a smile on her face. It just makes me think that each judge has their appointed niches on AGT. Having said all this, I will say that I do miss Howard and Piers because Simon almost seems cuddly now.
  19. Whoa.....not happy but not surprised. I wish Grace the best but I would 'never ever, ever, ever' pay to see her.
  20. I do like this series but I do not find it as riveting as I did because of some of the plot holes, the biggest one being the 'blood' evidence. Nas should have been covered with the victim's blood and if Nas cut his hand while stabbing the victim, then some of his blood should have been at the murder scene (bedroom). I don't get the defense not investigating this especially with Stone involved. If you don't have money for a good defense team, then you really don't get a good defense. This case seemed like a 'slam dunk' to all attorneys and law enforcement officers alike. It's almost as if Nas has a court appointed attorney who ONLY makes money by getting cases to do plea deals and move on to the next case. If a case goes to trial, it is short and sweet unless there is good publicity to be had. The best defense attorneys I have ever seen in my State could have been Emmy Award winning actors on their own show....seriously. But they only get involved if there is money or if it is high profile. I need Stone to have his time in the Courtroom. I need him to shine and I will be sorely disappointed if this doesn't happen. As far as Box is concerned, I can't help but think he has a reputation for a savvy and good detective but he is 'broken' and depressed and just let this case slide to get rid of it since he is retiring. I do hope he comes back in some fashion. Maybe he tampered with the evidence on purpose to leave an opening for the defense. I would like to see some satisfying conclusion with his involvement in this case. Anyone else think that Stone may be independently wealthy after his meeting with Andrea's financial advisor? I wouldn't be surprised in the least. I simply adored Katz and would have swooned if I was on the jury. Team Cat here. It would be lovely if Stone could keep the cat (antihistamines) but maybe Chandra or even Box could be the new owner. Just keep the sweet feline alive for the Finale!
  21. FYI...if you need this FYI...Brooke Adams is married to Tony Shaloub. It was nice to see her again.
  22. Finally!! After all these years I finally know what has been happening in Washington. Best explanation ever! Thanks BD. All the actors are great but Tony Shalhoub has found another character to sink his acting teeth into.
  23. I decided that I better respond now rather then wait until the morning because there may be 40 pages by then. Seriously. I thought the Finale was quite good and I couldn't believe how fast the time went by. I was surprised with Tommen 'walking' out the window and I was seriously surprised about Margaery dying because I don't think any one could possibly survive that explosion.....that was dead center. I will definitely enjoy seeing QoT and the Sand Snakes taking down Cersei despite my dislike of the Dorne story. I highly doubt Jaime will be a 'Queenslayer' with the way Arya (as the young girl) looked at Jaime during the dinner at Frey's. I am not a book reader but I came up with R+L=J some time during S1. I feel so proud! I had this list of names and diagrams trying to keep everything straight back then LOL. We now know as viewers that Jon is a Stark and Targaryen but how will Jon find out? Bran or Sam? Maybe Sam will be the key to successfully fighting the WW's and Bran will reveal the truth to Jon. Whoa...what if Jon never finds out? Wouldn't that be a D&D and GRRM thing to do? I was also surprised that Jon was enthusiastically voted/declared King of the North. I doubt this will sit well with Sansa with Littlefinger constantly whispering in her ear. I am happy that Arya got her revenge on Walder Frey but I mourn the death of her childhood and quite possibly her soul. She relished her kill. It really is sad how life can change a person. All the Starks have experienced shocking tragedies since the beginning. I can't help but like the idea of Jon ending up eventually (5 years) with Lady Mormont. She would be an incredible partner. I remain very impressed with her. 10 months and counting down. Sigh.
  24. That was a hard episode to watch. I won't lie, my stomach was churning through it all. The ending was wonderful though and it made me smile. John died a hero and won't be forgotten and I think he died at peace knowing he saved Harold. Good on you John! So....is Shaw the new John? Loved her smile at the camera and that she has 'her' dog. Harold meeting up with Grace and all ready to be loved up. Nice. Welcome back machine:)
