I love her on Hacks, too, but this was kind of painful for me. (I think it was exacerbated by the slow delivery.) I couldn't help but think of how many comedians there must be out there who could make a really funny hour special and will never get the chance. Again, she's exceptional on Hacks and deserves all the flowers and balloons for that.. It makes me a little sad to not like this. I found the audience's hilarious over-reactions dubious. (I feel like a dick for saying that because she's so likeable.) Two or three lines/bits were funny. Maybe if there's a next one, it will be better.

I like both of them BUT with three little ones, it was inconsiderate of her to have the surgery with the loooong recovery now. She really should have waited 'til the little girl was 5-8.

The thing is, even though it made for great dramedy, Ava kind of ruined the victory Deborah spent a grueling 50 years trying to get to. I'm a tiny bit on Deborah's team because of that. (In fairness, though, Deborah DID leave Ava stranded in the desert...) But good TV! Why is Marcus leaving? Or is he just going to LA with Deborah and the others?

Also, the teachers are off the clock and it doesn't seem right to make someone work at a party you're throwing for them. (It may have been producer-driven, though.) That said, I like the Busbys.

I like the new interns, but for some reason I have a mental block when it comes to remembering their names (except Symone).

In my own experience, it may get extremely bad at times of severe stress, but I don't remember it ever going away entirely.
