I liked having the day from last week's episode from Alison and Cole's perspective. Of course, I just want Joshua Jackson on screen as much as possible. He is a secondary character and I am totally just in this show for him. What I found interesting in the differences is that in Cole's memory, he looked so much worse. He was just a basic hot mess. In Alison's memory he was hostile, but he wasn't this shell of a man. The belly made me laugh every time I saw it. *jiggle jiggle* I was glad to see in Cole's memory and the woman who got in his taxi and clearly wanted Cole to take her for a ride, that it didn't happen. It would have been just one more way for Cole to be degraded. And of course, we wouldn't have met the nanny if we weren't going to see her again. So, enjoy that Cole. As for Alison's perspective (since I guess not everything is about Joshua Jackson...for shame)...I did think it was interesting to see that she has once again isolated herself, but this time in Noah's world. She doesn't have anything out there. If she wants to walk to town she needs to trek for 6 miles. I do like how much the owners took her in, but I kept waiting for the older guy to be creepy about it. I think that is more my issue than reality, or at least I hope. However even so...Noah doesn't celebrate her taking an opportunity, he chastises her for it. I don't like how Alison doesn't have anything that is her's there. At least in the flash forwards, we get to see the Cole gets his life together and looks pretty gosh darn good. I do think there is more to the story than Noah killing Scotty. It's too complicated of a show for that to be it. So, I think something else happened and a lot of people know what did happen, but are willing to keep their mouths shut about it, Noah included. So, I have to think the person involved was either Alison or Noah's oldest daughter. I don't think there is anyone else that Noah would risk his freedom for.

I guess I just saw the Russian involvement wrong. I saw those Russian paid killers as not people trying to kill Carrie for the Russians as a whole entity, but paid assassins who are doing Allison's dirty work. They got the documents back for her. They are eliminating Carrie for her. I see her as the main driving point. I also think she blew up the plane. It's all her. She told Saul to give what's his face some of his cigarettes. She put the electronic bomb in there. I don't think Dar and Saul are working together just yet, but I do think that they are both gonna have a light bulb moment about Allison and will come together to bring her down. I do like that they didn't go the usual TV show route and have Jonas be jealous and therefore less helpful when it came to Quinn. He basically called Carrie an asshole for not caring about Quinn enough. I am used to it being someone too worried about losing their woman, so they put the well meaning person in harms way.

I imagine that is only said by someone who has not been raped....violently.

Johnny is such a hypocrite too. Him saying he would NEVER do that to Sarah because they were playing this game together. Sorry....bull to the shit on that one. All we have to do is call Paula and ask what it is like to play a game with Johnny all the way up to the end and then see him send you packing. I saw Johnny tweet that this situation was totally different than the Paula situation. Nope, it wasn't. Actually...yes, it was. That situation was you doing Paula dirty. This situation was Sarah doing you dirty. She played your game Johnny...and beat you. Bu-bye.

There has to be a legal reason why they didn't show it. We know it wasn't a moral or ethical one....mainly because MTV has none. Now what that legal reason is, I have no idea. I do wonder if Nicole was so upset that she threatened MTV to sue or something (even though I am sure her contract would make it so she can't) or some other reason and they came to an agreement as long as MTV doesn't show the assault on tv. Someone got MTV to not milk that for all it is worth (and stuff like that is sadly their bread and butter), so there has to be a legal reason for it IMO. YMMV.

I'd make the case that Doug's obsession with Rachel doesn't even rate in comparison to his obsession with Frank and THAT is why she is dead. Frank wanted her silenced FOR GOOD and Doug knew it. That's why he turned around....for Frank.

I also what pushed it over the edge to being "too bad" for MTV to show. I think of the Portland season when they showed any and everything that Nia did including her plan to lure one of her fellow cast members out to be jumped by a guy until the guy backed out at the last minute. If that and all the other violence that MTV has only too happily shown to us, what the crap could have happened that the camera has to cut away and not show it?? And of course we get no reunion show to at least have people ask the question.

Do we really want to use Madison as an example of how to deal with conflict and when people inflict violence upon another person? The girl is a DOORMAT. She just doesn't have low self esteem, she has negative self esteem.

Bruno didn't put his hands on anyone, Jason did. It's a totally different animal when someone takes an intense argument and turns it into an assault. From the description (since we saw little to nothing), he lifted her up and slammed her into the wall.

I was thoroughly disappointed by this episode. Nicole should have been championed for making the choice she did when someone got abusive with her, but instead she was constantly asked to defend her feelings and actions. I absolutely believe that Jason is sorry for what he did, but that doesn't take back what he did and Nicole shouldn't have to forgive and forget. God.....Jason's bio dad is such a skeeve. I was so hoping that whenever he was trying to say something about how Jason is strong like him that Jason would say something about how anything he got in life was from his mother who raised him and not the sperm donor. Also, Jason is nicer than I am. Bruno is such a waste. He should have just left the house if he had such disdain for it. But then again, he probably didn't have disdain for the paychecks for staying.

Different strokes for different folks because I love both Gina and April. I think that sarcastic, mean twinge to both of them is a benefit to both shows. I often find the comments each character makes so sharp and unexpected that it surprises me and gets the best laugh. Me? I've always felt Samberg was all kinds of hot.

I was just blown away by this episode. Mike is a character I want to continue to know more and more about. Banks, as always, is just a pleasure to watch. Honestly, if you asked me which show I wanted to watch more...one about Saul or one about Mike, it's Mike hands down. I think he is riveting. This has been the best episode for me so far of BSC and the fact that it was 90% about Mike and 10% about Saul is not a koinky-dink.

Tony is such an asshole. He's what....slept with 3 women besides Madison since he's been in the house? But he goes all beserk when one of Madison's ex's comes into the house who doesn't even try to make a move on her. He's a whackjob. Unfortunately, Madison seems to have no self esteem, so she's still clearly in Camp Tony. And Bruno. I hope Carla watches the whole season and sees all of what Bruno is....and runs away. The way he spoke to her after the whole haircut thing should be enough, but seeing everything should send her for the hills. Back to Tony for a bit with the whole stealing wine bit.....I love how he is enraged that anyone call him out on his shady behavior. I did laugh out loud with his whole acting out not having AC....like that is the prime example of someone being raised in absolute poverty. Also, since when does having a hard life and being raised in poverty an excuse for stealing and being a jerkbag about it? I don't really like Nicole either. She seems to like to do things for shock value and then just yucks it up in the confessional. She's a cartoon character. And Sylvia and Jason are right that she is so into being one of the "boys" that she will accept and justify any and all of their horrible behavior. Grr. This cast is chuck full of suck.

This thread is just for that week's show. I haven't been watching or commenting since, but there still seems to be plenty of comments and chit chat in the weekly threads since Rosie left.

My fav moment was when Boyle went to have the DJ put Kokomo on and then Rosa and Nick Cannon dude had their moment and started kissing....and Boyle comes back to continue talking about Kokomo, says they are having their own little moment and then just dances and mugs for the camera in the small space in between their heads. Brilliance.

Doug wasn't going to be announced as the replacement for chief of staff until after the Iowa caucus, so no one would think it was suspect because he didn't have the job yet.

Jason's baby sure is cute. Too bad Jason was more concerned about being on a TV show than being there for the pregnancy and birth. I always thought that was kinda dickish. Pfft! I agree with Madison's sister and glad she made the point to Madison that drinking like that isn't okay for someone who is an addict. A drug is a drug is a drug. Madison doesn't see it. As long as she isn't using heroin than she thinks she is A OK. Nope. Not. I also think that she is someone who flocks to relationships for some kind of security and validation. Tony can be as much of a dickbag as he's shown himself to be, but as long as he comes back to her and gives her any kind of attention, she'll be sitting there and waiting. It's all very sad. Madison needs rehab and a recovery community much more than she needs to be on The Real World. And speculation on who sent flowers to her. If that is her ex, I am PISSED at MTV. Madison made the choice to cut him out of her life and it is a decision that is good for her recovery. People, places and things y'all. I will be especially pissed since the flowers say to meet at a certain time and to come alone. So if that is him and he has to go into that meeting blind, she also can have no support with her. I hope I am wrong...and it's someone else, but well....MTV stopped caring about the well being on the people on its show a long time ago.

The thing I love and hate about Netflix shows is the binge watch aspect. I love being able to get more and more and more, but at the same time....it doesn't build the tension in the same way of having to wait for the new episode. I can remember wracking my brain for a whole week about what will or won't happen next while watching True Detective. This show has the ability to do that, but my brain only needs to wait 10 seconds before getting MORE!!!! Heather Dunbar started out as the Anti-Frank, but I think it also made the point, purposely, that even those who have high moral and ethical standards need to get down and dirty and compromise in order to win. In the beginning Heather wanted no part of the journal Doug brought her, but in the end...she wanted it and was ready and able to use it. She may not be Frank, but the want of the office brings her to do some Frank like things. Agree. I may not like, but it makes sense to me. Doug killing Rachel showed his profound loyalty to Frank above everyone else. When he came to him with the journal to buy his way in, he also knew that he needed to build trust. In an earlier episode he said that when he found Rachel he would make sure no one else ever did again. It wasn't about avenging what she did, but about Frank. Everything for Doug is about Frank. It also showed that Doug is just another version of Frank, albeit a less powerful one. There is no redemption for Doug and I didn't think the show was ever trying to. As for Claire....her leaving at the end of the season is a twist, at least for me. I have always felt that this show has shades of the Clintons, with a powerful political couple who is willing to do whatever it takes to get the win and get through. (No, I do not believe the Clintons killed people, but other than that...they'll do anything to get to the end game). I felt the seasons continued with the parallels....having Claire have individual core agendas that she tried to push through the political influence of her husband, how she in many ways felt like a "co-president", how she had dreams of being in office on her own, etc. Hillary could have walked away from Bill during the cheating/perjury scandal, but would she be a Senator and then Secretary of State and then a probable candidate for President without it. IMO...probably not. Claire on the other hand...took that roll of the dice. I also think that Frank who can usually read a person and the room....didn't read Claire. In that moment, threatening her and telling her to play her role was not the right play. Claire had all the cards. Without her, he is going to have a hard hard time getting the nomination, let alone fighting a Republican candidate. IMO, what Frank should have done to keep Claire in the fold is to remind Claire of what her end game is...and how staying in this political sham marriage can get her to those goals, etc. I didn't like this one as much as the other seasons, but I did think it was interesting to once again see Frank and Claire try to swim through the muck of politics and see how the slug finally ripped them apart. In previous seasons, even while they were doing horrible, horrific things...they were a bonded, strong team. What this season showed is that Claire no longer feels like a part of a team, she feels like a piece of the puzzle for Frank to use when it was convenient. Big mistake Frank. Interestingly, I somehow was under the impression that this was the final season of House of Cards, but clearly not. So....give me more Netflix!

God Zach is such a douchenozzle. I am so glad that a challenge that Zach should have been in his wheelhouse, he was beaten by a guy with one hand. Tiny little Jonna was able to rock it out more than he was able to. And then to hear Zach's dismissive rants when Sarah went over to hug and support Jonna. He's such an ass. Unfortunately, some women (Jenna) will always discount his horrific personality and douchiness because he has muscles. Ugh. Blergh.

I don't personally think what Bruno did was worse or more terrifying because he is a male and is stronger. I thought the encounter with the women in the house was brutal to watch and then to see Violetta refuse to apologize for it. Sylvia might wanna look in the mirror as well since she might understand what it is like to be on the other side of an encounter like that. Yes, if Bruno did hit someone he could do a lot more damage, but the simple fact for me is that he didn't....they did. BTW- I am still somewhat enraged that Nia was allowed to stay in the house years ago when some of the housemates openly admitted they wouldn't vote against her in fear of what she may do...after she came up and bitch slapped Averey's head almost into a mirror. Nia got to stay and Averey (and her toy Johnny) ended up having to move out until the season was over. Grr. I know...off topic....my bad.

I do find it interesting how most people seem so much more upset with Bruno's behavior when he acted out and raged, but didn't actually put his hands on anyone than Sylvia and Violetta who absolutely beat down on Madison. Don't get me wrong...I think Bruno is an accident waiting to happen, but if he is shown the door....Sylvia and Violetta should be making an exit along with him. And WORD about the bullshit PSAs that MTV puts out about violence while totally loving the drama that said violence creates on their show.

S02.E16: The Wednesday Incident
shelley1234 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Brooklyn Nine-Nine
I was highly amused that Holt knew which # painting of the rock was just by looking at it. It's a cheesy joke, but one I enjoyed none the less. -
I don't know....anyone who has it on DVR...go back and watch Vivica's face when Kenya pulls the phone out from behind her back and then says it is her phone and laughs. For a second Vivica thought it was her phone and was going to get her lost phone back. And no offense to Vivica, but I don't think she's that good of an actress.

While I think Geraldo is an ass, I find it highly doubtful that he stole the phone, sent the tweet and set up Kenya to take the fall. One, he would have to know that Kenya would see the tweet and use it in the boardroom. I find that highly doubtful. Secondly, Geraldo is not going to do something that is a crime for a chance to win a reality tv series when if it came out could easily mean the end of his career at Fox News. It would be way too much risk with not nearly enough reward. Kenya might have done it...maybe. Geraldo....definitely not.

This season is just horrible, but I'll admit I just can't stop watching. I hate The Real World rule changes in the past few seasons where abuse and harassment is accepted and the victim is the one who needs to stand up and say the abuser needs to leave. I do find it funny that in the challenges it is still a hard and fast rule that if you hit someone you leave immediately, but in the Real World...you only leave if the house votes you out. I guess they enjoy the drama that picking violent and hostile people and watching the abusive, alcohol charge filled interactions. I do have a bone to pick with Tony. He is SO appalled by Bruno's behavior...you know...for like a day (before they are bros again). Tony, have you ever taken a cold, hard look at how YOU treat women??? You don't hit them, but you sure do treat them like pieces of trash to be used and thrown away whenever your penis needs a workout. Anyhoo....
