So...does everyone use the same fruit and vegetables for these comparisons? I'm an old geezer who doesn't do Instagram or Snapchat (my grands do though) so I only see what's posted here. But I would like to think if I was doing this back in the day (by cracky) when I was pregnant (and dinosaurs roamed the earth) I'd want to come up with a different thing to draw for each update than everyone else is using. Surely (and don't call me Shirley) people get tried of seeing all those babies compared to apples, bell peppers, etc. Why not change it up a bit and use kumquats or pomegranates or something to be different? Now get off of my lawn.

Since this is a TV snark forum, I'm wondering if @Celia Rubenstein is going to allow @GeeGolly to watch any ebil TV shows now..and which one will you choose for her to start with? Do tell. I know even The Andy Griffith Show is considered a little too racy for some..he DATED a woman with a job.

What I want to know is who gave you guys the sex talk beforehand...and how was it done without Legos? Velcro maybe? (Too nosy, TMI?..none of my damn business?) Ok..then forget all that..did you save your first kiss for on the stage after being ponounced married? How long did you stick around after you were pronounced? (I had to stay home to nurse my sick headship, so I missed the ceremony, now I'm sick and I wish I had a wife to nurse me!) PS..missed a lot whole I typed all this out..best wishes to you, @Arwen Evenstar!

But, if he would have written that he loved her, some of us would say OMG, why can't he keep that thought private and personal, and not share it on SM?! (can't believe I'm defending one of them, I'd better take my temperature.)

Can we have a YUCK ? button along with our ❤ button? I've needed it many times on these forums.

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
ChiCricket replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
I'm way late to the party on this, but I kept thinking " who does she remind me of?" Then it came to me..Ernestina Simple (the uncouth friend) from Hello Dolly! (I'm just catching up after being away for a few weeks) I'm probably the only one on the planet that sees this resemblance (and this was the only picture I could find of her on the internet.) I have no life. -
Did anyone remember to get the 2 bride piñatas for tomorrow? (also a Sister Wives dig) ;-)

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
ChiCricket replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
My immediate thought to this was "they're not conjoined twins, for pity sakes!" I'm not even a twin, but my sister was born on my third birthday. I was never allowed to celebrate my birthday alone...it was always a joint party and a shared cake. Oops..guess that's still a sore spot with me, and I'm 65 years old. Topic? Let the adult twins have their own damn "party" if they want to. ? -
This is my husband and me on our oldest daughter Rebecca's 1st birthday. It's 48 years ago , but it's how I still choose to see myself, in my head. (You have to avoid mirrors like the plague to make this work) ?

That's my daughter, Rosa. Her daughter Ahava was the one having her Bat Mitzvah in Puerto Rico ?? . Ahava wanted to have it there because her Abuelo (grandpa) is Puerto Rican, and she wanted to help boost the economy by having her after the Bat Mitzvah celebration there, plus then hopefully all his family could be there. Btw, I'm not Jewish, so forgive me if any of you are and I'm getting any details wrong. My daughter converted after she got married. This was my first Bat Mitzvah :) It certainly was more fun than my first Bris.(for my grandson Samuel) I was there, but I couldn't watch it :) My son in law hired a bus to go up into the mountains to pick up my husband's family. The service and then the celebration was held on the south western coast of Puerto Rico. I think it was about an hour and a half away from the town where they all live. We were shocked and very happy that almost his whole family came! They had it there because my son in law Nathan, who was a successful engineer (not the train kind) but then became a physician at 41 years old (his father was one) had gone on a medical mission to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria, and even though that hotel was heavily damaged, they housed and fed (for free) many support/rescue people. They wanted to have it there to help get them back to business. (Sorry so long winded, I'm seriously decompressing from this trip) Here's a picture of Ahava. PS..I stayed at this hotel one night, the other 20 days were up in the mountains :)

After a full night's sleep, in my own bed, in my own house (which was wonderful) I need to add this. My husband's (rural) Puerto Rican family, and (almost every other Puerto Rican I have ever met) are the kindest, most giving people I have ever known. They will give you the shirt off of their back, feed you delicious home cooked meals until you are ready to pop, and make you endless (strong) cups of coffee, with condensed milk and sugar, of course. :) Even when you show up more or less unannounced, they all offer you a bed in their house, to stay for as long as you like (We rotated houses, we were a hot commodity, at least my husband was...nah.. they love me too) It was heart wrenching leaving them. I love them as much as my own family (maybe more in a couple of cases) ;) My husband's brother Jonny just got electricity back to his house..because he and some neighbors had been without power for four months, so they decided to rehang the power lines themselves....I mean..by themselves. I was terrified someone was going to get electrocuted... But no..they got all the houses up there powered up again. Who knows how much longer they would have had to wait for someone to get to them?! Then, to finish this on a positive note..everyone who connected their power back (by themselves, mind you) invited everyone in the neighborhood to a pig roast to celebrate. Coconuts were cut down, pastelles were made (a lot of work!) And lots of rice and gandules, avocados right from the tree, and home made Flan (to die for!) were served. They even took my daughter Rosa to a local bakery at the last second to get her daughter Ziva a birthday cake, for her 11th Birthday, which was that same day. A good time was had by all :) Ps..NOW I think I'm done..thanks for putting up with me..lol PPs anytime any of you want to see the real Puerto Rico (not just touristy San Juan) LMK, I'll hook you up ;)

Finally home after 21 days in Puerto Rico (was supposed to be 5 days.) I missed you all..and my BATHTUB fulll of hot, steamy water (good for an old aching body.) Why doesn't rural PR have any bathtubs?..They don't know what they're missing.(I know, I'm spoiled :) I have totally converted my Puerto Rican husband...he used to say "I love cold showers! We don't need water heaters up here!" Ha..he took a hot bath as soon as he unpacked :-) I was so homesick..I don't even care what the difference in the weather is/will be! We may get 8" of snow tomorrow..yay!..still NO mosquitos! PS I am missing whatever DNA makes for a happy traveler..Home sweet (cold) home for me ;) PPs thanks for letting me blab :)

So glad he's going to be ok @Rabbittron!

Another day, another cousin with Wi-Fi. It's weird how many less people are on the island (at least up in the mountains where I am right now.) I've especially noticed all the young families seem to have moved to the mainland. :( My grandkids (who are homeschooled) were patiently waiting for school to let out, and still hardly ANY kids in the neighborhood to play with. Weird. (I know that's partly because nobody is having super large families anymore..but it is eerily quiet around my husband's old neighborhood except for barking dogs, crowing chickens, and coquis. :( Where are all the kids?!

Another day, another Puerto Rican cousin visit (who has Wi-Fi, yay!) So if you're thinking of me being in a luxurious tropical resort...HA! More like sweltering heat with non stop multiple conversations going on on little porches in little houses for hours and hours (my husband is in heaven.) My husband has more cousins than should be legally allowed! ;) If I sound extra cranky, I AM..I do not do hot weather well, plus I had the runs (TMI?) for the last two days...and I have NEVER gotten sick in the multiple trips I have made to Puerto Rico before..I don't think their water system is anywhere near normal yet. (And I've only been drinking bottled water this time, but who knows what the food was rinsed in.) Ok..sorry.whiney mcwhinerson out until the next WiFi connected cousin...lol (If you read this far, thanks for being a shoulder to vent on!) Just 7 more days...

Quick update while I'm at a relative's house with Wi-Fi..still in Puerto Rico...kind of being being emotionally blackmailed by my husband and daughter and grandkids into staying longer than I wanted to. (whine whine whine, poor me, 84 ° here and only 28° at home.) But I am homesick,dagnabbit!...and I am one BIG mosquito bite and I'm TIRED of only talking in Spanish and I'm sick to death of rice and beans and chicken!! Thanks for letting me vent..sorry I didn't have enough Wi-Fi time to read anything you all wrote, so I'm apologizing in advance. (just 8 more days, just 8 more days, just 8 more days) I hereby give HUGE props to older people who changed countries and had to adapt to another language. It really starts to addlepate your brain after awhile. (Sorry, I'm rambling)

I'm visiting family in Puerto Rico & our phone service up here in the mountains is nonexistant. Both my husband and I have Sprint phones, we might as well have brought rocks from our yard for all the good they are doing us. :-D Out of his huge family up here, only one has WiFi, so my tablet has been almost useless also. I'm jonesing, I tell you! (Plus my husband is cheap, so he didn't rent a car, so we're walking up and down hill and dale.. I am POOPED) PS..did I mention we came here for my first ever Bat Mitzvah? It was for my granddaughter Ahava, who just turned 13 :) I was so proud of her, she did the service in English, Spanish, and Hebrew! (I kept holding the prayer book backwards, I had never seen one in Hebrew before) SO interesting, and I'm so proud of her. Ok..leaving That relative's house so no more connectivity for me for awhile. Miss you all! Pps..wow..Puerto Rico looks so DIFFERENT Lots of wires still down. I can see things from my in-law's house miles away, that I could never see before (all the trees are down now)

@ginger90, I just want to thank you for always keeping us in the know. I'm an old geezer, and forget to check stuff like Instagram and Twitter (and whatever else that's new that I've missed.) So, thanks :)
