Same thing with my husband (whose first language is Spanish because he's from Puerto Rico). I finally decided 'making' him go someplace when he didn't really want to be there,was not worth the agita. It just ruined my enjoyment of whatever it was. We have 5 kids, but when he didn't want to be there, I felt like I had six. We've now been married for forty-five years, btw, and he still tries to get me to make appointments for him, because he says "nobody understands me on the phone." (his English is so good he can beat me in Scrabble, which is no mean feat, if I do say so myself.) Good luck getting yours to make his own appointments!

Thanks @kassygreene ! Going on my laptop instead of my phone did the trick,both on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. YAY. What am I doing wrong not to make kassygreene be highlighted? I thought maybe it was because I put an ! right next to his/her name, but even with a space it doesn't seem to work. PS the mother was worse in the bonus clip than I thought she was when I just watched the show.

I'm agnostic now, but I still say R.I.P. (when someone dies)and Bless You (when someone sneezes) out of pure habit.

Did those of you who watched the bonus clips on CBS have to give credit card info? I don't mind signing up for a site (I have a "junk" email address just for that purpose). But I refuse to give credit card info for a "free" trial (I never remember to cancel the subscription). Sounds like I have to search You Tube to really see them free...is that correct?

(By Scott Whitlock, Newsbusters) According to speculation by the Daily Mail on Friday, Nicolle Wallace, a liberal Republican who worked on John McCain's 2008 campaign and famously feuded with Sarah Palin, has been selected to fill the "conservative" seat on ABC's The View. The rumor comes a day after the producer of the left-wing Rachel Maddow Show was hired to run the ABC chat show. Daily Mail writer Topper Toussaint claimed, "Commentator S.E. Cupp was also considered, but clashed with Rosie [O'Donnell]." He added, "'Rosie told her that her approach was just like Elisabeth Hasselbeck, which did not sit well,' according to the show insider." If the reports are true, Wallace will hardly be a conservative counterweight to the very liberal O'Donnell.

Btw, I don't think it's true, either. They are both intelligent, mature women,I think they can work well with each . Someone is just stirring the pot to get some "buzz" imo

I also think it's time to hire a Latina, but for the life of me nobody springs to mind (and I've been married to a Puerto Rican for 44 years.) I guess my point is,the women who my husband watches on TV (on Spanish stations), are not well known to a lot of "white" Americans. (I realize there Hispanics of all colors,btw.) This reminds me, that when some say Latina, others say Hispanic, which I think is a regional thing. Although surely there are people who can find someone who would do well in the job no matter what we call them, or what they like to call themselves. I agree that Maria Menounos is Greek. She seems nice, but her laugh would get on my nerves, quickly!

Does anyone else watch The View with their closed captions on, and their finger on the mute button? It has gotten so that my finger automatically presses mute when SS or BW start to speak. Their actual voices grate on my nerves.

I replayed it and thought maybe Will was saying no to the idea of a "nappy". Kids that age need naps but usually don't like the idea.

Growing up, I watched all the Andy Hardy films with Mickey Rooney. (reruns,I'm old, but not *that* old) Also, John Pinette was one of my favorite comedians.He cracked me up with his Chinese buffet routine "you go now! You been here FOUR HOURS!!" (I can't believe there's even a forum here for commenting on celebrity deaths,it's so hard to talk about certain things with my kids, who in this case never heard of either of them)
