Between his enormous weight gain, garish tattoos and copious amounts of sweat dropped into the food, he is even more disgusting. Yay to Antonia but enough with the "cousin" talk. I can't overstate my hatred of the song "Rude" by Magic. It's about a man who goes to his girlfriend's father to get his permission to marry his daughter and gets turned down. The idea of a woman being treated as a piece of property to be passed from one owner to the next makes me want to throw up. It's in heavy rotation on the radio station we listen to at work and it's all I can do not to throw something at the radio when it comes on. Hate.

I was just googling strictly come dancing and apparently they have announced the first celebrity. I've never heard of her (Frankie Sanford from The Saturdays) but the good news is that she is in her 20's and must be somewhat musical. And I have heard that strictly often gives the new pro a contender, so here's hoping that Tristan gets her.

He was much better in supporting roles. Dead Poets Society is one of my very favorite movies. There were a couple of scenes where he almost veered into his manic shtick but the director must have reined him in. The scene in the classroom where he pulls a poem out of Ethan Hawke was so beautiful. He was also very good in Good Will Hunting.

Gee, was Brooke not classically trained like Shirley? I didn't get that the first ten times she mentioned it. I am not loving the gimmicky challenges and the need to "tell a story." Thank you. Those are the only two Julia Roberts movies I can watch. She has two facial expressions: huge gaping mouth wide open or smug arrogance. It must be written into her contract that she has to shriek a la the jewelry box scene in Pretty Woman at least once in every one of her movies. The only Tom Hanks movies I have ever purposely missed co-star that harpy.

I am really looking forward to this but boy I wish they had paired Stephanie and Blais. Then she could have kicked his ass again and maybe he would finally shut up about "choking" in their finale.

I will freely admit that I love Mariano Rivera, so maybe I am prejudiced. However, to my knowledge he lives his faith in his actions and in his great generosity and kindness to all people. Also to my knowledge he is not a homophobe and does not brag that his wife is subservient to him. The Cameron/Bures of the world are not fit to be mentioned in the same breath. I would love to see Mo on the show but he is very religious and I wonder if that would be a problem for him? As a die hard Yankees fan, my pick would be Bernie Williams, the great centerfielder. He is a classical guitarist, very musical and graceful and also easy on the eyes.

I was so disappointed to hear that The Stand will only be a three hour movie. I also thought that it should get a stand alone 8 episode or so arc a la True Detective. The Stand is my favorite Stephen King book and I hated the mini-series. Molly Ringwald could not have been more miscast as Frannie. And the guy who played Harold Lauder? Awful. I am also blanking on the actress who played Nadine but she was pretty bad as was the actor who played Larry Underwood. I still get upset beyond all reason when I think of it.
