  1. Yeah, I would hope that none of the women would be stupid enough to carry illegal drugs with them into a foreign country. Also, I had no idea that meth smelled like cat pee. Seems like the smell alone would be enough to keep people from even trying it.
  2. I remember when the episodes first aired, there was a lot of speculation about whether or not Kelly was on something. If I recall, it had to do with Sonja's comments about one of the rooms smelling like cat pee. Since I don't really know anything about drugs - I know pot makes you hungry but not much else. Does anyone know what drug would smell like cat pee? Or am I just confusing the cat pee remarks with something else entirely?
  3. Ever since the PS episode, and I know that Brooke shared the listing, I wonder how much of this applies to her. Is she still doing Real Estate? I hope she is doing well.
  4. I caught a repeat of the reunion and really listened closely to what Yolanda was saying about Brandi. When she was saying that she believes that Brandi needs all of them and needs their support, I got the distinct impression that she was begging these women to help Brandi keep her job by continuing to film with her. I suspect that is why Brandi didn't go ape shit over the "throw her out like a bag of trash" line. She needs Yolanda to sway the other women because she knows she has completely burned that bridge. What's most interesting to me about Brandi at that reunion was that she was sitting there looking at two women (Kyle and Lisa V) who had tried to move on with her multiple times and given her plenty of chances, and instead of owning that and apologizing for her behavior, she went on the attack time and again and even convinced herself that she was being abused by them when she had been the aggressor. And then, she had the chance to get in good with both Eileen and LisaR as they, well LisaR, had been willing to give her a chance with a clean slate. I think Brandi repeats her marriage with every relationship she has whether it is a romantic or friendly relationship. She clings and even appoints herself as the protector of her friend. Then, when things start to cool as the honeymoon phase ends, she brings in other people. Instead of bring other women into the marriage, she brings in another party to be the target of her aggression as she tries to keep the friends' approval. When that doesn't work, she goes completely HAM and gets physical - instead of slashing the tires, she threatens, restrains, and slaps. It is very disturbing, especially when we consider that she has young children who will watch and maybe even emulate her behavior. Back to Yolanda and her defense of Brandi. I think Yolanda sees the desperation in her. And maybe as someone else speculated, Yolanda had a "there but the grace of God" moment and realized that she could have been Brandi. I'm not sure that Yolanda would have ever allowed herself to end up like Brandi, because she has that very pragmatic almost simplistic way of looking at life. But, I think she looks at Brandi and sees where she could have ended up in a similar circumstance if she had made different choices. Because for Yolanda it is all about choices, even sexuality is a choice in her mind.
  5. The best example of this to me was the fight Bethenny and Ramona had on the bridge. Ramona, wearing a True Faith T-shirt, says she believes that the problem with Bethenny and Jill is because Bethenny is way too much into courting the media. Bethenny reminds Ramona that Bethenny's tweets about her product got Ramona a whole bunch of new followers and customers. Ramona goes BATSHIT! And doesn't let up until Bethenny starts to cry saying that she doesn't care about winning and mentions her father being sick and all of it being too much. It is not until that point that Ramona calms down. Insane.
  6. I remember. That was where I saw Jill's hand in things the most. Because it was obvious no one knew what she was talking about. And when she said it had to be Bethenny because Bethenny is a Media Whore, I knew this was something Jill had been feeding her.
  7. The jealousy was definitely there. It was the only explanation that I could come up with for her reaction to the gift bags Bethenny had made for everyone. She seemed to be offended that it contained Skinny Girl branding on the products. And, I'm sorry but those things were nice. She took the time to have the women's initials embroidered on them, so some thought definitely went into it. And, there is no way that Bethenny put Kelly in the press. I really think Jill was feeding Kelly that line of bull. Does anyone remember Kelly's blog after part 1 of Scary Island. It was like one line where she apologized and said that she was embarrassed. The next blog after part 2, she was suddenly accusing everyone of bullying her - when she did all of the bullying on that trip.
  8. The crazy thing about Brandi's off screen behavior was how often the other women supported her. Kyle, of all people, reached out to Brandi after the tampon incident. And the funny thing is that Kyle never took any credit for it. Brandi was the one singing Kyle's praises and talking about how much she appreciated Kyle seeing that she was in pain and making an effort even though they weren't friends at the time. At the time, I remember thinking that Kyle had to be doing this for some type of recognition or glory - because it's Kyle and she has always struck me as being someone who wants praise for being a decent person. But, I have to acknowledge that she didn't seek any attention for making up with Camille. She was the first person to reach out to Camille after Kelsey humiliated her so publicly as well. Then there was how she stood by Taylor when she didn't have to. It pains me to say that Kyle seems to have actual redeeming qualities. I hate that I can't find any in Kim or Brandi.
  9. I agree. The way she said that she was only interested in having an HONEST conversation spoke volumes to me. And you could see Kim react to it as well.
  10. I don't think there is an issue with Lisa Rinna's eating. We have seen her eating on camera. Maybe Brandi hasn't seen it because Brandi tends to dampen most people's appetites or because she was drunk. We have actually seen her eating on camera more than Brandi, Kim, Kyle or Lisa V. The only other person that we have seen eating more and seeming to enjoy eating is Eileen. But, we all saw all of the women eating at Eileen's house. ETA: The only people we didn't see eating at Eileen's were the two who were the most fucked up that night - Kim and Brandi. I can't think of a time when I saw Brandi eating on camera, but I sure have seen her drinking.
  11. I am not sure that Alexis would be considered a child. Wasn't she 18 at the time she was bitten? Would the rules applied to a child still apply? Not disputing anything that you are saying because I agree with most of it. I just want to know if the rules about it being a child would still apply. I feel like I should also chime in on the whole vicious dog thing. I was mauled by a German Shepherd when I was 4. I was in shock for a week, and at age 40 I still have the visible scars on my legs. My brother was mauled by a Doberman as a teen. He wasn't as lucky in his surroundings (the owner didn't come to his rescue as in my case) and ended up dying as a result of the attack. I have always been uncomfortable around dogs in general as a result of my experience. So the stuff with Kingsley really disturbs me. I don't want any animal to ever be mistreated, but I do believe that there are situations where an animal should be put down for public safety reasons - in both me and my brother's case the attacks were unprovoked, but the dogs were allowed to simply roam free with no supervision and the owners weren't concerned with what the dogs would be up to while running around. I only mention that history because 1) I am very relieved to know that animal ownership laws have evolved past where they were when I and my brother were children. 2) I believe that Kim is the most irresponsible dog owner that I have ever witnessed. I would really like to know more about this specific case, even though it brings back many disturbing memories for me. So, when I ask if Alexis would be considered a child victim, what I really want to know is if there is any possibility at all that Kingsley is not back in that house and an active danger to children in Kim's neighborhood or social circle. ETA: In both dog attack cases, my father had to go directly to the owners and demand that the animals be put down. I am pretty sure that he actually threatened to do the deed himself if the owners didn't go through the proper channels to have it done.
  12. I think that Kyle and Lisa are in the perfect position to deal effectively with Brandi. Out of the rest of the cast, including Kim and Yolanda, Kyle and Lisa have had the most experience with Brandi and her napalm nature. With that said, as much as I enjoyed how they both handled her last night, I really wish they had taken a different approach. The best way to deal with Brandi is to neutralize her mid-attack. Lisa was on the offensive last night, and I applaud that because I haven't see that from her before. Usually at reunions, she will be very strategic and phrase things in certain ways without really committing to a stance. Last night she gave no quarter. She came prepared to address everything with her without flinching. It was refreshing, but not the move of a master manipulator. Kyle is always an emotional disingenuous mess at reunions (I have a theory on why both Kyle and Kim come across as so disingenuous no matter how sincere they are, but that is a different post). So, I was glad to see that she did hold it together for the most part. Here is where I think they went wrong. Instead of engaging Brandi, they should have dismissed her every chance they got. When I say dismissed, I mean every time she threw a childish comeback at them ("I still get my period", "you're jealous because he didn't want to fuck you", "watch your back", etc.) they should have laughed derisively and then turned their attention back to Andy to wait for the next question. That would have not only spiked Brandi's guns, it would have put Andy on the spot as the shit stirrer. While Brandi would be trying to figure out her next move to get a rise, or display of anger, or pearl clutching out of them, Andy would be stuck trying to fill the dead air while Lisa and Kyle patiently waited for his next question. If they had done that at any point, Brandi wouldn't have been able to do anything. They would have effectively neutralized her to the point that she couldn't even backpedal like she does when she goes too far with Yolanda. Her guns would have been spiked and she would have either left the stage in a huff as a way to get attention, or she would have just started trying to engage them in whatever way she could by throwing out insults until she had to be told to be quiet by Andy. They both know that Brandi will do absolutely anything to be relevant and keep that Bravo paycheck. They wouldn't even need to refuse to film with her to neutralize her. They would just have to stop giving her what she wants and then...no more Brandi. I have confessed many times to how much I dislike Kyle, but I also think that she is much more relevant and needed on this show than either Kim or Brandi. Even when I absolutely hated her after season 1 I thought she was much more needed on this show than Kim was. After she took the brunt of viewer wrath as Game Night Fall out, I thought she was even that much more needed on this show. I mean here we had Kim being and asshole, telling someone she had never met that she didn't like them, and hiding that person's crutches. But, the viewers blamed Kyle. Kim wasn't considered responsible for her actions and Kyle standing up for Kim was some how worse than the things that Kim did and then admitted that she never watched after the fact. A producer even stepped in and wrote a "Behind the scenes" blog in defense of Kyle. They need Kyle on this show, even as a villain. Lisa has always been my favorite Housewife of any franchise. She manages to be likable and villainous in the fun Dynasty way. I don't like everything that Lisa does. But, I love her. And it isn't because she is masterful at it or "owns it". It is just that she is freaking FABULOUS! She is trashy when it suits her; she is manipulative when it suits her; she is sweet and charming when it suits her. She was made for TV. And I think that she was grooming Brandi to be the same and thought that they had an understanding about that until Brandi turned on her. I don't know how much shit Brandi made up about Lisa versus how much Lisa really did feed Brandi things off camera. I tend to believe Lisa simply because Brandi has been proven to be the biggest liar on this show since Taylor Ford Armstrong. So, I do think she was genuinely hurt by Brandi last season. Not the kind of hurt she was with Kyle though. Because I think with Kyle it was a hit to Lisa's ego that Kyle made disparaging comments. You can get over hurtful comments with time, but to have someone accuse you of something in a public forum, things that you deny but are worded in such a way that they are believable by someone you trusted enough to mentor is the difference for me. So, knowing all of that going in, I really wish the two of them could have equally and effectively minimized Brandi's presence in a way that was spectacularly dismissive but not overtly hostile.
  13. He's 100 percent stealing your God Damn ability to watch these crazy hos!
  14. Why should it? Kyle and Kim had just had a good moment that even - according to both of them - ended with a hug. The next minute Kim is putting Kyle on the spot by saying "thanks a lot Kyle" dripping with venom. Why should Kyle then wait to find out what changed in the minute and 30 seconds since their last conversation?
  15. She wasn't cut from Halloween. She is Tommy's friend, Lyndsay, and the other kid that Laurie babysat when Michael Myers decided to come home. I LOVE that movie. It was one of the reasons I immediately wanted to watch BH. I had never heard of Kim Richards, but I knew who Kyle was from Halloween and Little House on the Prairie. I was kind of disappointed to find out how much I disliked Kyle after watching the show. Even though I dislike her, I can't imagine the show without her. I consider her to be one of the show's anchors.
  16. Kim also tried to talk to Kyle alone on poker night and Brandi wouldn't allow that either. And Kyle wasn't trying to get in Kim's face, she was trying to find out why they went from being totally fine to Kim being pissed with her.
  17. Season 3 just started and I am amazed at how quickly Jill and Luann ganged up on Ramona. They went from having a good time to holding her responsible for something Mario said when Ramona wasn't even there. And when she tried to tell Luann that she should address that with Mario, Jill got all offended and they are acting like it was Ramona who insulted them. Cut to Jill and Luann meeting up with Kelly and telling them how out of line Ramona was. Ramona didn't call Luann Countless - Mario did. Ramona wasn't even there she heard about it second hand. This was my favorite season of all of the NY seasons. Jill picking a fight with Bethenny without warning her that would be their story line. Jill trying to make Kelly the new Bethenny. Ramona and her renewal. Scary Island. I'm so excited to watch this season again.
  18. Brandi also doesn't seem to understand that the women may clutch their pearls at a one-off event of acting out or even laugh the second time out of nervousness; but her bad behavior is repeated. She tends to keep escalating the offensiveness of her behavior in a way that says "there is something wrong here." I don't think there is a single person on the BH cast that hasn't dealt with or been on the receiving end of Brandi's kind of trashy behavior. I think that is why Brandi got a pass from all of the women at certain points during each season. But, she doesn't realize she can't keep behaving the same way to the same people over and over again and not expect them to get tired of it. Kim got a pass for so many seasons because no one wanted to repeat Kyle's outburst about her being an alcoholic at the end of the first season. But, now she is surrounded by the people who were either there, or were not even part of the cast when Kyle outed her. One thing I always admired about Lisa V was that she supported Kyle when it came to Kim's behavior. Even when they were on the outs, Lisa never went back on what she said about Kyle always defending and protecting Kim. Brandi is a just a different animal. Kyle, while not ever really trusting Brandi, was supportive of her. She was the first person to reach out and apologize after game night. She kept trying to engage her once she saw her becoming friendly with Lisa V. She even believed the trash Brandi talked about Lisa V. She reached out to Brandi after the tampon incident. She was in a good place with Brandi until they got to Eileen's for poker night. Brandi doesn't remember any of those things now though. Because all she sees is Kyle happily married with vacation homes and fancy trips and kids that actually seem to like her. I would feel sorry for Brandi if she weren't so cruel to the people she interacts with.
  19. It didn't look like she went for the throat to me. It looked like she was going to cover her mouth or grab her face and then Kim moved and you can actually see Rinna stop herself from actually touching her. So, I think they both had quick reflexes there. Kim moved her face fast enough that Rinna's hand moved more towards the throat than the face and Rinna caught herself and stopped like a centimeter from actually touching her.
  20. I don't know if there is a "usual" for this type of thing. Parents tend to know their kids and what they are capable of, even when the kids in question don't want to admit it sometimes. Kathy probably saw Kyle as the most stable of her children. Since Kathy Hilton was travelling a great deal, and Kim didn't even own a home and had had so many divorces and there was also the addiction issues. A good friend of mine recently lost her father. Her mother is still living and she has an older brother. When her father was diagnosed with cancer, both of her parents sat her down and told her that she would be executor of both estates. She was angry because she believed that this was a job for her older brother or her mother. Since her mother was getting older (no less quick witted though), they both decided it wouldn't be a good idea for her to be the executor - especially since she would be grieving her husband of 3 decades. So they knew that it would have to be one of the children. And, they just didn't trust her brother to respect their wishes. Not that he is a bad guy, but he simply isn't the more responsible of the two children. They figured that he would just ignore all of the responsibility if it were left to him to take care of it. So, she relented. Her father passed 3 years ago, and she is still sorting out things that concern her mother and medical treatments as well as getting the estate in order so that her mother receives the monies that are coming to her. And she dreads having to do the same for her mother once she passes, but she accepted the responsibility because she knew her parents were right. Her brother would never take care of the things necessary. It really is a big burden to put on a loved one, but at the same time it shows a really big level of trust that they will respect your final wishes are carried out. From the way things worked out it seems that Big Kathy made the right choice.
  21. Hopefully, even Kim isn't that vile.
  22. This part stood out to me because it is the only thing in your post that I actually disagree with. Kyle has been lambasted every season that she has been on, this is the first time I am seeing such public outcry against Kim. I think Kyle has had to explain herself so much more over the seasons than Kim did and it was because Kim was seen as a frail recovering and relapsing addict and it got her a great deal of sympathy. Kim has always had supporters who thought that Kyle was bullying her, or that Kyle was a terrible sister to drag her on this show when she has obvious anxiety issues, or that Kyle was constantly making a big deal of Kim's missed appearances and tardiness. I honestly think this is the first season that Kyle has ever been cut even the slightest amount of slack regarding her behavior/relationship with Kim - all of her other foibles and mean behaviors are still being called out, but in regards to Kim, people are getting a glimpse of what it must have been like to deal with her for decades. Even during the original game night - Kim led that charge but Kyle got the blow back from it. But now that the producers have stopped trying to protect Kim viewers are seeing a little more balance in that relationship when it comes to how the two of them interact. I have never been a Kyle fan and this season is no exception. But, being an older sister who feels responsible for my younger siblings, I can't imagine what it would be like for her to feel she has to protect and take care of someone who by all rights should have been looking out for her all of these years. The two of them are shitty people. But, Kyle got a really raw deal in the sister department and it pains me to say that, but it's true.
  23. I suspect that she was prompted to go back. I don't know why, but something about that seemed like she would have been glad to keep on running, because she stopped so abruptly. And, she didn't immediately turn and go back in. I think someone in the crew prompted her to go back in and not leave without the other women.
  24. Kim's behavior was rather odd there. It felt like everyone was just enjoying the ridiculousness of what they have all been willing to do for fame. Kim seemed to be taking herself way too seriously. I wonder if she was just on the offensive because the conversation involved LisaR. But, that type of snarking at each other is what I prefer to see at reunions. But, the lightheartedness kind of left all of the Housewives franchises some time ago. I really want them to get back to it though.
  25. Wait. I thought she and JR broke up back in February? I seem to remember reading about one of her Podcasts in February where she says she broke up with JR and as soon as she did she met a hot teacher. She also said that Kim was mad at her because of the way she was "edited" in the last few episodes of the show in that same podcast. Which is why it is so weird that she was going on and on about how much she loves Kim in her last blog. I don't listen to her podcast, but one of the sites I read will write about them if she says anything interesting or has on an interesting guest. I will go back and see if I can find the link. ETA: Found it.
