  1. Interesting that in her blog, Brandi says that LisaR threw ice water at Kim before she broke the wine glass. But, she also says that Lisa broke the glass in their faces. They were all standing and Lisa broke the glass on the edge of the table which is still dangerous and unacceptable, but it wasn't in or toward their faces. Is that more hyperbole? I'm awful because as much as I hate that LisaR lost her shit like that. A part of me totally laughed and said to myself "Rinna will cut a bitch if she doesn't back up off her man." My husband and I rewound that several times and he kept saying "damn, that bitch is gangsta (because she broke the glass and was holding the stem like a shiv." Then he made the best joke ever (I love that he will watch this one reality show with me). He was like "Where's Harry Hamlin with Medusa's head to turn Kim into stone? That woman is a Kracken if ever there was one."
  2. You are forgetting that it was BRANDI that asked Lisa R to talk to Kyle and the others about a possible intervention. And, the person who actually ran with it seemed to be Yolanda - since LisaR said point blank that it wasn't her place to stage an intervention for Kim. So, no I don't think that Kyle, Eileen, and Lisas tried to stage an intervention for Kim. I think Brandi did and used Yolanda and LisaR to do it for her because she couldn't handle the idea that Kim might know that Brandi knew she wasn't sober.
  3. In order for this the work. The one person who is truly genuinely and totally committed to their recovery HAS to be the addict themselves. It is beyond enabling and downright unfair for an addict to expect that level of commitment from any person other than themselves. Because in the end all of the support in the world is not going to help unless the addict is the one who is committed at all times to their own sobriety and it is a cop out to expect any other person - no matter how close that person is to you to be the one committed to your own sobriety. ETA: You are right that it takes one person committed, but it can't ever be anyone other than the addict themselves and that is what Kim and Brandi need to realize. It goes hand in hand with no one can make an addict realize that they are an addict. Only the addict can. And only the addict can be fully committed to keeping themselves sober. Support helps and is necessary, but support is not the thing that will keep them sober.
  4. No, she was really saying "why are you giving me the silent treatment while staring daggers at me ?" That isn't her asking if she had taken anything.
  5. Neither LisaR or Eileen have forced any type of help onto Kim. LisaR let Kim know that there was help out there for her so that she didn't have to feel alone with all that she was going through. That was the extent of it. Eileen tried to broker peace between the two sisters in a much more gracious way than Kim tried to "broker peace" between Kyle and Brandi. That was the extent of Eileen's involvement. That Kim has a persecution complex and Brandi is feeding that by giving her less than truthful stories about who is doing all of the talking about Kim, does not make Eileen or LisaR abusive in anyway. After the reading, nothing more was said to Kim about her behavior until KIM brought up her sobriety. Yolanda brought up the subject of Bella's DUI and invited the women to share personal stories to show that no one's life is perfect. Kim assumed that this had to do with her own issues. Since she was already hell bent on being angry at Kyle and LisaR - again thanks to Brandi - she pounced when LisaR tried to offer her an apology. Again, not offer help or advice, but a freaking apology and Kim attacked her for it. Whether Kim is sober or not I don't care. I just want her gone from this show because not only does she bring nothing to it, she gives Brandi a reason for being on and I am over them both. ETA: I do not condone LisaR throwing the glass. I do know that if I saw red just watching it on TV, there is no telling how someone witnessing it first hand would react. But, it was not ok and someone could have been seriously injured as a result. That being said, Kim does not belong on this show and neither does Brandi. I NEVER thought that I would say that about either one of them, but their behavior has been beyond insufferable and their misery is not entertaining to me.
  6. IKR?! Kim is just beyond. According to Brandi (she may have been lying, who knows?) Kyle was one of the first people to reach out to her and offer her support after the tampon string incident. Seeing Kim behave the way she does, I do kind of believe that. If she is used to constantly having to deal with drunken/drug induced antics, she probably did see a reason to reach out to Brandi and let her know she had support. I think it is ingrained in her to feel for the person making poor choices and getting caught in those situations by the public. I can't believe how much I am changing my stance. I am still not a Kyle defender, by any stretch of the imagination. But, I now have the gif of her giving Kim the double finger while yelling "fuck you." I think it is my new spirit animal. Kim has enraged me that much.
  7. Exact same behavior and words that she used towards Brandi on Game Night. ETA: The interesting thing is that Kyle was defending Kim on Game Night and look where it got her? She is still dealing with Kim's bitch attitude and behavior and asked to side with her as though she is right. ETA: Fuck you Kim! Get the hell off my screen.
  8. At this point, Kim still has no idea what has been going on behind her back. If she did, she would turn her rage on her BFF who outed all of Kim's issues to the camera to get some kudos for being a good friend. And, Kim was not the only one of the three girls to work her childhood away. Kyle worked throughout her childhood as well. And at the time, Kyle was still working as a teen, Kim was already on her first or second rich husband. I have all the sympathy in the world for anyone dealing with addiction. But you can't blame addiction for a shit personality and evil intent.
  9. Kim seemed to be slurring her words which could just be a byproduct of years of alcohol/drug abuse. My Father in Law has been sober for 20 years and he still slurs when he speaks, so that could be true. But, the other HW are not making story lines about her, BRAVO is and Kim knows that. She knew it when she tried to stage an intervention for Taylor and she knows it now. As for the shooting double birds and yelling "fuck you" I am totally on Kyle's side with that now. Kyle has had to deal with Kim's bullshit for years. Kathy has been able to distance herself because of her own embarrassing family, and its easy for her to pretend that a drug/alcohol abuse issue isn't a big deal because she has the money to cover it up. As for Lisa going for Kim, I don't condone violence which is why I would never do a reality show. But, I think I would have hard time controlling my physical reaction to some bitch trying to trash my husband when all I was doing was trying to explain my side. Congratulations Kim, you just made me side with Kyle - a woman I have disliked since the first episode of the first season. I hated Kyle for outing Kim, but now - I think that bitch needs to be outed every day. She can't see that people are being empathetic and trying to relate to her when that is all she seems to want? I want this bitch off my screen. And that is something I have never said about her.
  10. OMG! So, Kathy is a Real Sister? Why, because she goes along with your pretense at sobriety? Oh, because she isn't on camera with you enough to have to deal with your embarrassing antics? Oh, Kim any and all sympathy I ever had (and it has been hanging on by a thread these past few episodes) is completely gone. You deserve every BIT of shit that is going to come your way. Not because you are an addict, but because you are a mean, spiteful, and evil bitch.
  11. Was it playful in the way that Brandi playfully threw wine on Eileen? I totally expect a soap opera moment from the slap, but I am curious about what led up to it and how it turned into a slap. Like I wonder if she is playing out a script that she hasn't quite filled Lisa in on, like she did with Eileen.
  12. I also seem to remember that even though Harry originally said that he would divorce Lisa if she did the show, he was the one that came back and said he thought that she should do it. I can't remember where I read that, but I remember that as part of the "Will she or won't she join the show?" "Holy crap! She DID join the show" media blitz.
  13. I have noticed something in watching these episodes that really speaks to how well and truly fucked up the Richards Sisters are. Kyle is being blamed for what are ultimately Kim's choices by both Kim and Brandi. And, the really truly awful thing here is that as Kyle's older sister, Kim doesn't see how ridiculous it is to make Kyle responsible for supporting her. I am the oldest of three girls and I would never expect my younger sisters to be responsible for cleaning up my messes or hiding my secrets. It goes against everything in me as a big sister. And yet both Kyle and Kim see nothing amiss with this dynamic. Kyle is tasked with keeping Kim's addiction issues a secret and pretending that everything is fine. Kyle is tasked with standing up to the people that Kim is angry with or she will be accused of not being a good sister. Kyle is tasked with worrying about whether or not her older sister is going to overdose or be killed by her own pit bull or being there to take calls from what I can only assume is a hammered Kim at 2am. When does Kim give the support that she demands wholeheartedly from Kyle? I would just once like to see Kim take the Big Sister role to heart and actually be there for Kyle in any of the ways that she expects Kyle's unwavering support. I don't even like Kyle and even I can admit that she is just getting a totally raw deal in the big sister department.
  14. I don't know that she kicked Lisa. But she was kicking out in what appeared to be a random direction. It happens sometime around the part she calls Lisa disgusting or says she's a slut whatever it was she was saying. They recently showed it as a flashback for either this episode or the one before. You see Kim kick out, but she is the only one in the frame. She could have been kicking at the camera operator, it's just really hard to tell. It may have been extended footage that they used in the flashback, because I didn't catch it on the original airing.
  15. I think that the bold part of your statement is the producers' mindset. That's why they work so hard to stage such fake events and confrontations. But as a viewer, I watch for moments like we got in those first episodes. It took me back to earlier seasons of the prior Housewives Shows like OC and New York. The focus wasn't on group interactions as much as it was on seeing these women's lives. For me that was where the humor and fun of the shows came from.
  16. I'm sorry, I also have to ask if this post is facetious. Kyle was fine with Brandi until what happened at poker night. There was nothing, absolutely nothing to indicate that Kyle had an issue with Brandi and Kim being friends. If anything, it was like two war buddies dealing with a wounded friend in the limo ride. Kyle had her moment of talking about what it was like to have to hide Kim's issues and Brandi was talking about how difficult it had been dealing with the Kim's issues. Where does that constitute that Kyle wanted Kim to fail at sobriety? Kyle didn't break Kim's confidence, she broke Brandi's. Brandi swore Kyle to secrecy, only to bring the calls up on camera. If Brandi was just bringing up Kim's calls to illustrate a point, Kyle should at least be given the benefit of the doubt when trying to clarify what the hell Brandi was ranting about. Whether or not Brandi was reaching out to Kyle for help and whether or not Kyle said "that's just Kim" which I strongly doubt, we wouldn't know about those confidential calls if it weren't for Brandi. I HATE Kim and Brandi now because I am now defending Kyle.
  17. I don't think any of these women are asking Kim or Brandi to share their deepest darkest secrets. I think they are questioning their behavior based on their specific interactions with them. I also strongly doubt that Kim and Brandi are all they talk about. I think that Bravo focused on their discussions about the two of them because that is the story line they wanted to go with. With the hours upon hours of footage filmed, including the Bette Davis story of any other stories that Kim may have told along with any stories that Vince, Eileen, or Kyle may have told about the famous people they worked with, we get a smidge of a story about what was under Bette Davis' wig and Kim pretending that she didn't relapse. To me, that doesn't say that Kim and Brandi are all these women have to discuss. To me, this says that Bravo decided to revisit the "Is Kim sober" story line and Brandi was willing to play along. I will say that I don't think that Brandi is willingly outing Kim. I think Brandi has problems with impulse control. She can't deal with someone calling her on anything regardless of how willing she is to be inappropriate herself. So, the second she feels defensive she either attacks or deflects. But, I don't think that her issues with impulse control gives her an excuse. I just think that she is a reactive personality. In the end, this is going to end badly for Kim, Kyle, and Brandi.
  18. FINALLY had the chance to watch this episode. I loved the surprise party. I also figured out why LisaR and Eileen have talked to the others so much about Kim's issues before being willing to address Kim. They were basically asking permission from Kim's enablers to approach Kim with their concerns. Putting aside the BH howives history, these are two women who have watched what addiction does to family. They are also big proponents of therapy - they know how it works and believe in that process. So, they are basically feeling out the other women - who have all colluded to cover for Kim's addictions in the past (season 1, everyone pretended that there was no problem, and that was just Kim). They had to get the permission of the enablers before they could even really broach the subject of sobriety with Kim directly. I don't think that they are trying to save Kim. I think they are trying to save the others. They know that while what Kim has gone through is important in that it most likely encouraged her addictions, that Kim is always going to be going through something. And, what she is going through has to be second to her sobriety. They see her deflecting and I don't think that anyone who has witnessed addiction first hand can just be quiet and not say anything. They most likely know that they can't help Kim. But, I'll bet they both think that if they can get the others to see just how serious this situation is, the others will at least stop enabling her. That is really the only battle that they can win. Back to the party...I loved seeing a tipsy Lisa commanding Brandi to sing an apology song because it was her birthday. I loved seeing the other women be game to get up there and have a good time. And, I loved that Brandi only got pissed and felt isolated when she was no longer the center of attention. Brandi was having a great time until her song was done and she got a half hug for it. Then it was all about menopausal mamas - notice how she included her BFF in that description? But, you see Brandi and LisaR trying to leave with the centerpieces, and suddenly, Brandi is back to having fun. I have noticed that Brandi, Kim, and Kyle all have one very important thing in common. They really want it to be all about them. Kyle gets up from the table when Brandi starts to sing because suddenly that bitch has a stage. Kim is almost gleeful when Brandi and Kyle are fighting over some shit that she started. Kyle flat out says that her fight with Brandi at the Gay Mixer was about her. I can't tell if Brandi sought out Kim because she saw an easy on camera alliance or if Kyle and Kim actually need Brandi to keep the focus on them and their story line. One more thing, I loved Kim's story about Bette Davis. I wish I had heard the whole story. I wish Bravo would focus on that kind of stuff rather than this addiction story line. I deal with people with addiction enough just in my every day life. I want to see glimpses of the stuff I never see - like what is under Bette Davis' wig.
  19. We have no idea whether or not Kyle takes Kim's panicked calls. We know that Kim says that Kyle has always been there for her. We also know that Brandi is the only one saying Kyle isn't there for Kim. We also know from Kyle that Brandi is referencing a single phone call in which Brandi made her promise not to tell anyone about. And when it comes to that particular call, Kyle outright calls Brandi a liar when it comes to what Kyle's response was. The only person that is actively trying to make Kim choose between Brandi and Kyle is Brandi.
  20. Tamra did try to turn on Heather last season. She just knew she was in over her head and retreated so that she could leave Shannon as odd woman out. Remember she started out befriending Shannon by talking about Heather having a stick up her ass, and there was also that stuff about Heather featuring her gym on the show. I think the one smart thing that Tamra did was she took Vicki to heart when Vicki told her that if she went up against Heather she would lose. That's one thing about Tamra, she has street smarts for days.
  21. That's entirely possible, and I wouldn't put it past Kim to say that Kyle isn't there for her when she needs her. It's just all so jarring and out of nowhere. Brandi and Kyle were fine in the limo. Kim tells Kyle that she took a pill in the bathroom and then after that she tells Brandi that Kyle made her uncomfortable. Brandi tries to hustle Kim out after Kim throws some bait Kyle's way. How did the scenario go from Kyle being appreciative of Brandi being supportive of Kim (as she was in the limo) to Brandi claiming that Kyle is NEVER there for her sister? Obviously, Kim is playing both sides against the other so they can compete over her, but it doesn't explain Brandi's behavior. It seems to me that one person simply saying, "why don't you two talk when you have had a chance to calm down?" to Kyle and Kim would have calmed the situation down without Brandi even needing to be involved. I feel like Kim is playing a really sick game with the two of them as a way of deflecting from her own behavior and both Brandi and Kyle are taking the bait but going after each other rather than confronting Kim about it.
  22. This is what confuses me. Prior to Poker Night Kyle did not see any issue with Brandi being in Kim's life. Kyle was even being friendlier to Brandi. In the limo ride over, Kyle even seemed appreciative of Brandi being so understanding with the issues she and Kim were having. I don't think the issue is Brandi being involved in Kim's life. I think Kyle had accepted that and was making an effort to be inclusive where Brandi was concerned. I think her real issue is that Brandi is belittling her relationship and history with Kim under the guise of being Kim's BFF. Is there any reason that Brandi can't be Kim's friend while not trashing her relationship with Kyle? Let's remove Brandi's history of firebombing friendships and Kim's less than credible history due to her addictions. If Brandi is Kim's friend and support system through all of the non addiction related things that Kim has going on, why does she even need to bring up Kyle's involvement? Obviously, we can't ignore that Kim is actually an addict and by her own omission she used again which would mean she did indeed fall off the wagon. But, I think the same thing applies. Why does her friendship with Kim have to come at the expense of Kim's relationship with her sister? And make no mistake Brandi started lobbing grenades out of nowhere on this. Kyle and Brandi had no issue going into Poker Night. So, unless there is something else that happened between Kyle and Brandi that simply wasn't shown during Poker Night, this animosity from Brandi came completely out of nowhere. If there was nothing other than the events of Poker Night, why did Brandi take it upon herself to disparage Kyle as a sister in such an ugly and public way?
  23. I haven't seen the last episode, so I was asking if LisaR called Kyle. My recollection of the episodes I have seen was the same as yours, that she said Kim wasn't feeling well in a text. I wanted to know if there was actually a call.
  24. I still haven't seen the last episode. LisaR called Kyle and told her about the limo ride? Good for her! Even if this weren't happening on a TV show, I think that it is good that LisaR isn't pretending that everything fine and dandy. Especially, when you consider how long LisaR has known Kyle. It would make no sense for her to pretend that everything was fine when she saw first hand how Kim was behaving with a camera present.
  25. One thing that I learned from the podcasts was about Ronnie's obsession with Kyle's back fat is that he doesn't think that she is fat, at all. He thinks she is tiny but is dressing like a woman who is even smaller and it drives him crazy. So, he keeps pointing out the back fat because her bras don't fit. He has said many times on the podcasts that he hates the way Kyle dresses herself as though she were a smaller size than she is, when she is already tiny. I didn't like the Jill Zarin podcast because I thought all of the guys were so starstruck that they just took everything she said at face value with no backup questions. It felt like they were fawning over her because she was Jill Zarin. The Lea Black podcast was funny and confusing because I have never watched Miami and didn't have a reference for most of the things they discussed. I can't read Stoopid Housewives. The nicknames for the various members of the HW casts are so obscure that it becomes really grating just trying to read a single paragraph. The woman that runs Stoopid Housewives was actually on one of their podcasts and I found her to be so boring. She was completely out of her element and drug the tone of the show down. You are totally right about "Names" joining these shows. I didn't think the Richards were that big of a "get" and was surprised when they were placed at a higher level than Camille. The only reason I was surprised was because I was shocked that Kelsey would actually appear on the show. Kelsey was an actual name, so I thought of Camille as being higher up in the food chain simply because of who she was married to. I always thought that Camille's biggest mistake was that she didn't play a likable villain to the fans. As a villain she was perfect. She had the name courtesy of her husband. She also had the advantage of using the anchor's husband as a Realtor, so she could actually manipulate things in a way that hadn't been seen on a reality show before. Talk about rookie mistakes! She played it all wrong. Too bad Lisa V wasn't giving lessons at the time, the two of them could have been unstoppable in a totally Dynasty way. ETA: I have to say that I will always have a fondness for Camille. She could have been the perfect villain on a reality show. She could have been the woman that I hated while loving in that "root for the villain" way. She could have been like the Madeline Stowe character on Revenge. But, my fondness for her is solely because she trademarked the phrase "The Morally Corrupt Faye Resnick". For that reason alone, she stands highest in my love of all things Housewives. There is a part of me that always believed that Camille was the first real attempt to bring that Dynasty feel to the Real Housewives but none of the producers were prepared for the hatred she would receive.
