Season 6 Spoilers, Previews, Gossip, Etc.
MatildaMoody replied to quinn's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
My mind immediately went to Yolanda as well. She seems to have been priming her children for the reality show spotlight since her first season. And she has already done a very good job of using reality show fame to their advantage when it came to launching them as models. I heard a rumor that even Anwar has started a modelling career, so she seems the best candidate for something like the blind item. -
S10.E21: Reunion Part 2
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
I hate to speak ill of the dead, especially because we only saw so little of her, but I would say the bold part could just as easily apply to Vicki's relationship with her own mother. The way Vicki was practically begging her mother to tell her she loved her and her mother not wanting to do it, the way her mother seemed to really enjoy watching Vicki worked up over the "yellow hair" comment, the insane story about the motorcycle incident and the way Vicki used it as a sweet anecdote about her now departed mom, points to generations of dysfunction. I see Brianna as being exactly like Vicki, and the more she tries to prove how much she isn't, the more she shows she is. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the same were true of Vicki and her own mother. -

I wasn't implying that the other HW's beat her down. She just seems either heavily medicated or really beaten down by life in general - losing her mom, fighting with Brianna, fighting with the other women on the show, fan feedback, Brooks dumping her - I could see all of that taking it's toll and it coming to a head at the reunion and her just really checking out. Of course, I could also see her being heavily medicated. So, like I said, 50/50. -

Vicki says she wasn't medicated. I think it's 50/50 at this point. It's just as likely that she is so beaten down and depressed that she really couldn't conjure up any fucks to give. It's like the fight has just gone out of her. -
Shannon Beador: Magic Crystals and Nine Lemons
MatildaMoody replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
As far as I know it was just the one statement. Which I assume they would feel they would have to after such a public display from Shannon. When I say public display, I am not talking about what happened at the game. i am talking about the tweeting and instagram posts and interview Shannon gave. They never even confirmed or denied the affair when mainstream media started picking it up, so I do think they planned to simply handle this privately - which is what most non Reality TV people would do. But, I think Shannon kind of forced their hand and that is why they issued the statement. Haven't seen any other interviews or anything else from them about it.- 2.7k replies

S10.E21: Reunion Part 2

I considered that as well, and would not be the least bit surprised if it were true. Heather and Tamra were both so prepared to be outraged. They really are terrible actors. -
S10.E21: Reunion Part 2
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
One more thing that bugged me about Heather and her accusing Vicki of being a bad friend to Tamra. If she was so offended that Vicki would mention Tamra's custody issue, why bring it up at the reunion when she knew it didn't make it to air? Heather is responsible for any embarrassment Sydney faced the next day at school, because of what SHE said on the reunion, the whole viewing audience got to see a video clip that they had never seen before. So, if Sydney went to school and found her lockers decorated with dildos or pictures of penises, that was Heather's doing. So, between Heather and Vicki, Heather is the one that just made Tamra's custody issues that much worse. But, once again she is so caught up in her smug always right attitude that she can't read the room in real time. -

MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
I am fine with agreeing to disagree. Because, while Heather may have said you don't talk about another's marriage or children on camera, she totally got down with the gossip from Tamra about the Beador's marriage on camera. Sure, they later sugar coated it as "Tamra was concerned that Heather wasn't giving Shannon a fair chance" which was stupid since according to the show, Heather introduced Shannon to Vicki and Tamra. But, I think that Heather knew the second that Vicki told Tamra she would lose if she went against Heather, that she had nothing to worry about from Vicki turning on her. Even now, when Heather is all, "I'm done with Vicki" it is really only about what Vicki said about no one being there for her after her mom died and Brooks dumped her on WHHL. And, let's be honest, that is the very least of the things that Vicki has said about ANY woman who has been on this show over the past 10 seasons. -

MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
Heather laughed too when Vicki said it. She just did a quick "don't say that" with laughter in her voice. How right Heather got it really depends on whether or not Heather is a phony. If she is a phony, who plays to what people are saying right then, but later decides that her PERCEPTION was off, then yes she got it completely right. If she is an actual friend to Tamra, she would have done exactly what she has done in the past and taken Tamra aside and said exactly what Vicki actually said to her (probably rephrased in her own words because PERCEPTION) and asked her if she was sure it was worth losing her children to behave this way on camera. What Heather accused Vicki of saying: "No wonder they’re taking her kids away" What Vicki actually said: "I don’t think her kids are going to like this. She pretty much lost custody of one, she doesn’t want to lose two more!" What Vicki actually stated was fact. We know that her kids won't like it and Tamra has lost custody of Sydney and doesn't want to lose custody of any more of her children. Heather's laughingly "don't say that" tells me that she was just fine with what Vicki said at the time of filming. Her PERCEPTION simply changed when it came time to pick sides at the reunion. -
S10.E21: Reunion Part 2
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
Personally, I think it was Heather's PERCEPTION of what Vicki said that got Heather upset. Because what Vicki actually said and what Heather claimed she said were two different things. And you know how Heather has issues with PERCEPTION. -
S10.E21: Reunion Part 2
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
Brianna creeps me out. I think it is just that she is so much like Vicki, that it is weird and off putting to me. I remember the first time I saw it. It was in Alexis's first season. Tamra had convinced a dumb ass Alexis that everyone would get along if it weren't for Vicki (it was on that girl's trip Vicki planned that the men ended up crashing). Brianna had met the women for lunch and at one point, Vicki got so upset that she left the table. Brianna yelled at them about how she "WORKS as a nurse" and had no time for this ridiculous drama. That was when I knew. All of that bull shit about Brianna being the voice of reason was really just careful editing. And over the years it has come out more and more. For years, Brianna said that Donn was just the guy who married her mom. Then, the divorce and suddenly she was very close to him (revisionist history? Check). She calls Vicki out for cheating on Donn with Brooks, but gets seriously pissed when Vicki points out that Ryan was still married when they started their relationship (actually that whole conversation was pure hypocritical deflection and history rewriting gold). Ryan freaks out on Lydia's mom and not only does Brianna drunkenly yell at everyone and back him up at the party, she refuses to allow him to be discussed on that reunion (does that sound like Vicki's many defenses of Brooks over the past few seasons? I say yes). Brianna says that she doesn't feel like Vicki's priority. Vicki flew to Oklahoma 14 times over the span of a year to visit Brianna and her kids. She took Brianna out of the country when the backlash against Ryan hit. She has taken Brianna and her kids on family vacations. To me, that sounds an awful lot like Vicki going on WWHL and saying that none of the women were there for her after her mom died and Brooks dumped her. There are so many instances where Brianna is just Vicki and it really freaks me out. I mean look at the way she is holding this grudge against Brooks. Brooks has been in her mom's life off and on for about 4 years. In that time, Brianna has spent next to no time with him. So, she keeps bringing back the exact same arguments about why she doesn't like him from the first season he was on. Which is totally what Vicki does to EVERYONE. How many seasons have we seen Vicki start out wondering if her friendship with Tamra can ever be saved because of how much Tamra hurt her? How many times has Vicki brought up past things (admittedly, they were pretty awful things) that Slade said as a way to keep Gretchen on the outs. I feel like I could write a novel about just how much Brianna is like her mother, and therefore just as trustworthy as her mother. But, I will just end by saying Brianna freaks me the fuck out. And the fact that she claims she hasn't been able to make any friends in OK, while cozying up to her mother's friends as though they were her own, does not do her any favors IMO. -
S10.E21: Reunion Part 2
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
So, here is why I just can't with Heather. Compare what she accused Vicki of saying to what Vicki actually said. Heather accuses Vicki of saying "No wonder they’re taking her kids away." As Tamra is dancing around with a strap on, dog collar, and see through jump suit. But, what Vicki actually said was "I don’t think her kids are going to like this. She pretty much lost custody of one, she doesn’t want to lose two more." There is nothing in that statement that made Vicki out of line or a bad friend. She was stating the obvious to Heather. If it were anyone but Tamra, Heather would have taken that comment and pulled Tamra aside and explained to her in her "mom voice" that maybe she needs to tone it down for the sake of her kids. But, since it's Tamra, suddenly Vicki is a bad friend and Tamra is an "exemplary mother" WTF Heather! Sit your ass down. -
Tamra Judge: Naked Wasted
MatildaMoody replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
Yes, and it is awful. Tamra's defenders are actually attacking her daughter on Social Media for daring to call out her mother. You should have seen some of the posts that mostly have now been deleted aimed at a 17 year old who just wanted to get her side of the story out there. -
S10.E20: Reunion Part 1
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
I don't think Vicki has never been in the hot seat, with the exception of last season, I would say she occupied the hot seat more than any other cast member (and that just may be because of her status as longest housewife standing). Even if there was a set target like Alexis or Gretchen, Vicki still got flack for her behavior, choices, and treatment of the cast. It was just easier for her brush it off because she always had at least one person on her side. Once Brooks was introduced, Vicki got flack from not just her cast mates but also Briana - at every reunion. Even though last season was a really good one for Vicki, they still brought Briana on to lambaste her over Brooks. I just see it as a given that at some point during each reunion, Vicki gets a lot of heat. This season's reunion is more intensely anti-Vicki because all of the shit the other HW's pulled is being glossed over in favor of making it all about how awful Vicki is and for once, she doesn't have a single ally backing her up. I do agree that Tamra is the only one who has never been in the hot seat. I think that is more Andy's doing though because there was a LOT of fan backlash against Tamra last season and somehow that all got directed towards Shannon/Heather/David/Terry and Brianna versus Vicki and Brooks. -
S10.E20: Reunion Part 1
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
That is entirely feasible. I just feel like the Dubrows (like all of the HW's) tend to make small situations and even misunderstandings into huge things only to backtrack later and say it wasn't a big deal or come up with a convenient target for why they made it a big deal in the first place ot my personal favorite that it was their perception of the event. Like David's comments when Heather was riding the bull last year. First it was "who speaks to a married woman that way?" Then, it was "well, Eddie is our friend so when he apologized we forgave him." Then, they blindside Shannon with how angry Terry is with David about the comments months after the fact, while on vacation in another country. Then, Terry was calling David a construction guy who is actually a "penis." Then, in the blogs, Heather was back to saying it really wasn't that big of a deal and got blown out of proportion because of fan backlash. Now, here they have this very convenient way to paint Vicki as the person who put them on this path of disliking David. Even though at any time prior to the end of last season, Terry and Heather could have spoken directly to Shannon and David about the events at the rodeo and why they were bothered by them. Vicki's gossip would have had nothing whatsoever to do with anything if they had done that. But, much like Tamra, they waited to see which way the wind would blow with Shannon and David and held on to that bit of gossip and even gave it a little play at the reunion. If they bring Vicki back next season and give her a redemption, Tamra is going to come running back (most likely using the "I forgive you because I am a Christian excuse), Heather and Terry will fall in line. Suddenly, the "David flirts" and the "bra strap story" will be painted with Heather's perception excuse. "Well, from the information that Vicki relayed to us about the bra strap story, our PERCEPTION was that Vicki felt you hit on her. That colored the rest our interactions with you, because Vicki was our friend at the time, and we had already PERCEIVED that there was animosity between us, so we believed our friend." Just like it was Heather's PERCEPTION that Shannon was yelling at her during chair gate and it was Terry and Heather's PERCEPTION that David's apology for the cat calls wasn't sincere, and it was their PERCEPTION that maybe Shannon needed an ambulance at Lizzie's dinner party. I just don't trust the Dubrows, their motives, or especially their PERCEPTIONS. LOL -

MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
I remember this from last year as well. I am kind of wondering if Heather and Terry exaggerated what Vicki told them as Shannon seemed more upset with Tamra about calling David a flirt, than she did about Vicki telling that bra strap story. I'm wondering if Terry and Heather were so upset about how they came across last year that they used that story to paint Vicki as the reason Terry was such a douche to David last season. I'm not saying that Vicki's hands are clean, but I just don't trust the Dubrows when it comes to Terry trying to keep Heather in good standing on the show. -

OG is a 30 year old hip hop term that stands for Original Gangster. You still hear it used frequently in hip hop lyrics and there was even a movie by the same title some time in the late 80's early 90's. -

S10.E20: Reunion Part 1
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
My vote is Terry. One of the few things that Heather has said that truly resonated with me is when she talked about why she did the show in the first place. I don't care for Heather, but I do believe her when she says that she never wanted to do the show but that Terry gave her the guilt trip treatment until she agreed to join. I honestly think that as much as Heather prides herself on being an actress, Terry is the true famewhore in that family. I think that Heather accepted that she would never set the world on fire as an actor and was fine with being a stay at home mom with nannies, and a huge house, and rich people problems. I just believe that Terry wanted more. His brother found fame, why shouldn't he? So in my mind, it makes sense that Terry, wanting his wife to succeed on the show would encourage her to befriend both Tamra and Vicki. And, I think that he would encourage her to keep Tamra as a friend and not an enemy. Terry is much more of a reality show veteran than Heather is, so for me, it would make sense that he would know who Heather should keep as TV friends versus who she should drop. -

While I didn't think the ski slope was contrived, and when I say that I mean, I don't think that Vicki contrived it. The producers wanted to make sure they got the shot of the women doing snow angels, so yeah. But, Vicki has years of comic gold left in her. Should we forget the bragging about the fur coat or the pissing on Tamra's bed in Mexico? What about Gretchen coming to Vicki for business advice and asking about whether or not Slade works (all the while buying her boyfriend new teeth)? Or even this season - which granted has been ridiculous in how unfunny it was - when she bypassed Mehgan's party to hang out with Shannon, or when she gave the talking head about how Tamra should act like a grandmother while acting like a drunk with her boobs hanging out in the same episode. Even since the introduction of Brooks, Vicki has never actually changed. She is still the narcissistic ego maniac that doesn't see that she is the cringe inducing embarrassing one. And, when it has come back to her on the reunions (not this year, I think she has completely checked out this year), she has brushed right past it and continued just being Vicki. As for Tamra. Yes, if it comes down to a battle between Tamra getting fired and Tamra getting her comeuppance, I would vote comeuppance, but would be just as fine with her getting fired. But with Vicki, she is the delusional gift that keeps on giving. Say what you will about Vicki, but she HONESTLY believes she is a good person and can't figure out why no one believes her. Tamra knows she is not a good person but keeps trying to convince us that she is and then she gets pissed when we see through her, and goes for yet another redemption arc. -
S10.E20: Reunion Part 1
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
I'm only quoting this part for length Scoobie A friend of mine, who runs a snarky recap site, actually met Scott Dunlop as well as Gretchen and Slade at a party. I know, that sounds like a set up for a joke, but it is the truth (it was at Scott's house and I believe a housewife from a lesser watched show like Miami actually invited him). What my friend told me was that Scott conceived this show as a comedy. It was only ever supposed to be a funny opposite to shows like "The OC" and "Desperate Housewives." Here we were seeing actual housewives in Orange County and making fun of just how out of touch they were. And the first couple of seasons definitely gave us that. It was Andy Cohen who saw an opportunity to turn the show into a "real life soap opera" and ran with it. That last part is not verbatim to what my friend told me. But he did say that once the network saw the draw in actual real drama, they immediately started looking at ways to amp it up. So yes, the show was supposed to focus on women inside the gates, but it was also supposed to provide humor about that exact same portrayal. -
S10.E20: Reunion Part 1
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
For me, and this is just my opinion, what Vicki brings is the comedy. And it is funny simply because it is unintentional. Think about the football to the face, the family van, the "I got the stripper off the pole", the asking for a "cab" for wine in Italy, or her just showing up at her son's college and doing keg stands. Vicki is unintentionally the funniest housewife ever - her delusion is her super power. Vicki filming her "work" functions have been completely unintentionally funny. I mean, didn't she actually buy the award and then ended up falling when she went to accept it? Tamra drops funny lines from time to time, but Vicki's funny is never planned. You just can't buy that kind of comedy. Just her contradictions in behavior versus what she says people should do is funny. Granted, this has not been a fun year when it comes to Vicki, but it doesn't change her shrieking about never having sex with multiple partners on a ski slope while the other HW's do snow angels in the background. Vicki is comedy gold without ever realizing it, and she always takes it in stride when it comes back to her at reunion time. Tamra makes a fascinating case study for me, but I could do with out her manipulated story lines. The only reason I would want her to come back would be so that she could finally get her comeuppance. If that isn't in the cards, then yeah, I would never want Tamra to come back. In fact, I would only want to see Tamra come back if she FINALLY had to answer for all of ridiculous shit stirring she has done over the years. Hence my hope for a Shannon/Heather team up to take her down. I would also love to see them get rid of Mehgan. She simply isn't interesting, just annoying. I would also love if Bravo brought on women with actual wealth outside of the show. I think that is what they tried to do with Heather and Shannon. I think the producers just made the mistake of pitting Shannon and Heather against each other rather than having them team up. But having Vicki in her delusions and Tamra in her evilness have to deal with a cast full of women who not only have more wealth, but also more social standing would be absolutely hysterical. It would be nice to see the show get back to its comic roots. -
S10.E20: Reunion Part 1
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
LOL! I know. Tamra, for all of her manipulations and machinations, is still too much of a narcissist to admit she is wrong. It's part of why she is so fascinating as sociopath who is being rewarded for her behavior. She had the perfect opportunity to take the high ground, and instead she decided that her new Christianity offered her a band aid so that she could continue the same behavior. Because in her mind, who is Alexis to be offended by Tamra's treatment of her? The upshot of all of this is that Shannon and Heather are now friends. Not that I like or even care a fig about Heather. But, now that they are friends, I am hopeful that my dream (I have posted about this since Shannon joined the show) of Heather and Shannon teaming up to take Tamra down may actually happen. Tamra is going to have work double time to keep track of what she is telling each of them about the other. If there is an 11th season, I am hopeful that Heather and Shannon will see that Tamra is the DEVIL and finally trap her in all of her lies. I'm not certain that will actually happen. Heather has been very careful to stay clear of Tamra's bad side (the one exception being when she told Eddie about Tamra being all upset about not giving him a baby, because Heather overheard Tamra badmouthing her to Shannon). I honestly think that it was Terry that convinced Heather that Tamra was the friend she needed to always keep. But, if Heather has an actual ally in Shannon, maybe she won't worry so much about staying on Tamra's good side. This would be especially true if the women have in fact alienated Vicki to the point that she doesn't get offered a contract next year. However, if Vicki does get offered another contract (and let's be honest Andy will fight to keep Vicki as a punching bag for the other women for the sake of drama or for the sake of giving her one more season after her mom died to redeem herself) Tamra will be a bitch to Vicki until Shannon and Heather start comparing notes on Tamra. Once that happens, Tamra will come running back to Vicki and make it an "us against the world" situation the same way she has always done. So, my fingers are crossed and I am hopeful that Tamra will FINALLY get her comeuppance in the form of a Heather/Shannon duo. As for Vicki, I know that many people don't like her. But, I liken her to Ramona on NYC or Kyle in BH, the show just wouldn't be the show without her. Where else are they going to find someone so delusional and narcissistic and without self awareness? The funniest moments on the show for me come from Vicki's delusions. Tamra can talk all she wants about how the show needs her for drama. The show needs Vicki for her complete obliviousness to how she actually comes across and the humor that brings. Vicki not only invited the snark that made this show fun, she WAS the snark that made this show fun. Without her ridiculousness, we would just have Tamra trying to stir shit where there was none (or at least nothing interesting) and Heather being condescending/mothering to Mehgan, while Shannon acts kooky without a sidekick while exploiting her kids on TV as she plays the martyr. -
S10.E20: Reunion Part 1
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
I think I can sum this season up as "Tamra got revenge on Vicki for last season." Remember last year's reunion? Vicki said something about how she had a great year and the look on Tamra's face was that of someone who wanted to kill. Vicki backed out of the plan to turn on Heather (even told Tamra point blank that she would lose if she went against Heather) and then she had the nerve to befriend Shannon, who was Tamra's next target. A sociopath like Tamra is not going to let that go because she saw it as a personal attack on her and the methods she had always used since joining the show. I believe that is why Eddie did his cough bullshit cough in that first episode when Vicki said something about Brooks and his cancer treatments. I also believe that is why she fed the psychic the question about Brooks when he wasn't even there - remember Tamra has laughed and dismissed psychics as being full of it, but this one was somehow her spiritual adviser? Tamra used Mehgan as her mouthpiece for "justice" and then systematically worked on Shannon to get her questioning Vicki. Meanwhile, she was continuing to pretend to be Vicki's friend all the way up to the filming of the reunion. She was basically biding her time until Shannon turned completely on Vicki so that she could drop Vicki completely. All the while, she is trying to convince the audience that she has changed and is now a Christian who has been reborn after her baptism. Oh Tamra, I see who you are (TM Lydia). Tamra is my least favorite housewife with Heather a close second, but she fascinates me because how often do you get to see a sociopath navigate and manipulate her way through relationships on television?
