S06.E10: Backwards In Heels

I don't know about K, but right now B is the only source of this info. The only person who has gone on record to say ANYTHING about Maurico's new Agency not being on the up and up is B. K could have said something to B about it or even implied it, but K has never said it in a public forum. All of the stories about Mauricio having somehow screwed over Rick Hilton have been from publications that always go back to B's tweets as the source. I don't consider ANY of the women on ANY of these shows to be a baddie/villain. I think that some are more dangerous than others simply because of the platform they have; but, I don't think any of the women are intentionally trying to hurt anyone. -

I'm kind of on the fence about Ericka. I like that she owns who she is, but I still haven't gotten a sense of how she interacts with the other women. Most of her snappy comebacks seem to be in talking heads rather than during the actual conversation. That may just be an editing thing, but she doesn't really seem to engage with the women in the moment so much as she kind of smiles and shrugs them off. Which as a coping tactic is fine, but it doesn't give us any real sense of who she actually is when she is with them. I didn't like that she asked about Brandi and then gave a judgmental talking head to the women's honest response of "Brandi is awful." If she doesn't know Brandi and has never watched the show, she has no leg to stand on. If she has watched the show and saw how Brandi behaved, again, she has no leg to stand on. But, I do like that she brings the actual house porn and the private planes. While I don't care for what Yolanda is doing with the misinformation she is spreading about Lyme Disease, I do like that Ericka is loyal to Yolanda. I just wish she would be more honest and clear about the information she is taking back to Yolanda about what the other women are saying. So, I just keep going back and forth on her. I probably won't have a clear opinion of her until her second season. -

But the allegation is only out there because it was made by Brandi. No one else. Just Brandi. Brandi, who by the way, has absolutely no first hand knowledge of the ins and outs of how this all happened, or even of how the industry works in general. If Rick Hilton had made an allegation like that, I could see it being more than speculation or an assumption that people are making. But Rick Hilton has not ever publicly made an allegation like this. Neither has Kathy. At least not that i am aware of. -

I am confused about where this speculation that Mauricio did something shady or underhanded in starting his own agency even comes from. The only person who has gone on record of accusing Mauricio of stealing clients or agents is Brandi. No one else has come out to say anything like that that I am aware of. So, I guess I would like to know where this idea started. Because if it is basedon something that Brandi said, we have consider the source. From reading all of the recaps of Brandi's last podcast, I am starting to think that Brandi is Radar Online's "source" for a lot of the RHBH stories. Radar reported that Kyle wasn't at Monty's funeral, Kyle completely refuted that. But, on Brandi's podcast Brandi says that she was at Monty's memorial and she never saw Kyle. So, I am wondering if this whole thing about Maricio doing Rick wrong is another Brandi plant. She is the only one who has ever gone on record saying anything remotely like that, so it would make sense if she was the source of that as well as the lie about the Umansky's not being at Monty's funeral. -

It's a joke. Ronnie has an amazing sense of humor IMO. But, then I am biased because he is a friend of mine. -

You know, I have no shade for LisaR's hair. I think that if you find a style that works for you and you know exactly how it is going to look on you and the different ways you can change it up and still have it work, you should be jumping for joy. It just seems like one less thing to have to worry about to me. And the fact is that Lisa's hairstyle is as much of a calling card as her lips are. I mean doesn't Rachel Welch have a Lisa Rinna do in her wig line? I say keep hustling that 'do. It works for her and is instantly recognizable. -
Lisa didn't say anything about Mo. She said he told her that Yolanda had Lyme Disease and the kids are fine. There is nothing chickenshit about declining to look at the personal medical records of children that aren't hers, IMO. In fact I think it shows a sense of propriety that is extremely rare for reality show participants. No one has demanded that Yolanda prove anything - with the possible exception of certain members of the audience. Yolanda is grandstanding for the benefit of her own story line. I'll wait to see how it plays out, but right now, I think it is smart of Lisa not to indulge Yolanda's nonsense. If she is too sick to show up and do her job, she shouldn't rely on the other HW's to push her claims to the forefront as she bombards the audience with her "journey of suffering" while her children "suffer in silence" for the sake of supporting her. Even her blog is insufferable. She starts out rhapsodizing about how Gigi and Bella as extensions of her are walking the runways in Europe. She can't even just brag about how well her children are doing without making it about her. I really wish that the other women had just not ever talked about Yolanda unless she was there to be filmed. Yolanda would have lost her freaking mind realizing that she was about as relevant to them as Brandi is. She would never have stood for it and would have started showing up to events just so that she could be a topic of conversation. I wonder if she would have started showing up in stained clothes on top of not wearing makeup, just to get on their radar as a topic of conversation so that Ericka could report back to her about what was said. As it is, BRAVO is having to work double time to keep Yolanda relevant with the other women. Imagine if the other women hadn't even given BRAVO the few snippets of conversation that they have had to cobble together to force this as a real story line for her. She may have actually been demoted to friend of if the others hadn't taken the bait. ETA: Bitch eating crackers, indeed.

Kyle Richards: Pantene Poster Girl
MatildaMoody replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I think he picked that one because she is sitting at his desk. -
I'm actually not surprised at how gullible she is. Her haughty personality doesn't allow her to admit that she is wrong or doesn't know or understand something. So, she doesn't believe that anyone could ever pull the wool over her eyes because she is too smart for it. That belief alone sets her up as an easy mark.

S06.E08: Going Deep
MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
This whole thing reminds me of Taylor being uninvited to the White Party. Wasn't the scuttlebutt that Kyle tried to contact Taylor before she and Russel showed up at the party but that the producers decided not to warn Taylor ahead of time? I seem to recall at least a couple of the women saying that when they couldn't get in touch with Taylor, they got in touch with the producer working with her and production thought it would work better if Taylor showed up so that they could get a "reaction" from everyone. Producer shenanigans run the gamut on these types of shows. I remember in one of the early seasons of Mob Wives, the women called the producer onto the stage during the reunion to verify that one of the women had been told NOT to reach out to their cast mate until filming started. And another woman was told not to explain to her friend how serious their mutual friend's cosmetic surgery had been, so that woman looked like an idiot for sending a her a card telling her how she couldn't wait to see how her new ass looked. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Production told Cedric that Lisa knew he was coming but Lisa didn't actually know, hence the "she isn't happy with it." so that Cedric at least knew he wouldn't get a warm reception but that would be the only warning they provide. -
Kyle Richards: Pantene Poster Girl
MatildaMoody replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
"No Assholes" is the basic tenant of The Agency. It was the premise upon Mo starting his own agency - you can't work for the Agency if you are an asshole. Every decision the employees make needs to be guided by whether or not the decision makes them an asshole. So, it would make sense that it would be visibly posted around the office. He most likely should not have posted a picture of Portia in front of the sign without cropping the sign out, but I think the phrase is so ingrained in the company culture that he most likely didn't think about it. I can't get really be bothered by it because it is no different than posting a picture of her in front of one of those "Inspiration" posters that were so popular a few years ago. At least that's how I see it, mileage always varies.- 3.6k replies

I would take it a step further and say that not only do all want to know everyone's business, many times they may actually WANT the others to know their business are glad for the chance to discuss themselves. The wedding stuff and Lisa asking Kyle about it, seemed premeditated by Kyle to have it out on the show even if she claimed to be uncomfortable with the discussion later. The same seems to be true of many of the discussions that Kyle has had with Lisa where it concerns Kim. And, yes editing is also a HUGE part of it. For all of the flack that Lisa is getting for the questions she asked Ericka, I see no actual animosity between the two of them. Just watching that hoverboard clip showed that Lisa and Ericka seemed to enjoy each other and could have fun together. Actually, I could see a friendship developing between the two of them if Ericka weren't so TeamYo because the two of them seem to have quite a bit in common. The questioning of the housewives on film has been used for exposition ever since the show began to focus on filming the housewives interacting with each other rather than just focusing on their individual lives. The problem is that now most of the cast on the show are pros. They know they need to interact and get to know their coworkers and the best way to do that is to ask questions. But, it's a doubled edge sword, because the person who is by all accounts "just doing their job" by asking the questions risks being made the villain for the episode or the season. And that could be true even if there was no actual drama between the two housewives after the interaction. For all of the posts about how Lisa was making digs with her questions about Ericka, I would be willing to bet that there are hours of footage of the two of them actually having fun. It sucks that there is footage of Lisa and Ericka holding hands and giggling as Ericka chides Lisa to take off her heels before getting on the hoverboard, yet all we got on the episode was Lisa acting as an investigative reporter and asking Ericka about her personal life. It just shows how much of the drama is manufactured in the editing process.

Lisa Vanderpump: Pink is her Favorite Color
MatildaMoody replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Ken said he wanted to open a pub and let Max Manage it. That means that the majority of the work would still be on Ken and Lisa to finance, build and launch a new restaurant. They already have two and just owing one restaurant is major amount of work. Having a 70 year old man open a new restaurant and all that entails, just so that Max can have a shot at being a manager seems like an awful waste of time and resources to me. Especially, if Lisa is at a point where she would like for the two of them to slow down and enjoy their later years. I don't think this has anything to do with denying Max an opportunity, and everything to do with the fact that both Lisa and Ken are getting on in years and may not have the stamina to open yet another restaurant. -

Personally, I don't think that LVP wanted a public apology. I think that she just wanted an apology that never came in the past few years. And as those years passed without an apology she got more and more tired of having to see Faye outside of filming. If Kyle is telling the truth, and Faye has been at all of her events, Lisa has had to do the "How are you darling Kiss Kiss" for a couple of years now to keep things civil. And now she has to do it in front of the cameras. I could see her still having feelings about Faye and having a producer ask her about it and then responding honestly. Faye is orange, by choice. So, maybe that is why I didn't see a racial element to Lisa's comparison of her to an orangutan (I am saying this as a black woman). I didn't even realize that it would be a racial thing until people took exception here, because I consider Trump to be an orangutan every time I see him in action. I honestly don't know if that says something horrible about me or about those who immediately assumed a racial motive (seriously, I am truly confused about that one). -

I disagree. I think that Brandi knew that she would see Scheana (I honestly have no idea how to spell her name) and that she would interact with her. If there is one thing that LisaV is, it is consistent. She would have prepped Brandi for every interaction and the two of them would have had a game plan for how the would play the scene. I think the real problem was that Brandi would get drunk and get emotional in the actual filming moment. Then, she would catch some feelings and decide to go off script. And when Lisa tried to point that out, Brandi assumed Lisa was trying to "mother" her and then (and I think a lot of that was Yolanda in Brandi's ear), think that Lisa was using her. And, yes, Lisa had her own agenda with Brandi and Schena, but I have no doubt that Lisa was also trying to school Brandi on how to navigate the Housewives and come out on the winning side. I think that Brandi was down with that until Yolanda got in her ear. People keep saying that Lisa turned a blind eye to Brandi's behavior, but re-watching the clips, I don't think that is true. I think that Lisa was trying to be careful in how she worked with Brandi onscreen. She seemed to do her best to not let it show that they were talking off camera about how they would comport themselves. But, Brandi would get drunk and decide that she wasn't going to play along with what they had decided. I think that is why we saw so many uncomfortable laughs from Lisa as she gently chastised Brandi with her "that's not nice" stuff. And when Lisa told Brandi that her drinking was hurting both of their images, Brandi sought the comfort of Yolanda. Yolanda did the one thing that Lisa never did. She bought Brandi something extravagantly expensive. Lisa, gave Brandi opportunities to improve her "brand" and Yolanda gave Brandi expensive shoes. Thinking back now, it makes perfect sense that Brandi would take Yolanda's side over Lisa's. It had nothing to do with Sceana, and everything to do with which Housewife would be more willing to give her stuff. ETA: My friend Ronnie is constantly saying how Lisa loves a broken ho. And I agree. Lisa loved Cedric until he turned on her. She hated Taylor but then befriended her when she saw how broken she was. She loved Brandi until she turned on her. Hell, she keeps going back to Kyle. Lisa loves her a broken ho like she loves a dog with alopecia or a swan with a bowel disorder. -

MatildaMoody replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Because I had completely blocked pretty much anything that had to do with Brandi and Sceana, I went back and watched a bunch of clips of the prior seasons to see these interactions. I could see if Brandi was upset about seeing Sceana if she felt Ken and Lisa were pulling away from her, but didn't Brandi accuse Lisa of "mothering" her? I thought that was the initial catalyst for Lisa backing off. Also, when watching these things like when Lisa told Brandi to congratulate Sceana on her engagement, I got the distinct impression that this was something Brandi and Lisa agreed to before hand and Brandi caught feelings in the moment. - which is perfectly fine, but Brandi was being given an opportunity to prove to the audience that all of her protestations of being over Eddie and his cheating ways was actually true. Rewatching a lot of those scenes from past seasons brought home how much Lisa tried to help Brandi craft a better image for herself as a housewife. Getting the modeling gig, hanging out with her off camera, getting her to show she had moved on by congratulating Sceana, all of those things to me said that Lisa was trying to help Brandi get better control of her image and Brandi was going along with it until she wasn't. I am also starting to see that Yolanda was grooming Brandi to be her own pitbull and go after Lisa. I want to say it started with the shoes she bought her in Paris. But it may have started earlier with the whole "Who is Adrienne Maloof in this world?" comment that kind of cemented Yolanda as being on Brandi's side. But, it was that dinner in Puerto Rico where we saw Kim and Yolanda pushing for a confrontation between Lisa, Brandi and Kyle, that it really started to click with me. Lisa seemed genuinely hurt and kept stressing to Brandi how much she loved her before she and Ken finally left. I think Lisa saw what was happening but couldn't articulate it on camera and could only kind of beg Brandi to remember that she loved her and had been a genuine friend to her. With all of that said, I am going to go back to pretending Brandi doesn't exist as I don't want her stench to emanate back onto this show. -

Can someone please tell me when this happened? I have no recollection of this at all. -
So, like most of you I have been more than a little disturbed by Yolanda's ever changing timelines, treatments, and diagnoses. For those of us who have just been following her "journey" very little of what she has been saying about her diagnosis, treatment, and subsequent diagnoses of her children makes any logical sense. But when you look at the timeline back to back based on what she has posted since her first season on the show, she sounds down right crazy. Luckily, TamraTattles has gone through and made a timeline (it isn't a complete one as the writer eventually stopped for the sake of her own sanity). This timeline shows how Yolanda went from believing she had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, to the Lyme diagnosis and on through Chronic Lyme. Seeing the excerpts of the posts back to back makes me think that Yolanda is more than disturbed there may actually be some pathology there.

When I first read this Buzzfeed article, I remember taking a lot of exception to it. Now, that I have re-read it, I take even more exception. IMO out of all of the former models on that list, the most successful was Cynthia Bailey. I recognized Kelly B. but had no idea who she was from her modeling days up until she joined NY. Cynthia was a staple in our household because, my mom (who was and still is way too into fashion) had subscriptions to Vogue, Mademoiselle, Elle, Essence, Ebony, and Cosmo. I immediately recognized Cynthia's name when she signed up for RHOA. More importantly, I instantly recognized her face. To me, Cynthia represents 90's fashion as a working model who was never given the title of Super Model. She wasn't a household name, but she was a household face and that makes her much more successful than the others because it means she worked consistently - before Social Media became a thing. All of this is to say that I think that Buzzfeed should have ranked these women on visibility PRIOR to their housewives contracts. If they had, they would know that Cynthia Bailey worked more and more consistently than anyone else on the list. Sorry for going OT, but I had to rant for a second. -
None of her friends or coworkers has questioned her suffering though. They questioned her diagnosis. They questioned her course of treatment as she seemed to be getting worse and not better. But no one has questioned her suffering or whether she is sick. That is a plot point that Yolanda is pushing, and BRAVO is really stretching to make, but it simply has not happened. Even drunk ass Taylor hasn't questioned Yolanda's illness. She only questioned the ridiculousness of posting selfies of herself with an IV in her arm.

I loved him seeing that fight through the window. I think anyone who walked into their garage to get a beer from the fridge and heard Brandi and Kyle shrieking at each other would have stopped and looked out the window to see what was going on. That moment struck me as totally realistic and hilarious and exactly the kind of thing someone who was not used to the housewives would do.
