🙋🏼‍♀️ Add me to the list. Three kids, 3 home cooked meals a day, (and I do not enjoy cooking), my house was clean and the laundry never got out of control. My husband’s job required a lot of travel so most weeks I was alone. How did I find the time? Gee, maybe because I wasn’t constantly glued to a phone “documenting” my life. These folks have babies because that’s what is expected of them, not because they are ready to be parents. It’s so sad.

Well, I guess there is another possible reason for Alyssa looking so miserable. I did not watch their latest YouTube video, but it is being discussed on Reddit and John is coming off as a complete dick. He said he would like more children but Alyssa gets so sick during pregnancy that she can’t look after the kids and the house without help. He also said Alyssa needs a new car and they could use a new couch upstairs but he is waiting until “the kids can learn to treat the new car and couch with respect and take care of them”. The couch I can understand to some extent, but the car is falling apart. He bought it when they got married ( almost 10 years ago), and it may have been used. I know kids are messy but the vehicle may be unsafe at this point. If he is really that annoyed just don’t let the kids eat or drink in the car. It seems the initial infatuation stage has worn off and he is showing his true colours. Alyssa may be realizing how much of a jerk he is, which could explain a lot of things. Funny because he always said he was happy with the kids they had and it was Alyssa who wanted more. There was a 180 after she had Rhett. This is pure speculation on my part but it appears that John is tightening up the purse strings so Alyssa may not be getting the little luxuries like Starbucks and trips to the nail salon. She always used to post about getting a drink or showing off her nails but I haven’t seen any of those posts lately.Could be she is just too busy, but her cheapskate husband refuses to hire someone to paint their house and prefers to wait until he can do it himself. They have to paint because the previous owners didn’t use approved paint colors and if their HOA is anything like mine they are looking at some hefty fines if they don’t take care of it.

Even if she is more of an introvert (and I think she is) the lure of free stuff is really hard to pass up, especially given their childhood circumstances. They all learned to grift at a young age. Looking at the picture that went with the post you can see how John is focused on Rhett. He went on about how he didn’t know how much he needed a son until he got one. I bet Alyssa is feeling ignored, certainly overwhelmed, and it would not surprise me at all if she does have PPD. It’s just really sad all around. You can also see how Zoey (the middle child) is not thrilled. I feel for the 3 oldest girls. Alyssa is preoccupied with Rhett and Maci and I’m sure they get even less attention. All of the Bates kids have lasting effects from their childhoods. It makes me so angry that Gil and KellyJo had normal childhood experiences and got educations then turned around and created this epic mess.

I saw it too. Wonder if some of her local “sweet friends” got fed up with always helping out and never getting any help in return. I don’t think there is any rift between Alyssa and her siblings- possibly something is going on with John’s family. Or maybe she is having a much harder time adjusting to 5 kids than she is letting on.

Wearing tight jeans all the time will do that. 😉

When I was little my father would always get the tree the Saturday before Christmas. When I was 12 he switched to an artificial tree and it went up a bit earlier. By the time he retired the tree was up by mid November, but he wanted to enjoy it because by that time they always travelled to one of our houses for Christmas and were usually gone for at least a week. I feel like this was a Canadian thing but we always got a real cut tree for outside too. Did the Bates have a tree when the kids were all home? I know for the longest time the Duggars did not. Maybe this whole super early decorating thing is just another example of how they were deprived as kids and are overcompensating now.

Wow. She looks over it. I’m sure going from four to five was hard, and not only is it possible that Rhett is not an easy baby, but Maci seems to be less independent than her sisters were at that age. She still has a pacifier and her sisters did not. But I bet the thing that bothers Alyssa the most is that she has not been able to get back into to her size XS clothes. As @BitterApple pointed out, she probably is overdoing the dieting and exercise which is adding to her exhaustion. Unfortunately after having 5 babies in 8 years she may never get back to her pre-baby figure. She looks fine to me but she may be the type who can’t stand going from an XS to a small.

I do wonder if Kelton encourages her to post these photos. “Look I am such a godly man that God gave me this hot wife”

I like Christmas as much as the next person but November 1 is too early to start decorating and baking. Don’t most people wait until Thanksgiving? When I lived in Canada we started a little bit earlier but usually not until after Remembrance Day(Veteran’s Day).

I wouldn’t wish gestational diabetes on anyone, but if she does in fact have it she is going to have to give up all of her beloved Starbucks drinks (including the Christmas ones) until the baby is born. I must admit I would be curious to see how that would play out.

I am no healthcare professional but boys do tend to be bigger. My sons were bigger than my daughter, my grandson was bigger than his sisters. Still, it’s no guarantee she is having a boy.

I suspect Dave and Jenny were there simply because their new season premieres next week. Cross promotion is a thing, especially on HGTV.

I got FJ. Good thing they did not ask about 3rd in line because I blanked on Charlotte and could only come up with “William’s daughter”.

Maybe they never finished the back because they knew they were going to add on.

I stopped watching a few seasons ago. Every episode was the same with the silly demo shenanigans from the crew. This is the problem with HGTV shows- they start off fine but as they get into multiple seasons they become very repetitive and overly reliant on playing up some silly aspect of the stars’ personalities. Even Home Town is overdoing it with Ben and Josh and Jim and their “boys trips” to find a piece of barn wood. The only ones who have seemed to escape it so far are Keith and Evan on Bargain Block but I imagine it will happen eventually.

So these tournaments are going on until December? And then I assume there will be the TOC? This is crazy. Although I always enjoy the TOC I am looking forward to regular games. I’m just glad the writer’s strike is over and all the champions will be competing.

I am assuming they are adult size. And Layla is a tiny 3 year old. I know I am old fashioned but I can’t stand fake nails and makeup for a child that young. Gives me Toddlers and Tiaras vibes. Carlin should have been a mom instead of a “best friend” and told Layla that some things are for grownups. There are plenty of toy makeup sets that are just plastic if she really wants to pretend.

Maybe she didn’t get the memo? 😂

Not to mention that Type 2 Diabetics who have a legitimate need for the drug are having a hard time finding it due to shortages. I doubt Kelly is using it. It is pricey even for people with good insurance.

He is also wearing cowboy boots and the bride appears to be in sneakers. Gotta eke out every spare inch I guess.

Josie seems to be a fan of cheap satin dresses that wrinkle and look like crap. She had another dress in the same material on her cruise and it looked just as bad. They are the white ankle booties of dresses.

Looking at some photos of the wedding on Reddit, and Erin does not look as put together as she did at past weddings. Her dress is fairly simple and she is wearing plastic slides that make her mother’s wedding shoes look designer by comparison. I have seen photos of her in compression socks so she may be having some issues due to her pregnancy, but I would think she would have at least had a dressy pair of flats. Makes you wonder how tight money is at the Paine household these days. I did not see any photos of Chad or the kids. Alyssa also seemed more underdressed than at past weddings. I am guessing she is having more trouble getting back to her pre-baby weight this time and she did not want to spend money on a dress that she hopes will be too loose soon.

Disney is so expensive. I just don’t understand how Carlin and Evan continue to spend like drunken sailors. Surely it is going to catch up to them at some point.
