What a sad looking party. The snacks were sad, the venue was sad, the regimented schedule of events was sad. The only splurge I could see was that Alyssa hired someone to do the balloon decor and the balloon animals for the kids. Carlin forgot the gifts for the girls 🙄 I don’t know if she forgot to pack them or buy them. But apparently Alyssa told her not to worry about it. I would have been out the door to pick up more gifts ASAP. I realize we only see what is posted on Instagram, but it looks like Carlin and Erin did not interact. I do wonder if Allie picked up on the tension. She seems like the kind of child who would notice such things. So Allie was Belle, Lexi was Cinderella, Maci was Rapunzel, and I have no idea who poor Zoey was supposed to be. Looked like a generic pouffy party dress to me. Poor kid probably took too long to decide so Alyssa just clicked on a random dress. If Alyssa hadn’t gone on about how she was planning a “special” party for all the girls I wouldn’t have given it a second thought. But this wasn’t any different from their previous parties except it was at a church hall/ meeting room. I feel so bad for those poor girls.

I am spending some time in Portland, just across the river from Vancouver, and of course Yogesh was on the local news just before the episode aired. 😐 Now that he has won I’m sure they will feature him tomorrow Troy is very tall but he was the same height seated as Ben and Yogesh standing so I was only slightly surprised. I do hope he is ok. He looked very tired.

I knew I was not going to be home so I spoiled myself. Not going to lie, if it had turned out differently I would not have bothered to watch later. The games are all exciting to watch. I would be happy to see either Ben or Troy win.

That was a good game, but…crap. Can someone please tell me the purpose of the Invitational Tournament? Does the winner get a spot in the Masters?

Lawson is branching out. His stories show a clip of him “singing” The Way You Look Tonight. He’s no Michael Bublé. He really needs to find another “career”.

I also doubt that Josie will take photos of Miles dressed like a mini Chippendales dancer. 🙄 Kudos to them for not ignoring the girls. Josie isn't stuck at home with the kids 24/7. I think that really helps her to appreciate the time she spends with them.

I’m not sure where they live in South Carolina, but care homes may be few and far between in their area, and there may be a waiting list. Also, they are expensive. It’s possible they can’t afford it. Bill’s dementia would keep him from being accepted into assisted care and Jane would not be able to move into a memory care facility with him, so staying on the farm keeps them together. To be fair bringing all 5 kids would create more chaos than Bill can handle, although Alyssa probably didn’t need an excuse to leave the girls at home. I guess great minds think alike. 😉 As I was typing this @Heathen posted to the same effect. I had a similar experience with my mother. Fortunately she was in Canada and care was more reasonably priced, but we did have to deal with waiting lists.

Tori does have the clotting disorder. The only one to escape it is Alyssa but she has the heart condition plus she gets really sick during pregnancy, to the point where she finds it difficult to function. I think she needed an IV when she was pregnant with Rhett because she was so dehydrated. They should all count their blessings and stop but of course that is not going to happen.🙄

I rarely go to the Counting On forum these days because, honestly, I have no interest in the Duggars any more, other than wanting to see the Supreme Court refuse to hear Josh’s case. But it is Sunday afternoon and I’m bored so I had a look. What the heck is going on? Red light? Threads locked? I am so confused…

John will no doubt expect Alyssa to provide him with a hearty lunch every day. Those trays of finger foods which she lovingly prepares for the girls each day won’t cut it. Having him home is likely going to increase her workload. Also, since he is not in the field anymore I guess he will have to give up his work truck. I can’t see the company buying another vehicle for the new tech that replaces him. Maybe that’s why he relented and bought the new car- it’s going to be their only vehicle?

Trace does home repairs like Chad did. An unlicensed handyman. I think Warden may work with him. Somehow I don’t think Lydia is as needy as her sister-in-laws. Jackson spent time in Arkansas doing construction with the Duggars before he got married if I am not mistaken. I think he may have a job with his in-laws.

Interesting that there was a clue about NAFTA today. Brian Mulroney, former Canadian PM who was the architect of the treaty died yesterday. I got FJ. Have to say playing Globle every day has helped me immensely with geography clues. None of my favourite contestants have advanced. Hope next week is better.

Josie has postpartum hives and she thinks she needs to see someone about pelvic floor issues because she is in pain when she walks. She says it is different from the other pregnancies. The baby is tongue tied so they have to take him in next week. She is still gushing about how sweet he is, which I understand, and Kelton is home and doing the cooking and distracting the girls which is nice. Still I have to wonder if she will remember all of this when they consider having another.

Hallmark movies would be interesting because the vast majority of them are filmed in Canada. British Columbia to be exact. Culture shock to the max. There was speculation on Reddit that she is pregnant again. Selling the house and buying an RV seems like a dumb idea if it is true.

This will not end well. Alyssa probably thinks John will be available to help during working hours. John will probably tell Alyssa to keep the kids quiet and away from his “office” while he is working. Both of them will end up frustrated and angry. This is a really, really dumb idea.

Evidently she is planning a joint birthday party for all 4 girls. Really? Of course Rhett will get his own party. 🙄 The birthdays are: Lexi January 26 Maci February 9 Zoey March 28 and Allie April 11. The GP is right in the middle on March 18. This makes me so angry for those poor girls. They are already lumped together and now they are being denied the one day of the year that is theirs alone. How much do you want to bet Alyssa will do the same thing she did at Christmas and give them all variations of the same gift? Two of my children have birthdays 9 days apart and I never did a combined party.

I like Miles better than Denver. I guess we will never know if Denver was first choice or if it was Miles all along. 7 lbs 10oz is only 1 pound bigger than Willow. Not huge by any stretch. I am glad to hear he is doing well. She said in her stories that a friend of hers did the name on the sweater last night.

I really hope she practiced on the Tesla before going on busy streets. Teslas are tricky. There is a bit of a learning curve. Most notably the acceleration is fast and it can catch you off guard. My son-in-law has one and he is a super techie, read the whole manual kind of guy. He is the first to admit that it is a a complicated vehicle. My husband got one when he rented a car (not by choice- it was all they had) and he had quite the time figuring out how everything worked. Son-in-law was adamant that they are not good rental cars.

There is speculation on Reddit that since the name leaked they are trying to decide on a different one. All kidding aside, I hope the little guy is ok. No posts yesterday.

On a more shallow note she posted a reel on Instagram last night which was basically a time lapse of her labour. Those curlers were in her hair until she was pushing. So how did that work? When they told her she was fully dilated did she say “ Hold on , let me do my hair and makeup first”? Seriously I do not understand. When I was 10 cm dilated hair and makeup were the furthest thing from my mind. And the nails? I was told to remove any nail polish before my deliveries in case there was an emergency. Is that not the case any more?

I am sure they are concerned. But not as worried as they were when Hazel was born. To be fair maybe since they have been through this before just knowing what is happening is a big help. Plus they may be downplaying their concerns on social media.

I remember how scared they were after Hazel was born and she was in the NICU . Also baffled that God would let this happen to a faithful couple such as themselves. Yet here they are again and it seems like they are not concerned because “ been there, done that” , Hazel was fine and the doctors will take care of baby boy too. Did they not understand the part about getting worse with each subsequent pregnancy? They have their boy and most sensible adults would be thankful and say they were done but I doubt that is the case here. Especially baffling since Kelton lost his mother and so God does, in fact, let bad things happen to good people. Was the baby’s weight ever mentioned? After all the posts about 95th percentile it seems odd that it has not been revealed.
