  1. Kandi married little big head: http://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/the-real-housewives-of-atlanta-star-kandi-burruss-marries-todd-tucker-36855
  2. I vote for adding Tori Spelling and/or Lisa Rinna.
  3. Amanda Sanders is making the gossip rag rounds and trashing the other housewives: http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2014/04/aviva-drescher-image-consultant-amanda-sanders-real-housewives-new-york-city-fired/ She bills herself as a RH - I wonder if they hired her as a replacement for LuAnn originally?
  4. Taylor got married: http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20803307,00.html Lisa, Kyle, Kim and Adrienne were in attendance. David Tutera was the wedding planner. Wonder if he filmed it for his show?
  5. It was based on Pete's name and former candy maker status so I could see them not wanting to walk away and let Dane replace them with 2 other people. Since they owned a successful shop before and sold it, I would think they would be savvy enough to hire a lawyer to look over the contract. As well, I would think that they would not have been so broke that they needed a 2K investment as a 50/50 partner. There's something they aren't telling us. This show also was not their first foray into reality TV. Sweet Pete's had a behind the scenes series last year according to this article: http://www.bizjournals.com/jacksonville/blog/2013/05/jacksonville-store-gets-reality-tv-show.html Maybe that show went into their financial difficulties?
  6. I was traumatized enough by the baby ruth in Caddyshack and then again in Jon & Kate plus 8 when she showed the potty training of the kids on TV. He looks to be 4 or 5. The kid in the other Clorox potty training commercial is almost as old --- where the kid runs with the pee potty down the hall, splashing it all about. Maybe these are really subliminal birth control ads?
  7. Umm, I have. The people in the commercial aren't young, they aren't hooking up, they are married to each other. What I am snarking at is that the creepy old eHarmony dude tries to hold out his site as some virtuous place for relationships and he's standing in the room while they are hooking up. That's never happened at any college frat party I've gone to. The crypt keeper would kill any raging boner imo.
  8. That's exactly how Will ate when we first met him in China. He shoveled all the food on his plate (rice, broccoli everything) in his mouth at once. They remarked on his wonderful appetite. It's not a new behavior with him. It's not something Jen or Bill trained him to do.
  9. All reality shows have previews that are cut to lead you to believe one thing and then it's another. It's to get attention and interest. Jen & Bill are not responsible for it - they aren't sitting there in the editing bay selecting footage for promos. Jodo writes that Jen & Bill are horrible parents for feeding Will so much crap. All4mom posts that Jen (not Bill) is a horrible mom because she only feeds the kids healthy food.
  10. Dane did an interview last year that reaches Alanis Morissette levels of irony: http://unfsbdc.blogspot.com/2013/04/an-interview-with-dane-baird-sweet.html
  11. Jen made a few attempts to get Will to get out of the booster seat at the dining table. He refused. Jen isn't strong enough to lift him out. So she pushed his chair back in which is safer than leaving the chair pulled out and turned to the side as Will could tumble out. Will doesn't need mac & cheese - no-one does. He's a bit chubby as it is and tends to eat everything put in front of him. Why do they need 'bad comfort food with a higher fat content'? Happiness and comfort through food? We have enough fat kids in this country that grew up with that philosophy. I actually liked what they served this time. Last episode when they gave Zoe that ridiculously large PB&J sandwich (large for her size) seemed either uninformed or lazy to me. Sure it's easier to feed kids large portions of crap but it isn't in their best interests. Little people in particular need to watch their weight even more closely.
  12. Thomas is appearing on WWHL next Monday to make a big announcement. Will it be political or personal in nature? http://www.fitsnews.com/2014/04/02/t-rav-major-announcement-coming/
  13. I hate the product placement. As if any of them use prepackaged chemical laden crap like that. They aren't Sandra Lee!
  14. There's a local article that goes into more detail about the financial plans: http://jacksonville.com/news/metro/2014-04-01/story/jacksonville-candy-store-sweet-petes-gets-new-partner-future Dane and the Behringers went into partnership in 2010 it looks like. So over 3 years, 2K$ in investment and some IT work plus sourcing a place to house the business. Dane is a local real estate agent so he probably saved himself commission as well as getting paid rent every month. He has made out very well for his little investment. The Behringers might have thought Dane would be an equal partner in the store but as we've seen, Dane likes to eat and stand around. Perhaps if he was less of a dickhead and pitched in a little labor (he said he could wrap the caramels), there would be a lot less resentment. I am wondering why the Behringers needed a partner in the first place. They had the expertise and experience. It seems they also should have the money. There was a family candy store business that got so successful, it was franchised. They wound up selling majority share of it because they didn't feel that was their expertise - managing franchises. Wonder if they really suck at business? http://www.bizjournals.com/jacksonville/stories/2010/07/19/daily30.html
  15. She's not a PR image consultant. Amanda is a fashion stylist. Hard to tell by the way either Amanda or Aviva dress. I found Reid's comment at lunch (with Aviva, Harry and Amanda) to be incredulous. He asked Aviva what she saw in Harry that made her marry him. Hello Reid? Have you met her father?
  16. eHarmony is treating us with another creepy ad. This one opens up with a couple groping each other at a party. http://www.ispot.tv/ad/7g1K/eharmony-happy-tenth-aniversary Then they walk in another room and start going at it. In bursts the rest of the party guests and of course the creeptastic eHarmony old dude. It's their 10th wedding anniversary so... it's OK to grope each other at a party? Blech.
  17. Dane speaks out. http://www.bizjournals.com/jacksonville/news/2014/04/02/embattled-sweet-petes-investor-dane-baird-speaks.html
  18. I saw the Kindle ad a lot on HGTV. It may no longer be airing due to talent renewal implications rather than controversy.
  19. Dane reminded me of someone but I couldn't place if it was a character on TV or someone I know in real life. What a selfish bastard. I did love how the camera would focus on that large bald spot on the back of his head. So Dane's contribution was 2K$ in cash (guessing inventory or equipment) plus he did the initial IT and ordered a sign. He also bought a house in an area with little foot traffic and rented it out to the business for $1400 a month. He would also show up from time to time and eat candy and agitate the partners. Did I miss anything? I looked at Google Earth and the house is in a residential neighborhood. It does have a nice parking lot next to it. A couple blocks north is an abandoned warehouse. A few blocks south is where some shops are. According to Zillow it sold in 2011 for $13,500. (Thirteen thousand five hundred dollars!) Even with property & school taxes, 1 years rent covers the purchase price and everything after that is pure profit. Dane ruined his own gravy train by being an out of control jackwad. That was so delish!
  20. I've seen the Kindle ad on cable tv, not recently though. I didn't like how the guy's voice shifts to sounding more effeminate once the woman says "her husband". As if we need the verbal queue that he's gay?
  21. I think the leering is the worst. The airport screener who almost sniffs the crotch of the woman while 'wanding' her --- so gross! Like that would make me want to buy a pair? Hey kids, buy our jeans and be groped in public! Sign me up! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0G3SgQdHOc
  22. I thought it was A-Rod at first. They play it all the time on my local cable news network. Guessing they are trying to get the 40-55 year old woman online gamers --- but they are playing Farmville with their friends in sweats. I don't see that demo being interested in Big Fish.
  23. http://www.drphil.com/shows/show/2197 Holy moly. This was a shitshow of epic proportions. Phil laces (ha!) into the mother for being a dumbass enabler and she was completely blindsided. Then the methy daughter comes on and goes on about how everyone in the world betrays her (even the McDonald's worker who forgot she didn't want onions) and that's why she does drugs (not a lot, just a little, all the time, you know, it's not a problem, but it is, but rehab is for junkies and I'm not one, but I need help, and I'm not on any now, except all the ones you found in my drug test this morning) and that's why her life isn't good. Dr. Phil has her older sister on and she barely says anything. Lacey turns to her, glares and mouths "I warned you". The sister looks shaken. The mother thought Dr. Phil was going to nominate her for saint of the year. Boy, was she shocked. The daughter thought Dr. Phil was going to baby her and tell her she was right about everything and wave some magic wand. The daughter is now 20 and is so angry. Her life experiences suck big time. She keeps putting herself into situations where bad things are inevitable. Then she gets to cry victim. Phil wants to do out patient therapy with Lacey. It will be interesting if they do a follow-up in a year.
  24. Dina appeared on Bethenney's show in January and said that she still lives with her husband Tommy despite filing for divorce last year) and they still have sex. TMI Dina, TMI. http://www.bravotv.com/blogs/the-dish/is-dina-manzo-still-living-with-her-ex?CID=OB-DISH Lauren is quoted that Dina is invited to her wedding with Vito. Run Vito Run.
