Mindee and Celeste!!! My babies!!

Best scenes of the episode, hands down, was everything Esme and Lorna. They have a great chemistry, I noticed it back in season 1 so I'm glad they're steadily building on it.

Andy and Rebecca are still cute, but now I wonder how Lauren and Caitlin'll take knowing how close Andy's grown to the "psycho killer"

Jace continues to be the worst.

The Mutant underground stays taking L's. Like, the Purifiers in the comics make this version of them look like amateur hour. Makes sense given that the X-men make the MU look like amateur hour. PS MU...the X-men (cough*Wolverine*cough) weren't so rigid on the no killing rule. Just saying.

Poor Shatter. Knew you were a goner the moment you spoke 2 consecutive words.

The show would be better if they focused on The Inner Circle. They're the most interesting because they actually seem to be building towards something.

As much as I love comic book based movies and tv shows, I’m really starting to dislike this one.

Jace needs to die ASAP.

Didn’t have to suffer through that much Andy, which was good.

I really loathe Caitlin.  As irritating as ever, and I truly dislike this actress’s voice.

I’m really tiring of the Frost sisters.  They are seemingly all powerful and it is getting old.

My closed captioning called Rebecca by the code name “Twist”.

Lost the last five minutes of the show due to breaking news election coverage.   It cut out when Esme was apologising to Lorna.  Anything else interesting happen after that?

More of the usual. Jace continues to compromise his ideals by working with the Purifiers. Esme gets a spotlight away from her clones . . . though I don't know who's who without Marcos' inflicted wound. Also, there were five sisters, so a nice shoutout to the comics. Sadly, the Purifiers wreck the mutants again, and Shatter takes a special bullet from Jace. Seeing a guy bleed out crystals . . . brutal. At least he took out one Purifier.

Still not getting Lauren's dreams. She pushes, Andy pulls, their powers amplify if they're together . . . and they share realistic dreams?

Rebecca is cute, but just imagining what she did to that one asshole on film is a bit chilling.

They really need to drag her ass along on their next Inner Circle/rescue Andy mission so she can finally STFU.

It's clear the world of the Gifted is a dystopia because there is no way that a local news station would misspell "fugitive." They actually spelled it "fugative." Fugative.

Jace continues to suck.

So now we add murderer to Jace's list of charming qualities. Great. Why couldn't Shatter have killed him on his way out?

Reeva's not good at managing people, is she? Good thing she has the triplets, or more specifically, Esme. I did think it was stupid for a supposed master manipulator like Esme to slip up with the lullaby, but at least we got some backstory on her and she plays well off Lorna.

Andy and Rebecca playing video games together was pretty sweet. Not so sweet? What Rebecca does to people she doesn't like.

Caitlin can shut up now. And is anyone noticing that Lauren's displaying a bit of ticking time-bomb vibe this season?

See, this is what happens when you skip training day Reed!

I actually really liked this episode, mostly due to the pacing picking up and less time spent on the characters that annoy me most; Andy and Caitlin. Shatter absolutely did NOT have to die in this episode, or if they thought someone did, they could have had him die in a more believable/sensible way, like taking a bullet for the EXPENDABLE RANDOM TEENAGE BOY that no one knows or cares about or taking bullets to the back to keep them from hitting other mutants as they fled through Reed's disintegrated wall. But no. Sigh.

The Lorna/Esme stuff was great. I like seeing their dynamic grow. I predict they will end up betraying and consequently taking down Reeva, then being the next leaders of the Inner Circle. Also loved the Esme/Cuckoos backstory

Reed acted like Andy this episode so he annoyed me. He knows better than this. Or maybe he won't be happy until he "accidentally" melts Cait's arm off in bed.

Are John's abilities weakening?

Andy deserves Rebecca. I can't wait to see when she turns all Fatal Attraction on him and starts inverting his family members for funzies.

Man.. You know white heroes can't really feel the pain needed to rise to the occasion and save everyone until a noble minority is killed in front of them... Its 2018 where you been??

What I dislike about this Rebecca twist is that it's a total attempt to sympathize with Andy. "Oh, poor Andy is together with a psychopath who might hurt him!" I'd much rather Andy found out and joined in with Rebecca's psychopathic tendencies. A teenage couple who aren't afraid to hurt or kill people to get what they want? Now that's a story I'd watch! As it is, I can tell the writers are holding back with Andy's story because they don't want him to go too far in his actions because they still want him to turn back to the Mutant Underground at the end of this season, perhaps even to help Lauren, who is giving in to her anger.

Speaking of Lauren, they're setting up her joining the Inner Circle and not being very subtle. Not that I can totally blame her, but it's just too obvious and I don't feel like it'll last that long.

Also, no surprise Caitlin went right into "WE GOTTA SAVE POOR ANDY" after last episode.

Ok, this is the first episode where I've disliked Reed this season. What a moron for not trying to take hold of his powers. Is he that stupid to not realize that he's out of control and almost didn't want to train? Him spewing that he didn't need training and basically belittling John's attempts was dumb.

Esme and Lorna were a highlight. I really liked seeing them bond. Esme has been the most empathetic out of her sisters, so no surprise she found a way to connect with Lorna but also found a way to understand and agree with her.

Reeva still annoys me but at least she finally listened to Esme. I don't really care who this G.M person is in her phone.

Another flashback, but more interesting because it’s the Frosts. I like this.

Finally Reed gets to train. Thank god Kaitlin is supportive.

Fuck the purifiers. Man, Turner’s wife should leave him. He’s a fucktard.

I actually took less notes this time because it was so intense. Go Lorna!

I don’t event know about this episode, it’s all a lot of crazy.

Reed is out of control!

Kill Shatter then get another. BudgetShatter! Reed can reduce the expanse in the make up department.

Nice to see that the purifiers are worthless without Jace.

Reed goes to ask for John's help twice this season but only to send him packing and refuse the advice. The result is there. But they did explain that his resons were that the sensation he gets is him dying all over again. A trauma from childhood makes sense and can in part explain his behavior.

Is Blink taking a jab at her boyfriend by saying Jace's tracking skills are almost on par with John's?

I could imagine Reeva and a Morlock dating. That could lead to all sorts of possibilities.

The stupidest thing about Reed disintegrating the wall... it seems to me that like in the comics, this Thunderbird has some degree of super strength.  He certainly has the invulnerability.  So why didn't he just take a running charge at the wall and break it down?  Eclipse has some kind of light or photon manipulation powers.  Still not exactly sure if he's supposed to be like Dazzler, Havok or Sunspot.  In any event, I think we've seen that his light is some kind of energy, so why not focus that energy on making a hole in the wall?  Also, did Blink leave already at that point?  Why couldn't she have come back to make sure the rest of the team was OK after getting all the random refugees to safety?  Why did Shatter have to run out and sacrifice himself?  Why couldn't Blink just open a portal so everyone could get to safety?  Why did the portal have to be just at the edge of that forest?  I'm pretty sure she doesn't have to have a line of sight to portal, like Nightcrawler does.  In the previous episode she opened a portal to the underground Morlock tunnels.

I get that it was about the awakening of Reed but it was annoying.  So much stupid in this episode.

As mentioned before, Blink was conveniently (for plot) knocked out by the gas so she couldn't portal. John's powers seem to be on the blink (no pun intended) for a while now. I sense that his decline in invulnerability is linked to his lack of confidence lately. You're right about Eclipse; we've seen him hone his powers into a laser-like beam that cuts through metal many times and, oh yeah, Shatter has the ability to crystalize walls and oh, you know, SHATTER them (as we saw in the season 1 finale). But, that was all conveniently forgotten about in favour of fumbling Reed.

I thought it was ridiculous how Lorna jumped to conclusions (even though she was right); she might hum the lullaby when she's with her baby but as we clearly saw, she does so with the door wide open. Esme could have easily overheard them before she knocked on the door???

It was so ridiculous! Why did Shatter even go out there? To buy them extra time? How about fake negotiating while Reed works on the wall? And if someone really had to go out there, how about doing it when Reed's already working on the wall (which Shatter could have easily, you know, shattered instead but okay) instead of Reed opening the door, slowly walking over to the wall and putting his hands on it and trying to focus, aka wasting a lot of time.

And I thought Marcos was going to blind the Purifiers (i.e. by shining bright lights, not literally burning retinas) not shoot laser beams or whatever at them. Like, how is that even useful? He shot one or two and the Purifiers just leaned more to the other side. And if blinding them was too difficult, then how about directing the beam to the engines and forcing the Purifiers to flee or die in an explosion.

Come on Shatter why did you even go out there?! Of course he had to die, he had a few lines in a row, we cant have that!

I would think that a bunch of people with powers could do better against a bunch of idiots with guns. Yeah, the yahoos with guns can certainly do damage (yahoos with guns often do a lot of damage)but I would think the underground could do better.

I actually liked the backstory with the triplets, and the shout outs to the comics, with their originally being five girls instead if three. Its a suitably creepy backstory, and, this might be an unpopular opinion, but I've always liked the Frost sisters, especially Esme. She has good chemistry with Lorna as well. I also cracked up at the sisters complaining about how they have to all wear sleeves because Esme got hurt. Psychic triplets who all have a hive mind is all well and good, but having to wear the same outfits as your sisters every day? What a hassle!

Caitlin and her obsession with Andy is still annoying, but I did appreciate her telling Lauren that she didnt want Lauren to start thinking that Andy was the kid she cared about more, because...thats really the vibe I've been getting lately.
