I just realized there are only 3 people that definitely won't take Tyler off. Maybe 5 because JC is a wild card and hopefully Bay wouldn't be that dumb. And I guess maybe Scottie wouldn't really go through with taking Tyler off. I mean I really hope he wouldn't be that dumb, but he seems to really buy that Tyler loves him lol. Not for nothing, but of all of the "snowed" people, Scottie has the most reason to believe Tyler, since Bayleigh told him it separately, ya know? So he got from a unbiased third party that Tyler likes him. That's usually a pretty good method of getting the truth on these things. He just didn't know that Tyler was trying to play fifth dimensional chess while Bayleigh was barely playing checkers. 8 Link to comment
TimWil August 4, 2018 Share August 4, 2018 (edited) This Hacker twist is just 100 shades of bulls**t and I would have expressed the same opinion if Tyler, Brett or Kaycee had been the recipient. It’s just way too much power given to an individual player. Was Grodner panicking because Kaitlyn had left, Tyler’s overall victory seemed inevitable and Angela (who’d barely been spotted on the CBS show) was HoH? It has such a “pulled out of Grodner’s ass” smell to it. I hope if Moonves really does leave in disgrace (Farrow has apparently written an equally damning follow-up piece) then Grodner will end up as collateral damage. peachmangosteen August 4, 2018 Share August 4, 2018 (edited) True actually and Tyler has been really playing Scottie well these past 2 days. Kaycee thinks the Hacker will pick Scottie for veto and Angela thinks they'll pick Faysal. I just think the better feeds will come from Tyler not being taken down. He is very likely to still stay anyway. ETA: Although I am mildly interested in how people would justify saving Tyler and what Angela would say when replacing him. The Hacker twist was already in the works pre-Angela HoH, so I don't think it was about helping or hurting any particular HG. In fact, I think they're probably irked that it might fuck Tyler over this week. I think it is just them being morons and thinking that more powers = better TV. 15 Link to comment
zorak August 4, 2018 Share August 4, 2018 Kaycee is talking to Angela and just confirmed what I had been wondering about: Scottie was lying to Kaycee when he told her that Rachel had told him that she and Kaycee had a final 2. I couldn't imagine why Rachel would have told him that when it wasn't even true but I also couldn't figure out why Scottie would even lie about knowing about it since Rachel is already out of the house. I'm pretty sure he told Tyler the same thing yesterday. It makes no sense. I guess when he told Kaycee that he knew, he was looking her straight in the eye. Angela and Kaycee agree that it means that Scottie has mastered the art of lying to you when looking right into your eyes. 1 Link to comment

She's doing what she can to try to make a move that's good for her. Nobody else would have. Rockstar would have 100% put up Brett. Nobody else would have had the guts to do what Haleigh did, even under a secret power. What Haleigh did is cement herself with me as one of the better players this season. If she won HOH and made this move as well, it would be even better. It's just that the hacker twist is dumb due to three different powers getting to be used at all three ceremonies. That's OP (overpowered) as hell. I felt like this when Sam had her house meeting and if someone like Brett had won it, I'd be equally as annoyed because nobody needs this kind of power. Yes, it doesn't mean the Hacker is safe from noms. Yes, it doesn't guarantee anything. But this season didn't need any twists. They've proven to be just fine without them. If anything, BB fucked themselves with their twists. Sam's Bonus Life was relied on too heavily, as production had NO back-up plan for Kaitlyn losing the comeback challenge. How do you NOT have a backup? How do you rely so heavily on a twist that has a 1% chance of failing (and then Kaitlyn being that 1%)? And now, they introduce a twist that nullifies one power completely and renders the second one completely useless. Yeah, good going Big Brother.
