Kromm May 14, 2014 Share May 14, 2014 I speculate that Oscar will be messy, and that Felix will be persnickety and OCD-level neat! Link to comment
aradia22 May 24, 2014 Share May 24, 2014 I speculate that Matthew Perry will be Matthew Perry-ish and Tom Lennon will be Tom Lennon-y. I can't see this as being anything but DOA unless the older crowd just eats it up. And I say that as someone who watched all of Mr. Sunshine and Go On and who just finished the screenwriting advice book Tom wrote with his screenwriting partner. I can kind of see why they cast Tom Lennon but they really needed to pair him with a heavy hitter and Matthew Perry just doesn't have that anymore. So I speculate that I should not even get invested in this because it will be a miracle if it lasts longer than a season. Link to comment
morgankobi June 1, 2014 Share June 1, 2014 It may suck, but I have also sat through all of Studio 60, Mr. Sunshine and Go On (the latter being pretty good, actually) and will attempt anything with an alum from The State. Link to comment
legaleagle53 June 11, 2014 Share June 11, 2014 Hmm -- interesting that Matthew Perry is the one playing Oscar. That's about as far removed from Chandler Bing as you can get! Link to comment

AstaCharles January 25, 2015 Share January 25, 2015 I'll be tuning in. I remember Perry and Lennon in 17 Again and they were good together. 1 Link to comment
Petunia13 February 2, 2015 Share February 2, 2015 I think both guys are funny so I'll give it a chance. Wasn't the one guy on Reno 911 and The State? Both shows were a hoot. Link to comment
jbrecken February 20, 2015 Share February 20, 2015 Will they stunt-cast the ex-wives for sweeps appearances, or will they go with cheaper actresses who can show up more often? Link to comment
LiveFromKevin February 21, 2015 Share February 21, 2015 Will they stunt-cast the ex-wives for sweeps appearances, or will they go with cheaper actresses who can show up more often? If it's a hit, they might try hard for one of the ex-Friends for Oscar. If the women in the main cast are any indication, they may go quite a bit younger than the male leads for the exes (someone like Sarah Chalke seems about right). Link to comment

Chalke is busy playing a very similar role on Rainn Wilson's Backstrom. A show which admittedly might not last beyond this season, but for now at least she's booked up. Link to comment

BW Manilowe February 22, 2015 Share February 22, 2015 'Parenthood's' Lauren Graham Heads to CBS' 'Odd Couple' Matthew Perry also mentioned, in a The Hollywood Reporter interview related to the show which I linked to in the Pilot thread, that Lauren Graham will apparently be at least recurring as Gaby, Oscar's ex in this version.
