And, just for the record…the cinder blocks do not come with the jeep.  I need them for the dark brown vintage Pinto I uncovered from my neighbor’s woods.  It’s a honey. Give me a few hours and I’ll post the particulars of this one-of-a-kind beauty.  I’m calling it a Pinto Sport because there are only two seats (actually one and a half).  I’m supposing raccoons ate the back seats and half of the drivers seat.

A Pinto!  Wow.  As long as it has a gas tank, I want it!

Today's episode is Season 20, Episode 68 from January 25, 2017.

Today's first case: The teeth the teeth! Maybe that should be the teef the teef! They jumped out so strongly that I barely noticed the dark roots. You don't have to be affluent to save up a few years to have those teeth fixed without a complete restoration; I would expect that to be a high priority for most people. If she doesn't do something, I see full dentures in her near future. Meanwhile, the defendant thinks the plaintiff (mother-in-law) hates him because he is uneducated. He says this is because he joined the marines instead of getting educated. The former marines I have known came out of the corps disciplined and goal oriented and pursued education and/or careers while this guy seems to be a complete loser. Sad all around.

Years ago I was in her position.  If you don't have dental insurance, it is tough.  I always feel for people with dental problems.

It's not like you can fix it with 1k - without insurance = she's probably looking at over 5k on the low-side.

CrazyinAlabama, can you check your Titan TV guide listing for Monday's episode for me?  My Optimum listing has the same episode as the Tuesday listing, "Clash Over Missing Glasses."  I assume the actual episode to be shown is "Car Catastrophe" Season 20, Episode 72.  If you post the episode title prior, I will take it from there.  Thanks.

TV Titan claims Monday's episode is A Grand Vehicular Disaster, Season 20, Episode 72, first aired 1/31/2017 (the title isn't capitalized the way Tuesday's case is, so that may or may not be the actual title).

Tuesday is supposed to be Clash Over Missing Glasses, Season 20, Episode 73, first aired 2/1/2017.

That used to be the case, as I well know. Now there are so many very low-cost or even free dental services for low-income people.

CareCredit cards also allow you to pay monthly for the service and the payments are probably lower than most of our litigants pay for their tablets, latest cell phones, and internet service.

JMHO, but most of the people we see here with wrecked grills either don't care, have a deathly fear of dentists, don't want anyone to know about their meth habit, or would rather spend their money elsewhere.

I'd put the Plaintiff in question in the "Don't care" category.

Programming alert!  Programming alert!  It's finally here!  This episode is the main reason I keep watching People's Court reruns; just waiting for this particular case to reair.  I loathe the disgusting defendant in today's first case.  As a reminder, she is the neon yellow mohawk hair, butcher/stripper, in-court nose picker who Judge Milian fawned over.  There is a picture of her in the linked discussion.  I despise her.  This is a must watch, IMO.

Wow!  What a roller coaster ride of a case.

What the hell hairstyle was on the defendant's head?

When the brother approaches the bench to see the video, notice how close Douglas is standing to him.    The butt print on the pillow is interesting.     This case should be reviewed by anyone who is going to become a landlord, and show you every single bad move a landlord can make.

Okay, we know the neon-topknotted def is a... not-nice young lady of the garden-variety type we see all the time here.  She strips, 'escorts', and would gladly beat a bitch if there's a disagreement. She might do all that, but is simply appalled that anyone thinks she smokes in the presence of the poor little baby she squirted out and drags around. I'm sure she's an exemplary mother. Why couldn't she go live with the sire of her child? Well, maybe they aren't really 'dating' or she barely knows him.

BUT, the plaintiff is a complete, total, thick looney-tunes, a woman who is not stupid but is an idiot whose husband is in the slammer, and who thought the Def and her entourage - brother, baby daddy, etc, would work out just fine living with her. Why, yes - she did check out the Def after she moved in. She sounded and acted like a lunatic in that disgusting video. She just wanted to help a poor little SSM. She goes to church! I wonder if she uses that filthy language there. Lady, you could have chosen from a zillion other SSMs, but YOU chose this one. Seriously, there is something very wrong in her so-called brain. I don't know what, but it's way off.

I wouldn't want the def. plopping her large, naked buttocks on my pillow after a night of stripping and  "escorting". Eww. Mother of the Year!

Not sure why JM found all this amusing. I thought it was revolting, but maybe she's heard so much worse that she sees it differently.

When was the last time we saw a roommate or a sublet situation in which police were not called, or didn't end in a "physical altercation"?

Last case creepy and crawly bedbugs. Plaintiff wants $5,000 because bedbugs ruined her 4 televisions. Single mother with 4 kids each have their own tv. Maybe the baby had the 65 inch. Lol No award from JM.

Hats off to her. She must have an extremely well-paying job to support the 3 teens (no baby daddies in evidence?), buy them all TVs, and then decide she was in the position to squirt out No.4.  Hard work does pay off! Not today, though.

It was so icky watching the bed bug case, since Judge Judy's first case (most people don't get that additional hour I get) was also bed bug stuff.   So, I have been feeling like something was crawling around for two judge shows.

I really wanted to slap the plaintiff, she claims they still had bed bugs, so she moves to the living room, infecting another portion of the apartment.     I wonder if she bought the new baby a TV too?

The TitanTV lists Monday the 11th as 02/07/17 Friendship Ruined over Furniture Sale season 20/episode 77 (Even stranger, for Mondays they only list a description and the episode number, so it looks like the right one)

Tuesday the 12th was 02/08/17 Car Sale Catastrophe, season 20/episode 78.  This one actually has an episode title.

My quick recap of today's cases:

1. An ignorant, arrogant and entitled plaintiff gets nothing.

2. Another ignorant and entitled plaintiff gets nothing (even though offered a pair of glasses he still needs after his eye surgery, too dense to take them).

3. An ignorant, arrogant and entitled dog owning (rotty/pit mix of course) defendant loses while claiming that the plaintiff wasn't really bitten in spite of pictures and medical records.

Pretty much par for the course many days.

Yes, dense and ignorant with horrific grammar he may be, but I give kudos that he seems to have finally realized at his stage in life that he has zero impulse control, so actually left the store before he went "all crazy" on the Def. Not knocking it. I've often gone all crazy myself when there is a disagreement over a purchase.

Too bad he was too dense to understand that something is better than nothing - well, in this case. If it comes to FB/Tinder/ etc. "dating" sites, I would say that nothing is WAY better than these somethings.

I love (yes, sarcasm) when Judge M says that defendant saying the mechanic/inspection site defendant always uses is a better choice than the other mechanic shop.   I'm guessing the defendant meant that the shop that inspected and maintained the car was an obvious choice to inspect the car.   I don't think the defendant phrased the inspection issue correctly.   The other mechanic passed the car, and her son registered the car, so it passed.

I love plaintiff stomping past Doug in the hall, with a shrill "No comment!".      I wonder how many other cases plaintiff has filed in the past?

Probably a few. Horrible witch. What I missed the first time was that P met Def when she was going to look at a room or apt Def had for rent. So, if P had the money to secure the space, why didn't she take it instead of buying a $700 wreck to live in?  I wouldn't believe her if her tongue was notarized.

Yeah, I love animals too - too much to collect them when I can't take care of them.

Seems Def has learned the trick of getting inspection stickers for beaters that shouldn't be on the road. Commendable.

P's cry to JM as she was dismissed: "I'm glad you had a lot of fun with me!"

Trust me - I'm sure she had no fun at all with a nasty scammer like you.

Was P's so-called witness (maybe hoping for a share of $7,000 or so dollars) named Wildebeest? My CC refuses to give names anymore.

One other thing on this show, besides "She wanted to fight me" that sticks in my mind is the concept of single women inviting men who are total strangers to come and live with them. It never fails to astonish me.

I never knew women did this until I watched this and other court shows. I guess they think they're so savvy, or untouchable/immortal that they can never be raped and/or murdered, even by the wimpiest little guy like the one in this case. Sure, I'd risk being another statistic for $800 a month. Even though I see it (over and over) I just can't wrap my head around it.

Do they think because it's an apartment with other people around that they're safe? They absolutely are not.

I was dumb when young, poor, and living alone, but never that dumb.

Have a good weekend, everyone.  Remember, do not buy a car off of Craigslist; do not buy an "as is" used car and expect to get a refund when the car breaks down; do not rent an apartment off of Craigslist; do not have a roommate, especially one found on Craigslist; do not loan/give money to a friend, relative or significant other; do not put someone on your cellphone account; do not buy anyone a cellphone; do not pay for someone else's bail or child support; do not walk your dog without a leash; do not have a pit bull; do not damage an apartment and expect your security deposit back; do not expect to keep the whole security deposit, even if the apartment was a mess, if you go on TPC; do take before and after pictures; do not leave a deposit and expect it back when you change your mind; do not hire non-licensed, low-priced repair people and expect quality work; do put your deal in writing; do not "trust" someone you just met; do not address Judge Milian as ma'am, sometimes; and do not sue for harassment, emotional distress and lost wages for coming to court.

Monday Season 20, episode 82 "Leaky Litigation"  (it's about a water leak in an apartment, not a boat) description : the court hears a suit that can best be described as "leaky."

Tuesday Season 20, episode 83, "Boat Disaster" : A traumatic piece of boat-related mayhem leads to legal action.

The leaky pipe case was worth watching just to see Judge M tell plaintiff her old stuff wasn't worth much, and she wasn't giving her anything like the bonanza plaintiff was requesting.

The landlord paid plaintiff's mother $200 for a used suitcase, and then one picture of damages plaintiff submits is the same suitcase, with the same mold pattern on the suitcase.   Not one picture of the $2,000 plaintiff wants for damaged clothes.

I can't believe that the judge gave the plaintiff $600.

I couldn't either. I had forgotten the particulars of this case so I rewatched it. P was a lying scammer who started eye-rolling as JM verbally flogged her - and it was a pretty good flogging - but should someone who outright lied to her ("The pictures of all my expensive ruined clothes? Oh, well, they're on another device!) get any award? I guess so.

The Levin: "She's not into moldy oldies". Guess that leaves you out, Harve.

I don't understand why Tyrone, who is another brazen, lying scammer and lied to JM's face, got treated to smiles from JM, as though he just did something naughty but cute, instead of knowingly beating the P out of her broker fee.

"Our store has been there for a zillion years and is open six days a week. Of course, I have a clear memory of one pair of pants that came in, because they were shrunken and had holes all over them." Asshole.

Also in retrospect, before the Plague and our introduction to Judge John, to hear JM talking so disparagingly about him makes me wonder why on earth she ever married such a clueless, "Duhh" slacker. 😄

First case – I despised the plaintiff although the defendant was a bit shady himself. He got all dressed up for court but apparently doesn’t own a comb and downed a dozen espressos before court. He was obnoxious and really twitchy. I believe he grossly exaggerated the size of the gas cylinders. I have never seen gas cylinders as tall as he claimed and while the acetylene cylinders were often shorter and wider than the oxy, he was adding drama by claiming huge cylinders. I loved his claim that his car was worth $4000 (I think that was his number) and when JM didn’t buy that, he claimed he knew from KBB but he didn’t bring it with him, JM came back with “we have the book” and you are just wrong. Let’s not forget that the plaintiff claimed that the quarter panel on his car was caved in and destroyed, but he didn’t take any pictures of the damage. JM gave him $400 but I wouldn’t have given him anything because he brought no real evidence that this even happened.

Second case – Unleashed small dog attacked large leashed dog case brings us another annoying plaintiff who lets his barky little dog loose in his front yard which is “fenced” but has no gate so it is wide open to the sidewalk and street. He sort of denies that his dog was out of his yard because the dog is trained to stop right at the gate opening (Harvey garbles this with his pathetic fans when he asks them if the other dog on the sidewalk could be trained to stop right at the gate) so the other dog must have come on to his property. Plaintiff is a passive-aggressive jerk. He and his wife claim that the defendant has come near their house and yelled racist insults at the wife, defendant absolutely denies it. The insult is very Viet Nam era and the defendant looks the right age for that, but anybody who has watched Apocalypse Now or Full Metal Jacket has probably heard. I just don’t know about this claim. The plaintiff was pretty fast and loose with facts earlier in the case, but that seems like a very specific insult wouldn’t be something he would make up.

Third case – It was too boring to listen to, although I caught the plaintiff’s hallterview and enjoyed how irate she was about the verdict.

After writing all this, now I should go back to the first showing and see how I felt way back then.

First case – I despised the plaintiff although the defendant was a bit shady himself. He got all dressed up for court but apparently doesn’t own a comb and downed a dozen espressos before court.

I really enjoyed this repeat just as much as I did on first viewing. Such awful people. The plaintiff is such a successful and expert businessman with his extensive list of credentials that he drives a 23-year-old Toyota. The litigants nearly made JM "lose it". I liked Douglas laying down the law on the foolish P, and I especially liked the def's witness who, when asked a simple question about who was operating the lift, was rendered speechless, paralyzed with fear about either losing his job if he didn't lie or being verbally flayed if he did lie. Crickets were heard.
