bilgistic February 21, 2018 Share February 21, 2018 Dale is such a piece of garbage. I love, love, love how Chip gave Christine's "friends" their church donations back. 6 Link to comment
possibilities February 21, 2018 Share February 21, 2018 This is really Christine's show now, and I'm fine with that. She's the only interesting character anymore, though, and I do wish they would fix that a little. Making her the center is fine with me. But everyone else has just become nothing. 3 Link to comment
SWLinPHX February 21, 2018 Share February 21, 2018 I never thought they should have started that rodeo. None of them seemed competent enough or even that into it to be honest. Link to comment
Guest February 21, 2018 Share February 21, 2018 Personally, I hate rodeos but I think Christine started it more with generosity of her spirit than thinking it could turn into a windfall. She wanted something for her family to be proud of and to bring them closer together. Was a rodeo or an Arby's the best way to do it? Probably not. 18 hours ago, bilgistic said: Dale is such a piece of garbage. I love, love, love how Chip gave Christine's "friends" their church donations back. Yes! I also loved that Chip clipped that biddy in the head with the donation basket. What a pack of demons they were. I'm surprised the church doesn't erupt into flames when they entered it. And yes, Dale is a pile of garbage. He seems as nearly unredeemable as the twins who've mercifully been absent all season and I hope it stays that way. Link to comment
peeayebee February 21, 2018 Share February 21, 2018 I completely agree that this is the Christine Baskets Show. She's such an interesting and sympathetic character, even when she does questionable things. Man, I felt for her so badly when everything was falling apart -- Dale conspiring with her brother to take over the rodeo, her "friends" being transparently two-faced mean biddies, Chip not having her back, the threat of being sued by her own son. When she walked into the Korean church I was surprised and so pleased. She needs love and peace in her life. 9 Link to comment
charmed1 February 22, 2018 Share February 22, 2018 Oh man, I freaking lose it every time I see one of Christine’s Costco products that I also happen to own. That giant 45-pack of Costco toilet paper sitting on top of the shelf. Ha! And it’s some really crappy paper (no pun intended), but I’ve got nine rolls to go. And I didn’t know anyone still made hamburger pizza. I thought it was an unfortunate flavor that Pizza Hut was pushing in the 80s. Dale made me laugh when he said he gave birth to his daughter. I'd really like a look inside the Quiznos conventions. 2 Link to comment

Tosia February 22, 2018 Share February 22, 2018 I was sad that Christine gave in to Dale and her bro. I had the feeling that the rodeo world fail because of allt6heir lack of bizness acumen, but I wanted Christine to succeed and have it be the family entity that she craved like her boyfriend had. She's wonderfully hopeful. Hope she finds solace and encouragement NOT to sign any papers from the new church guy. Now I want walnut fudge. Now. 2 Link to comment

CaptainTightpants February 23, 2018 Share February 23, 2018 How is it possible that Christine is the only emotionally sincere person in this whole cancerous family? I hope she writes a chart-topping hymn and that the rodeo burns down with Dale, her brother and those hags from church all inside. Then the show can beef up Martha's scenes with Christine and it will be perfect. The lack of Martha is my only complaint so far this season. The switch to Christine as the protagonist has been inspired. Chip isn't nearly sympathetic enough to carry the show, even if he gets a few points for standing up to the church hags at the end. This whole show is a cautionary tale about how your offspring can end up being comprehensively shitty. I'm so glad I never had any! 5 Link to comment

atlantaloves February 23, 2018 Share February 23, 2018 Those were nuts? God, I am going blind, I thought she was actually chopping cereal, (which is insane) because, hey, why not? This is Baskets not Top Chef. Thanks MV, oh I love Martha too....what's with the cast that she has had on for years? I love it, I adore this show, and I don't quite know why. 2 Link to comment

I love when Christine is in her happy place. I could watch her just wandering around Costco shopping and dropping homespun wisdom; rhapsodizing Reagan with Martha; stopping by the Korean church with the hot pastor(?) and writing her own hymn; and then heading home to her adorable boo. Chip and Dale need to be written off. 3 Link to comment
SWLinPHX February 24, 2018 Share February 24, 2018 How badly did Martha injure her harm and what exactly happened that the cast needs to be on that long? Do some breaks require that long to heal? Link to comment

Chip and Dale need to be written off. Even though I wasn't thrilled with the trend I saw from the first episode this season--putting Christine at the center of the show--I agree with you that if they're going to do it, they might as well go all the way with it. Dale is unappealing, but that's nothing new; the calamity is that they destroyed Chip, turning him from someone who made me laugh a lot into a complete waste of space, consuming our planet's precious natural resources for no good reason. I would tune into The New Adventures of Old Christine and Martha. Edited February 24, 2018 by Milburn Stone 4 Link to comment
