So, if anyone wants to discuss characters--development, likes/dislikes, what they'll be doing in season 9 and beyond--this is the place! You can dislike a character, but remember the rules and be kind and courteous to all the posters. :-)

I hope Anna returns in season 9. I like her dynamic with Callen (and the rest of the team), and I'm glad he finally has a lover who seems able to handle his mood swings (at least she didn't leave when he threw out all his furniture). Besides, she's Arkady's daughter.

Hanna is really good, the karaoke duo with G is nice, for me it has only one defect. She is too beautiful for the show
For me all the characters of the team, given the dangerous job, would deserve a beautiful personal life life.
G and Anna, Densi, Sam and her family
Particularly, G, a good tormented agent in search of his identity, family, after Joelle's ugly experience.

What do you think will happen to them?

I am so curious about what's going to happen to Sam and between Callen and Sam. I'm not curious about Kensi and Deeks; that relationship seems stable and on course. It's time to spend some time on the other relationships. I'm also curious about Nell especially if the new Asst. Director is a woman (how will that affect her relationship with Hetty?). I hope the season goes well and that the nuptials don't become a focal point (that would be boring IMO).

Was Hetty an undercover operative?  Ever?  The reason I ask is that she is darned close to being unique physically, and for that alone, she's memorable.

The only advantage of her height (and I write this as someone altitudinally challenged) is that there's not as much of her to shoot at.

When they say "she's disappeared"  I want to ask if they've looked at the bottom of the screen, or for her small feet scurrying past a chest of drawers.

Will they leave open the disappearance of Owen Granger? Like he is out there somewhere looking for bad guys? I know he can't come back. But to me the letter that Hetty read kind of left him up in the air. Did I understand that scene wrong?

I think they pretty much closed the chapter on Owen. In either Battle Scars or Golden Days, when Hetty was explaining her working relationship with the older guys, AJ said that Granger was probably already dead--and I got the feeling that that's where they'll leave it, but you never know. :)

I liked the way they left it with Granger, that he was finishing his life on his own terms and that he had probably died but...you never know. The loss of Miguel Ferrer is still hard for me as a viewer, so I can't even imagine what it must be like for the cast and crew.

Something I wish had happened a little more over the course of the show is Kensi and Callen working together. I know they have their own partners but there were several times they paired up and I really liked their dynamic. I remember once when they were at a dock/harbor/something and they decided to act like a drunk couple; it was cute. They have a very different dynamic with each other than they do with the others and it's nice to change it up. Much as I like Kensi and Deeks and Callen and Sam I know how 98% of their scenes and conversations are gonna go.

Anyone else think the Callen this season is like a clone--not the Callen of earlier seasons? I thought he wasn't himself in S10, but this season I don't recognize him. Didn't Sam tell him, "You're very damaged" at the end of S10? He doesn't seem very damaged. He doesn't seem like he's had ANY traumatic experiences lately: the death of his dad, the exile of his girlfriend (is she an ex?), the shunning by his sister, the discovery that his dad raised a Comescu as his son . . . Are we gonna find out that everything that happened was just a dream and that Nikita's alive, there is no Darius, Alex has always been there for him, and he's married to Anna? 😂😂😂 Seriously, what's going on with Callen? It's like he's taken a whole truckload of chill pills.

Is the actress who plays Nell, pregnant?  Her face is rounder, and her midsection seemed more pronounced.  Not to mention the peasant style clothes - which I don’t recall Nell ever wearing.

I haven’t seen the show all season, so. I wasn’t sure.

I don't understand the fascination with Renee's "condition." JC, I feel sorry for women in the public eye. Nobody asks if some guy is a father based on his appearance.

I put this in Yellow Jack but maybe it belongs here:

Maybe the writers have forgotten the premise for NCIS Los Angeles.  There has been no real undercover for a fair while now. What has happened to the Office of Special Provisions?  I wonder if it the plausible nature of the age of the actors playing the parts and the convincingness of them being able to play younger parts?  I mean, CO'D is 50, LL Cool J is older, ECO is in his 40's now, and in all reality, looks like a bum, and DR is mid 30's now.  All have aged and there is no one younger to play early entry Navy positions.  Perhaps this is the downfall of having the same main cast for every season since the end of S1? I think they need to bring in new blood and in some way, split the partners, so they can train new blood.  Or even have the older pairings work with a younger pairing.  Either way, it would give everyone a chance to work on their own things and still be part of the show.  I miss the under cover nature of the show that it had when it began.

Pauly Perrette is starting in some awful looking new sitcom for CBS.  I'm not surprised she's back on CBS since she was one of their most popular stars.  But I thought the whole reason she left the NCIS was because of friction between her and Harmon.    Why didn't they just move Abby over to LA, which is so disconnected from the mothership both in show and IRL that it wouldn't have been an issue.

After watching a lot of reruns of this show, it is my opinion that Deeks and Kensi suck as a couple.  They are completely lacking in chemistry, spark or whatever you want to call it.

Deeks is also annoying as fuck with his stupid mop haircut and his verbal diarrhea.

I thinks the Kensi and Deeks scenes are lacking spark. The whole show is, tbh. I liked D&K a lot in the beginning of their partnership, maybe the first three or four seasons, but I think their story, like the whole show, has run its course. Outside them having the kids they fought over so much or splitting up there's just nowhere to go. And everyone seems very...low energy in their scenes.

Nell also needs to go away.  With her crappy fringe (bangs), the baby-doll dresses, and the baby voice, she is unbearable and utterly unconvincing as a person of authority.

(Since the actors playing Kensi and Deeks are in-laws I'm actually relieved they don't have too much sexual chemistry.)
