 Given we were supposed to notice someone had changed their floorboards based on a picture we saw once in Season 2, I don't think the writers want to spoofeed us.  But point taken.  I still think it is an odd term for outside.  If I said "pick that off the ground" I would picture outside or maybe a garage.

You know, at least with the Danny murder, there were a few people who didn't act super suspicious, so you could look at them as the possible murderer. This season, pretty much everyone they meet acts like they've got a dark secret, so I have no clue who to look at twice!

I also loved Ellie's laugh after Hardy's curt "No."

I love the Miller-Hardy banter about food. When they visited the caterer and he asked if they wanted anything, Ellie lit up and got all excited for food and Hardy just shuts him down with a firm "no".

Good point. With Danny, I thought it was who it was from jump - partly because said person wasn't considered at all. And partly because I didn't think said person seemed upset enough about it. But yea, this time, they're all a bunch of dodgy bastards. The only people we're NOT really looking at are the cops and the kids.

I'm currently watching this on BBC, and after reading these comments I feel like the BBC version cuts some scenes from the version you all watched in March.  I don't recall seeing an interview with someone who drank until he blacked out and lied about it in a police interview, and I know for a fact that there was no Ellie-passing-a-dog-walker-at-night scene in the ep I watched. 

Does anyone know - does BBC make cuts?

Hmmmm, I watched on BBC America. Not back in March. It just aired last week. I saw both of those scenes.  Is this through your cable provider or a streaming app or what?

I was looking at the kids! My initial reaction upon watching episode 1 was that there is a connection between Tom's porn and Trish's rape - although I did not think Tom was directly involved. It seems as though a few other people have commented on this coincidence as well, so I can't be the only one.

Although I have seen the entire series, so I won't comment further on whether or not this is relevant, or just fitting with the theme of the series.

And I have nothing to say about the cops - although if the new female cop was a man, I probably would have suspected him as well!

That Tommy gives me the creeps. He reminds me of vintage Justin Beiber, which IMO, is NOT a good thing. LOL Poor Ellie.

That's where they'll get us, if that's the case.  Ellie will suddenly discover something that causes her to believe Trish was raped elsewhere, and then Hardy will say, yes, he's been thinking about that for several days.  That's kind of been the pattern.

I liked the scene at the pier? where Beth and Mark talk about what Mark is doing. I can understand both points of view, but Beth is right that Mark is missing out on time with his other kids.

I would be totally creeped out if someone left flowers in the middle of the night on my doorstep.

I feel like the episodes will pick up the pace alittle now, this one seemed to move fast.

So Mark brings a lawyer to the house to discuss reopening the case against Joe without prewarning his wife and daughter about it? WTF is wrong with these people? God, I'm so over the Lattimers.

I didn't know there was a third series so I'm working it through on the plane. I'm assuming that the porn the kids are watching is the actual assault and we'll be a huge reveal. 

I thought Ed left the flowers. Dumb move, but I think he actually meant well.
