Rub is a weird one for me. When I first devoured the entire series in the course of a few weeks, Rub was one of my very, very favorites (as in, like, top 3-4 of the series!), so in some ways I'll always love it. And the Paris/Rory/Jess scenes remain a hugely rewind-worthy treat for me. But the Emily-Lorelai stuff loses some of its power to engage me (and gains power to annoy me!) now that we know just how many times they did that same 'one step forward, three steps back' dance throughout the series, and I really loathe Dean in this one...even more than usual :)

I have the same love/hate relationship with TTR, and for all the same reasons.  If I could pull out the parts that I really, really love and just ignore the rest, it would easily be in my top ten.
