After the body of young woman is found with multiple gunshot wounds, Intelligence uncovers details of her case that are similar to other deaths. They work to link all of these murders together to pin down the serial killer, and appease the families of the victims who have been looking for answers. Meanwhile, Lindsay decides to meet her biological father for the first time, and Voight welcomes Kenny Rixton to the team when Ruzek takes an undercover assignment.

They won't go there with the promos as long as SVU still airs, or will they? But it leaves an out if they end the series with Sergeant Voight finally being brought to justice

The case was okay for me. But this episode was too Burgess heavy, she bugs the hell out of me, not sure why, but always has!

I don't see newby Officer Rixton lasting too long. 

Loved Olinsky in this episode (oh, heck, always love Olinsky) and Trudy--please Dick Wolf have a series just about them. Burgess was annoying but I liked her handling of the people behind the police tape in the first scene.

Raise your hand if you thought like I did that Lindsey's father was the rapist/murderer. And I am continue to be amazed at Markie Post in this show--she is just so good, she can be in the Olinsky Trudy spinoff. Sure, we're buying a salon for Bunny, says Lindsey's father, and Bunny averts her eyes from Lindsey's.

So does this mean, Rusak is gone?. Or are they just introducing Rixton because he's the tie in for the new show, Chicago Law (whatever the name is)?

Chicago Justice (which will tie in to the L&O universe as one of the attorneys there will be the son of Ben Stone).

Rixton is like 1000 times better than Ruzek, it seems.  Can we keep him?

Can we please send Lindsay on an Undercover assignment like Ruzek is on? That would be great & she can take her miserable family drama with her. Would also be nice to see Halstead do something with his time other than fap about over Lindsay. I hope he didn't use CPD time/resources for all his extra little side jobs...you know especially since they were trying to find a serial killer, but no you just worry about your girlfriend. At least try and be professional.

 

Bring back Ruzek, at least he is entertaining and brings some much needed humour to the show, it was kinda depressing without him.

He might be better than Ruzek but I can't help feeling that him being in the same room with Burgess will sooner or later end in the usual stupidity. (Nope, not trusting the writers here.)

We haven't seen Virginia before, they just handled the scene as if we're supposed to know her as good as Jay did. Probably because they are about to give her semi-regular status which is fine by me - I liked her and she might be able to fill the Mouse-shaped hole I'm dealing with right now.

I liked the fact that you can bribe nerdy Virginia with Bit O' Honey candy bars. Thought it was cute and creative.

Did the actor playing Ruzek leave the show? Or is he working on another project like when Jesse L Martin's Detective Green went undercover while he filmed Rent on L&O Mothership?
