He never laughed gleefully while he killed someone or made jokes about it. It was something he was driven to do and not even he knew why. He often longed for his own death although he would never have committed suicide. That's what made him interesting. He was a tragic figure, but he wasn't just pure walking evil. Well Joffrey was and he was amazing Spoiler People wont admit it, but they miss Joff. Shows gone downhill without him Spoiler . Negan has only been in a few episodes. Give him time to be more fleshed out Link to comment
ganesh November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 I thought the point of the super size episode was to do just that. Sorry, but I think what we see is the extent of it. 4 Link to comment
JackONeill November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 (edited) Hopefully, TPTB won't do with Negan what they did with the Governor--go back after the fact to tell us his back story. By then, I'd become so bored with the Gov. that I wanted to get the hell down the road. And, frankly, I'm already bored with Negan. Honestly, I see no hope for the rest of this season. ganesh November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 I'd like to not see him for a while and spend more time with everyone else plotting against him. I wouldn't mind seeing Daryl/Dwight if the plot is going to be that Dwight wants to bring Daryl around to take out Negan together. 1 Link to comment
Gobi November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 I expect to see a Dwight redemption arc, culminating in his death, and probably his wife's death also. Haven't read the comics, so this is unspoiled speculation. Link to comment
SharonH58 November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 What is with the way Negan stands? is that considered 'bending over backwards'? He can't stand up straight. He is always leaning back. 1 Link to comment
Raven1707 November 22, 2016 Share November 22, 2016 The Cable Live +3 ratings are in for "Service": “The Walking Dead” trailed some of the cable news election-night coverage in the same-day ratings for the week of Nov. 7. After a few days of DVR and on-demand catchup, that’s no longer the case — not by a long shot. The AMC show grew by 2.3 points in adults 18-49 in the Live +3 ratings for the week, improving to a 7.7 rating (from 5.4). It also added 4.32 million viewers, also topping all of the prime-time election coverage. [15.718 million viewers] http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/dvr-ratings/cable-live-3-ratings-for-nov-7-13-2016/ And here are the Live + Same Day and Live +3 ratings for Season 7 so far: 10-23-16 “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be” 17.029 million; 20.793 million 10-30-16 “The Well” 12.455 million; 16.849 million 11-06-16 “The Cell” 11.721 million; 16.225 million 11-13-16 “Service” 11.402 million; 15.718 million Link to comment
halkatla November 22, 2016 Share November 22, 2016 The biggest problem with this show right now is not only that it´s been boring as hell this season, but that it´s become less believable than say Aftermath. Negan could just as well be a scary ghost at this point, he´s just that ridiculous. The groups surrender is vile. Not heartbreaking or exciting, just... wrong. It´s basically down to bad writing on the show-writers part, since the only logical steps the characters could have taken, like fighting with Negan´s crew or trying to take Negan down, would have either ended the main villain or the main crew. I don´t enjoy Negan but I don´t enjoy the other guys either. I loved Darryl and Carol but they have been ruined by this season. Carl and Judith, Rosita and the guy who didn´t trust Rick are the only ones I want to see come out alive at this point. Maybe I´ll keep hate-watching to see how stupid/boring this actually gets. I pounded the HELL out of that! BOOM! Ha ha! Lucille, were you watching? Lucille loves to watch. Don't you, Lucille? Now, don't be jealous, babe. There's room for two women in my life. Hey, speaking of two women, did I ever tell you about the time I..." Admit it - You're one of the writers, quoting from a deleted scene. 2 Link to comment
Le Renard November 26, 2016 Share November 26, 2016 This show would have been amazing if it had some kind of overarching goal or story. Discover scientists that can create a cure and help them. Find the last remnants of the government. Find a large habited city that's still functional. Find out what's happening in other parts of the country, other parts of the world. There's so many potential paths and bigger horizons that have been left unexplored. I guess the source material just doesn't have this, it's going to be same stuff over and over again. 2 Link to comment
