chitowngirl August 26, 2022 Share August 26, 2022 Dear Emily and Richard-I’m glad they had younger actors playing young Lorelei and Christopher rather than have Lauren Graham and David Sutcliffe playing half their ages. I thought the young actors captured the essence of older Lorelei and Christopher. But…Lorelei had no reason to pout that Christopher was there for Sherri and not for her for the birth of their respective children. She never gave him that chance. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/41825-season-3/page/8/#findComment-7619897

I thought the casting for that particular episode was terrible. I didn't get Lorelai or Christopher from either one of the younger actors. YMMV. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/41825-season-3/page/8/#findComment-7619916
scarynikki12 August 26, 2022 Share August 26, 2022 I think the young Lorelai did her best to channel Lauren but young Chris was playing a completely different character. We only know that Lorelai left her parents a note before going to the hospital. We know nothing about Chris. Maybe she didn't give him a single thought until he came to see Rory or maybe she tried to call him and couldn't get through. Given how Straub was I bet he cut off communication from the Gilmores and Chris only found out because Lorelai managed to get a sympathetic maid to pass along the news. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/41825-season-3/page/8/#findComment-7619973
HawkeyeLo November 20, 2024 Share November 20, 2024 Rewatching and this has always bothered me. How does the dance marathon contest work? What if both Kirk and Lorelai made it to the end of the 24-hour period? Sure, Kirk always managed to be the last one standing, but there’s no guarantee more than one person won’t make it to the end. (I say this as someone who participated in a charity dance marathon in college—no contest included—and hundreds of us made it to the end.) Also, Lorelai could’ve just danced barefoot for the last bit instead of immediately getting her heel fixed. It would probably be more comfortable than dancing 24 hours in heels. I need to stop caring about this lol. 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/41825-season-3/page/8/#findComment-8513251
chitowngirl November 20, 2024 Share November 20, 2024 I always thought it was ridiculous that she was dancing in heels at all! And there is no way that the glue would be set enough on the broken heel to be able to wear in that short a period of time… But this exchange will always be golden: Mrs. Kim: Who are you? Jess: Jess Mrs. Kim glowers. Jess (eyes lowered): M’am 3 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/41825-season-3/page/8/#findComment-8513280
andromeda331 November 21, 2024 Share November 21, 2024 Twenty-four hours dancing in heels? Yeah that's crazy. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/41825-season-3/page/8/#findComment-8513725
chessiegal November 21, 2024 Share November 21, 2024 I've always thought the dance marathon episode was an homage to the movie They Shoot Horses, Don't They? , but not so dark. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/41825-season-3/page/8/#findComment-8513872
