SharonH58 September 29, 2016 Share September 29, 2016 I am doing a rewatch and am on Season 4. I hate Audrey and never thought they were good together. Jack and Paul had more chemistry. I hated all Kim Bauer stuff. I liked the woman that Jack was living with in 5 I think. She was more of a mate for Jack (until the lady agent in Live another day) but she snotty son got on my nerves. Kiefer needs to evolve into Jack in Designated Survivor. :) Link to comment
VCRTracking November 3, 2016 Share November 3, 2016 Quote I liked the woman that Jack was living with in 5 I think. Connie Britton, from Spin City, Friday Night Lights, American Horror Story season 1 and Nashville. Probably has the best hair on TV. From The AV Club: 24’s most satisfying season is not its most celebrated I agree season 4 had a great villain in Marwan but I love a lot of the other seasons like 3, 5, and 8. Great discussion of all the seasons of the show in the comments. 1 Link to comment
TaylorTalk May 26, 2017 Share May 26, 2017 What season/episode was the one where Chloe and Jack are in an 'office' and Jack is blurbing about some sort of crisis situation and Chloe says something to the effect of "Whatever your going through in this crisis situation, if you need a friend to talk to, I'm here." Jack blurts out a confused "What?" And Chloe says "Never mind. Wait, ok, here are the nuclear codes." Link to comment
Beroglide September 21, 2017 Share September 21, 2017 (edited) I had always pictured season 6 to be about Bill Buchanan and someone going to China to break Jack out of prison, successfully doing so, and then running about a surrounding jungle fighting off enemies for survival....for 24 HOURS.... probably with Powers Booth still doing something, but still. alexvillage December 6, 2018 Share December 6, 2018 I stopped watching the show on season 4. I always liked the concept of having *real* time events, even with the absurdities of crossing LA in 10 minutes, never charging cell phones or eating... It was fun and fast. But I got tired of it. I am finishing watching season 5 now. Still fun and a new perspective of State sponsored violence, surveillance, abuses. But I came here to snark a bit. One thought: For a place supposedly gathering intelligence and fighting terrorism, CTU is amazingly easy to be infiltrated and to produce traitors. Link to comment
marinw April 6, 2020 Share April 6, 2020 Some sad news about Kiefer's Mom: https://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainment/shirley-douglas-dies-at-86-1.5522758 Link to comment
luckyroll3 August 19, 2020 Share August 19, 2020 Just started a rewatch over the weekend. How could I forget how insufferable Kim was?!?!? The mom too, but at least we weren't plagued with her for several more seasons. Just made it to Season 2 and I can't wait for Kim vs the Mountain Lion. 1 Link to comment

blackwing January 30, 2023 Share January 30, 2023 Annie Wersching has died. So sad, she was only 45. Apparently she had cancer. I loved her as Renee Walker. I always found Renee’s death to be one of the more tragic deaths on this show. 6 Link to comment
marinw January 30, 2023 Share January 30, 2023 (edited) I was about to post this but @blackwingbeat me to it. This sucks on so many levels, Annie was one of those actresses who never became suoper famous but worked for decades on too many TV shows to mention. To me she will always be Renee. krankydoodle July 10 Share July 10 I put the first episode of season 5 on just to have something on in the background and darned if I didn't get sucked in and rewatch the whole season over a few days. The twists and turns it takes are just so compelling. A lot of the subplots in other seasons weren't nearly as interesting as whatever Jack was doing, but this one is firing on all cylinders with the turmoil at CTU and at the president's retreat. And Gregory Itzin's Charles Logan is such a great villain. He's hateable but his flailing and attempts to offload important decisions on other people are both pathetic and kind of funny. I also appreciate that he seems to love his wife in his own twisted way. Speaking of, Jean Smart is also amazing in this and I liked the brewing relationship between her and Aaron Pierce, though I seem to remember that getting ruined in a later season. I also like the pairing of Karen Hayes and Bill Buchanan, though that also didn't last very long IIRC. 1 Link to comment

Spoiler They get married by the start of Season Six! Season Five is one of the best Seasons of TV of all time! If I may ask, where is 24 Streaming? Or were you watching a DVD/Blu ray? krankydoodle July 10 Share July 10 I watched on Hulu in the US. I have the ad-supported plan and the breaks are where they were in the original broadcast, but the commercials seem longer than they are on other streaming services (about 1min30 for each break). Although maybe that's become standard now and I just haven't noticed. 1 Link to comment
marinw July 10 Share July 10 (edited) Thank you!! I’m Canadian, I don’t have Hulu but the show is on Disney. Im afraid to start watching because I won’t be able to stop. Edited July 11 by marinw 1 Link to comment
