Setting aside his sexual misconduct he isn't a likable person.  He doesn't have a personality that makes people want to listen to what he has to say.

I completely agree, bluegirl.  Even if he was a likable guy, there's nothing about him that stands out to where there's nothing to gain giving him a spot on television.  He would sound no different than the people ESPN and FOX employ.

It's just that TPTB tend to add people more often than necessary, and too much of a thing is anything but a good thing

Maybe he'll find work on television now that his career is over.

I'm kidding (but I still would not be shocked if ESPN & Fox Sports put the guy on their network)!

If you've seen any of DeShaun's postgame press conferences, you'd realize that is a non-starter.  He's not well spoken or articulate.  Worse than that, he shows little understanding or insight into the game.  Every press conference seemed to focus on all the things OTHER people did or failed to do that prevented the Browns from winning.  Very little of his time was spent honestly analyzing his own performance and ways he could improve.  If he's that clueless about his own game, I don't see him being able to analyze anyone else's.

He's very sullen, makes no attempt to connect with his teammates, and seems to disdain the fans.

Even if he had no allegations against him, he wouldn't make a good analyst.  Bill Bellicheck iss less taciturn and has more to say than Deshawn.

I know I mentioned this before but it's relevant here.  When the Browns played LA in LA and Watson was injured he sat in a box with his girlfriend.  You make the cross country trip and you aren't on the sidelines with your team?

So Aaron Rodger's strategy.    Bet it doesn't stop Rodgers from having a post NFL broadcast career.

He might try but I don't how successful he will be. I think he would have a hard time sticking to just the topic of football. He seems to fancy himself a know it all about a lot of things and when people tune into football they want to hear about football.

I would much preferred that Aaron Rodgers just shut up, go away, & stay away. I don't even want him around when the Hall of Fame comes calling for him.

As for today's games, I'm certain that Taylor Swift will show her face at the game today. Maybe, Caitlin Clark might come back today to hang out with Taylor again. Yay. 😒

Also, I'm wondering how the Bills very very crappy defense, their kicker, or Josh Allen himself will find a way to piss the game away today like the last few times the Chiefs - Bills met in the Playoffs. Maybe, they'll smarten up for once & find a way to win today. BTW, that regular season win from the Bills means flat out nothing today. I'm figuring that this may the Bills last chance to get over the hump.

As for that other game, I'll give the Commanders a good 50/50 chance to win today. That game can can go either way. I can't imagine who Jerry Jones & Stephen Jones are rooting for today while both of these losers are crying in the corner somewhere.

Since the Eagles fan party hard after a big win, I wouldn't mind seeing more of their antics if they win. More fun & exciting than the Chiefs fan when they have a big win.

Magog, The Jones Family is rooting for the same people the Snyder Family is rooting for.  I guess both will get their wishes no later than 2 weeks from tomorrow.

I remember when the NFL used to be about the actual sport that happened to be on television.  As opposed to a gridiron version of Growing Pains and a more modern & unique version of Just The Ten Of Us or Coach.

I have no idea how the games are going to go.  Especially the second one.  The first one I feel like the home team will persevere.  However, outside of one team playing some hot football, Washington does have the head coach advantage.  I'll get the 28-3 thing out of the way: If Philadelphia is trailing by 25 at any point in the game, really for a second as late as midway through the 3rd quarter, we're either getting a new Super Bowl matchup or one that occurred 33 years ago.

Of course, if Washington were ever fortunate enough to lead 28-3 against the Chiefs, I think I know how that story ends.

All due respect, I'd prefer any outcome other than Kansas City beating the Eagles again.  We just saw that.  Sure the NBA had the same 2 teams four years in a row, but this is the National Football League.  It's really not meant to be that way.  The annoying thing is Kansas City will win 4 titles in a short period but against the same 2 teams.  I'd have preferred something different like Detroit or the Commanders, but no thanks to the latter, they may have wrecked those plans.

Or maybe not, which would validate Jaden Daniels having the best rookie season ever.  Some would argue Big Ben's was better.  He won one fewer game because Pittsburgh was good enough to bypass the opening round.  I agree with several that Daniels is better.  Ben had stable ownership and a decent roster.  Without Jaden, the Commanders aren't going anywhere.

All due respect, I do have to say I'd prefer Eagles/KC over Washington/Buffalo regardless of everything, unless the Bills actually beat the NFC winner from the East.  If Buffalo loses a 5th Super Bowl, I'd be okay with it but only if it were against Philadelphia.

It was.  Not 100%, the Special Teams sucked badly that game.

I don't think I've said so yet, but the officiating in this game was definitely horrible.  No joke there, but as you mentioned, not 100% ref-aided.  For me, not even close at all.  Maybe 60 to 75 percent tops.  The problem I had with Houston was that the AFC South champions were a rather bad football team.  Especially down the stretch.  Special teams was a nightmare, but I expected the Texans to score more.  At least you'd have an argument.  Or not, since Houston may have won the game outright.  This is a team that could only muster 2 points at home in a December football game.

The refs & officiating sucked overall, but the Texans were destined to lose the game anyway.  There was nothing about the 2 teams that had me saying this was the Texans game to lose.  After all they fired their OC.  Feels like a scapegoat move, especially if they thought they were playing EVERYBODY for the right to go to their first AFC Championship game.

18 plays in and Brady has turned the irritating up to max levels.  “They converted all those fourth downs, why are they kicking a field goal?”  Well they weren’t in field goal range before.  Take the points, dummy.

I just blew out a vocal cord yelling “NOOOOOOOOOOO” at the teevee as Washington’s defense then absolutely fucking failed to do their jobs.

That whole “Washington if you jump offsides ONE MORE TIME I swear I will turn this car around” would have made me laugh so hard if I weren’t quietly sobbing into my dinner.

This is at least the third thing I have seen for the first time this year.  There was that free kick in LA and the 2 pt TD run back from a blocked FG.

Yep.  That's who.

There were only 2 football games to choose from, so for one to get a decent value, they'd either have to bet against the spread or the over/under...

...or pick something from somewhere else in sports.  Many people that "gamble" pick a bunch of stuff throughout the world of sports.

It is random, but those games above pale in comparison to what I've seen since whenever

I didn't watch because I knew Brady would be calling the game.  While I'm not surprised the Commanders lost, I'm sorry they got thumped like that. Anyway, they had an unexpectedly great run (and Snyder's gone!) and I'm looking forward to next season.

Yeah, despite the outcome (and if Washington would've lost by 1 or 7) it was still a very good run.  Many teams like Cleveland, the Jets, Raiders (and based on better expectations, Dallas & Pittsburgh) go season-to-season being bad.

While improvements for the Commanders were expected, nobody saw this.  Plus, Daniels is complimentary for the next couple of years, and the team is slated to get much better real soon.  If all goes well, you'll be kings of the NFC East and maybe pummel Philadelphia in the years to come

Despite the rout, I think the AFC winner will regain its spot as the favorite to win the Super Bowl in New Orleans.  Or not, as the Eagles are a complete team.  However, they're facing a team that has people that can run over them, or the other team that is good enough to force a mistake.

Of course, if something happens to someone on the winning team late enough, that may change things.  That I definitely do not need to see.

Personally, I wouldn't be too surprised if it's a pick EM.  I'll have the opening line on here sometime tonight or on Monday to see if it's a true coin flip between Kansas City and Philadelphia, if applicable.

BTW, I do not gamble.  FYI.  The stuff mentioned is for fun.  I don't need $8000.  Of course I'd take it but it's not something I'm begging for.  I earn by working hard and doing it "the right way".

Guess I'm glad it's available but not a career path for me

But, as the great philosopher Fast Eddie Felson once said, "Money won is twice as sweet as money earned."

I remember all 3 of those shows. Especially the middle one (Just The Ten Of Us).

Well, we're now in the 4th Quarter & in a surprise to nobody, its a very close game (Bills 22 - Chiefs 21). Gee, I'm wondering how the Bills crummy defense, their kicker, and/or Josh Allen Allen will find a way to mess up this opportunity this time around.
