Taylor is lucky he has Burrow Chase and Higgins.  Without them he probably would have been fired a few years ago. He is not one of those coaches who makes a team better. He is one of those coaches who's team makes me him look good.  Or at least not bad.

Taylor is under contract.  So unless they give him the Marvin Lewis treatment, they'll wait until it ends before moving on.  Speaking of Lewis, while he didn't win any big games as the HC, he never had Burrow & Chase.  They probably would've been a 14-15 win team since Marvin is one of the best defensive minds in the sport

 I think the bigger question is how the GM survived? After all he's the one who paid Jones and let Saquon wal, not Daboll.

In the offseason when Daboll was hired, I remember being certain that the Giants job was by far the worst open coaching position of that offseason, as the roster and team structure was so far away from being competitive. And then they had that surprising playoff season right off the bat. Which was fun for their fans I'm sure but perhaps it was the worst possible thing that could have happened to the Giants as it led them to extend Daniel Jones and treat him like an actual franchise QB when by now we can all agree that he was not and he was never going to be one. 

Just looking from the outside, I still think Daboll is a good coach, and that the organization screwed him more than vice versa. I could be wrong, though. Were I the Patriots and if he were available, I'd certainly at least interview him.

Before speculating & assuming the GM's fate, no changes there in Las Vegas.  A reversal for the off-season change in Tennessee.

I never understood firing a coach after one season. There should be some consistency to building trust among the players, and firing a coach every one to two years isn’t going to build greatness. So annoying.

That makes sense.  Must have been despised by so many that you'd hear someone say they hated him since 1976 if not before.

While being 4-13 with no signs of what you'd do to be better going forward is plenty to kick him out, I wouldn't be surprised if someone said he was fired to avenge McDaniels with that 18-1 dialogue when he was still an assistant

They did the same for LeBron.  Of course at the time both the Cavs & Browns sucked, so it was easier to be proud of the new shiny bright thing.
