OH No! KC has a fighting pose going on which obviously means she's still BC which means LL probably isn't the one that dies!!!

I am enjoying the fact that it's a bad fighting pose. Her one arm way behind her is super high (you can just see it over the top of her head) and her balance looks terrible.

Interesting! I'm actually confused by GS's stance on the show because she's said a few times that she doesn't watch it. But I've also seen tweets of hers saying she hates what they did with BC which is not surprising considering she's a BC expert. I need that Oprah gif that says 'So what is the truth?' LOL.

I follow her, and she's been doing this really weird/funny thing for about a week involving Colossus being made/not made of adamantium, and King Shark being... a shark. It's like performance art. I think the expert thing is about that.

 

The BoP thing seems a bit more sincere. To be fair, KC and Guggie have taught us that one need not watch Arrow to write/produce/perform in Arrow.

Yeah I'm rolling my eyes at that total and utter BS. Either all her protestations of never watching are a lie or she's suddenly claiming to be an expert without ever having watched an ep. Who knows maybe she was inspired recently and binged. 

 

Whichever it is, I'm sticking with my original thanks but no thanks on that one

Didn't Gail Simone also say something about wanting to write Black Canary for television in such a way that suggests she absolutely hates how BC is portrayed on TV right now?

I think she actually watches. Or watches more than she lets on. She's had some interesting back and forths with Lexi Alexander about the show. I always thought she just said she doesn't watch so she's not constantly bothered by fans who want her to either support BC/LL or criticize BC/LL.

KC's stance is always bad. When they let her be in the scene with CL she left her entire body open for an attack. Sara could've destroyed her if she wasn't most likely thinking what she should get for lunch in during that. 

 

I think GS wanted more attention, she knew mentioning Arrow would get her that attention. She doesn't think the Black Canary on Arrow is the Black Canary but yet she wants to write a BOP episode? Of which Arrow already had an episode titled that. That shows how much of an Arrow expert she is. If she had watched it she should've said I want to write an actual BOP episode of Arrow.

To be fair if they wanted a good and accurate Black Canary they probably should have consulted with GS because she has written her comics for years and knows the character well. Maybe she thinks she should have been asked and wasn't? Who knows?!

To direct questions GS has always answered she has never watched Arrow and seems to troll when she says "I'm an expert on Arrow" that she says quite a lot.

It seems to me she name drops the show when she wants a bit of attention then when fans ask about the show she says she knows nothing about it.

They should take her up on it, if only because I assume whatever she writes would be a million times better than whatever Marc could give us.

I also don't think she'd have to be an expert on the show to wrote a good episode either. She would just need to know the story and watch a few episodes to get a grasp on the characters and have someone help her with continuity.

The best Greg Berlanti can do is hire her to write an episode of E2 Black Canary/BoP which has a different actress playing BC. Which I highly, highly doubt. 

 

I don't know what asking Gail Simone to

save Laurel Lance will do tbh and the scenes have already been filmed and the show has moved onto episode 20, so I doubt the show will re-write the plot in regards to who dies....

I legit think it doesn't mean anything. She does this regularly -- probably when her mentions are flooded with Arrow noise. She goes on rando shit tweet spurts about the X-Men just the same.

She doesn't. It's one of her default anwers, to say she's an expert, whenever someone asks her about Arrow. It's a schtick, and then people fall for it, bc they're probably not accostumed to her weird oddball humor.

I do have to say, it seems that whatever category you put as retweets is likely to do better, bc it reaches a wider audience of similarly-minded people. I retweet it bc I like Olicity, and most of my followers are likely either to be neutral or to like it too, so more people who like it see it. Whereas likes don't get disseminated.

Oh yeah, it seems entirely uncontroversial to say Olicity is much much more popular. I personally think networks and studios are not stupid. They moved away from Lauriver for a reason, and it's likely based on data and evidence...at the end of the day they're in it to make money. I'm just saying separately that those kinds of polls are a bit biased.

I know we have to be careful with spoilers but this sorta feels like the 320 love scene where there was no way to avoid it if you were on social media.

That being said, I think the writers room is starting to lose it. I agree with whoever said there is something in the water.

They wanted to make sure people came back and they want people to continue to talk about the ship and know that 4x15 wasn't the end of them. So they tweet and they get into it to get the fandom talking about how much they love them again instead of how much Oliver is a lying liar who lies who doesn't deserve Felicity.

What the hell is going on?!?! Writers shouting out their love for Olicity (is there some kind of hazing going on?!? Office pool, maybe?!?). EBR & SA have tweeted each other more in the past 2 weeks when compared with the past 2 years. As someone upthread said, I'd love to know about the BTS going on right now! Oh to be a fly on the wall.

I am, honestly, contemplating signing up and joining Twitter because I have no idea what the heck is going on. Thank goodness for this thread. At least, I'm able to follow some of what's happening.

 

It's either some people in the writer's room are ridiculously happy about certain events that will be happening on the show

or certain people leaving it

. Or they've absolutely lost it for some reason or another. Or, maybe, they're just genuinely curious and want to sort of gauge reactions for upcoming events? This is making me so, so curious about the BTS stuff. And it's really instensifying my secret wish that someone releases a tell-all book about Arrow sometime in the future. Lol.
