opus August 25, 2014 Author Share August 25, 2014 (edited) Since I've been waiting since June 25, I would say you're right. (The show gets about 800,000 viewers. Relatively low, but I thought a FEW might be here.) Edited August 25, 2014 by GaryE 1 Link to comment
Katmai August 25, 2014 Share August 25, 2014 I typically have Conan on while I'm on my computer. If he has an awesome guest, like I thought Duane Johnson (The Rock) was, I stop what I'm doing and watch. I ended up recording the Scapisode but haven't watched it yet, but I will. It looked pretty funny from what little I caught. 1 Link to comment
KAOS Agent August 25, 2014 Share August 25, 2014 I tend not to watch when it's airing on TV, but I usually checkout clips on Youtube. I always watch any remotes and Clueless Gamer. Unfortunately, the commercials they require me to watch before each clip have started to get off-putting. The other day they tried to make me watch a 30 second commercial before showing a 1:15 clip. I understand the need for advertising dollars, but that's ridiculous. 1 Link to comment
Athena August 25, 2014 Share August 25, 2014 Clueless gamer is one of my favourite segments too. I also like his remotes ones. I've also found the segments with is metrosexual producer amusing. Link to comment
Katmai September 4, 2014 Share September 4, 2014 I'm glad this is back from it's break. I've never seen Justin Theroux interviewed before, but I thought it was great. He bounced off of Coco and Andy quite well. In other news, former SNL'er Brooks Wheelan did his stand-up routine and he was awful. It just confirmed why he doesn't belong there. Link to comment

Katmai September 23, 2014 Share September 23, 2014 Conan is so over this show. Did I miss something by not watching last night? Sometimes he really seems over it and other times, he doesn't. I've chalked it up to the guest and if they're interesting and/or he likes them. Link to comment
tarragon918 September 25, 2014 Share September 25, 2014 I love Conan, but haven't been watching this show--it's on a bit early for me here in Mtn. time zone. I did watch the performances for this week, the George Harrison tribute, and last night's appearance by Dhani Harrison was so far the very best of them. Thank goodness for teamcoco.com, where you can watch what I assume are excerpts from the show. Link to comment

nowandlater January 23, 2015 Share January 23, 2015 Yeah, I still watch Conan. I've always watched the TBS Conan, but I'd ususally just watch for the guests. Now, I watch the monologue and comedy bits, too, which have gotten better in recent years. They're almost as good as the Late Night days. But 2 things annoy the heck out of me: 1) The beginning of the show: The crowd is way too enthusiastic. It seems like it takes forever to settle down. And Conan's signature string dancing doesn't help. I always have to fast forward to get to the meat of the monologue. 2) Conan cooing at hot women. It's just so cringe-worthy. I don't see other male hosts do this. And I don't see him do it to "ugly" women. I wish he'd stop. He's almost 52. It's time to quit it with that. 3 Link to comment

Kromm February 3, 2015 Share February 3, 2015 For example... here's an example of how ugly (and tasteless) the whole Leno Tonight Show culture was. Now, years after the whole sequence with Leno going, Conan getting the show, then Conan being ditched in favor of Leno, just to stir the pot in a new book, former Leno writer Jon Macks goes below the belt talking about Conan's... deficiencies... as a late night host (in his opinion, I guess). http://pagesix.com/2015/02/02/ex-leno-staffer-disses-conan-in-new-book/ Link to comment
Katmai February 5, 2015 Share February 5, 2015 I thought Mila Kunis looked great last night. It struck me as odd that when Conan referred to Ashton as her husband, she didn't correct him, or deny it. As far as I know, there hasn't been any official statement about them getting married, just speculation. Link to comment

Katmai March 25, 2015 Share March 25, 2015 I'm super disappointed that Incubus wasn't on tonight, even though they were listed to perform. Wonder what happened. They were the only reason I watched tonight because a little Kevin Hart goes a long way, and he's been in too much (for me) the last couple of years or so, so I had no interest in seeing him. nowandlater May 11, 2015 Share May 11, 2015 So, what happened to Conan? http://www.slate.com/articles/arts/television/2015/05/conan_o_brien_from_late_night_to_tbs_how_did_coco_fade_from_the_pop_culture.html I remember this thread on the TWOP board being so active during the Conan Tonight Show debacle. But it was deader than dead when TWoP. Now it's pretty much dead here. I still watch Conan every night, but, yeah, I could understand how people lose interest in him. His studio audience is way too overenthusiastic, though. Link to comment
HelenBaby May 11, 2015 Share May 11, 2015 I still watch it most every night. I used to watch Jon Stewart but it just got too depressing. I'm sure the closer it gets for Jon to leave, the more I'll watch. But Conan still entertains me. The Clueless Gamer thing he does is pretty hilarious. Link to comment
roseha May 12, 2015 Share May 12, 2015 I watched Conan the other week on vacation a little, and the only thing that occurs to me is that he seems to be continually dumbing himself down for his perceived audience. He's over 50 now, I don't think he needs to work at appealing to teenagers any more. He's obviously a very smart guy, so if he hates gaming, for instance, why do segments on it? Maybe if he went with his instincts more often things would improve. That said, it's also too bad he didn't stay in New York, as others have done, but maybe he should be on the lookout for more oddball guests out west. Link to comment

Actually, the Clueless Gamer segment is supposed to be "A smart guy who hates video games playing video games." I agree that Conan should start acting his age, especially with younger attractive actresses. It's cringeworthy when he purrs at somebody nearly 3 decades his junior. (2 decades his junior is okay.) But he really ought to drop that shtick. Link to comment
Fisher King May 30, 2015 Share May 30, 2015 This should probably go in the media thread - I don't know - BUT, Does anyone else remember back in the Conan "Late Night" days, Andy Richter said that he was a student in the high school where Dennis Hastert (then Speaker of the House) was a wrestling coach? With Hastert being in the news these days - especially now that there may be sexual misconduct dating back to those days - I'm wondering of the subject will be broached by Conan & Andy.
