Bodyguard should have shot Stacy when the gate opened. If you are the CIA Director, why are you afraid of being rude to Sen. Dumbass? A manhunt is going on, but you don't want to answer the phone...WTF

Stacey Dover -- she done blowed up real good !!!  </FarmFilmReport>

Who is Stacey Dover ?  Ben's sister.  (I'm here all week, try the veal).  She banged a secret service agent -- and perused his unlocked work phone (seriously ?) where she discovered the location of the safe house for her target.  That is a lot of coincidences -- that she picked up the right guy at the bar, banged him, and the guy had an unlocked work phone, and the information she was looking for would be on said unlocked phone.

Charleston Chew has the me-mes, oh noes !!!  Wow, she looks fantastic going on no sleep to meet the President.

Bit of a continuity question -- In the two hour span between 'five hours earlier' and 'three hours earlier' cards before Stacey blew herself up, Charleston had some chats with her staff, changed clothes, went to the White House to do the daily brief with POTUS, had a private meeting with POTUS post-brief, then went to Navarro's office to discuss Bellerophon and the pending release of the Kabul convoy report and arrange polygraph tests for her staff, chatted to Navarro while he was driving to the safe house, and Navarro has a little chat with his secret service detail who banged Stacey Dover -- ALL IN TWO HOURS !!!!  Are you kidding me ?

Why would a Maryland State University student be casually taking tourist photos in Arizona at the Grand Canyon during the semester (unless it was spring break) less than a week or so previously ?   How did she get there and back ?  Who paid for the trip ?  Why are none of the PDBers asking that question ?

Get the FBI to comb social media for comms by Ar Rissalah on public web sites to their sleepers -- and remember to filter out all the cat videos -- stat !!!

Where were the polygraph tests conducted ?  Because it looks like an entirely different building than the PDB offices.  And all the PDBers took turns driving over there (because they were wearing coats when they got there meaning they left the PDB building) because the rest seemed to continue to work while the polygraphs were conducted.

How did Navarro get from the safe house back to the whichever building was used to oversee the polygraph tests and then meet with Charleston Chew to discuss the results ?

Kurt's the mole.  He was trying to give Charleston Chew a chance to come clean, and was working for Kyle Green.  Hah !! That's too funny.  They let Kurt pack up his desk before leaving -- I'm surprised he isn't already in Gitmo.  But that's ok, he's got a new job with the Krieg Group.

Hold on -- Stacey Dover's target was Ray Navarro.  WTF ?  How did Charleston Chew figure out that photos of a bald eagle, a crown and the state flag of Wyoming = Ray Navarro. Has it ever been mentioned before that Navarro was from Wyoming ? And since when would a former governor of the state of Wyoming ever become the head of the CIA ?  And if she was really after Navarro, why would she detonate when she saw Kyle Green, or was seeing Navarro lurking in the bay window of the house close enough ?

I'm starting to think that the Stacey Dover op was initiated by the Krieg Group covering it's trail of involvement with Kyle Green (just a theory).

How would it make it on the news so quickly that the explosion at that house was a suicide bomber ?  There were no witnesses except Navarro.  There were 3 confirmed dead, but no mention that a sitting US senator was killed, but Ray is in the hospital and it ain't looking good.

Oh yeah, Nick met with Fattah on a plane, and Fattah killed a guy.  Big whup, no one cares, but they got a photo of the big bad guy (Sheikh Hakam).  That has to be the quietest cargo plane in history of aviation -- you could barely hear the engines for their entire conversation.  Have you ever been in a cargo plane like that -- it's deafening when they are idling on the tarmac, let alone in flight ?

They only caught 7 out of around 30 members of the Ar Rissalah American cell in a week -- and one was a pool boy (really ?).

(plot holes, plot holes, and even more plot holes)

This is why I stopped paying attention to the actual storyline of this show. There are too many things moving around and way too many coincidences. I can't even remember if we're still concerned that Nick might not have Charleston's best interests at heart. Remember that other old guy warning Charleston all the time to stay away from him? And now I guess he's an unofficial operative or something.

And I'm not sure exactly what the Senator's plot is supposed to be either. Or what the Krieg group's angle is supposed to be (other than PMC = bad).

Wait, why am I watching this show? Apparently it's just to have something on in the background and see how much of a bigger mess it's going to be. I thought 24's plots were ridiculous but this one really takes it to a new level.

Now that the cell is compromised, Omar is burned and no longer a useful long term asset. POTUS will figure out how to kill him accidentally on purpose.

I have reached the point where I can no longer even hate-watch; I just check here to see the snark.  Sigh.

Will stop watching this crap when Blacklist returns.

Sorry, paigow, Blacklist is going to Thursdays, leaving this show in its present spot. You have no excuse to not keep watching.

I watch this show only for Otto's recaps here. I have to admit, I burst out LOL at "Ben's sister," and because of that, and in your honor, Otto, I am ordering the veal.

In an explosion like that, there's a body to cover up with a tarp?

What happened to Nestor? I was watching Sleepy Hollow during the commercial and turned back late. I was really liking him standing up to the senator woman, that was a good convo.

I wish the First Husband would have been in that bomb blast. POTUS needs a d-i-v-o-r-c-e, pronto.

Why did the big terror guy kill the younger terror guy on the plane?

Nestor is in critical condition..with an impressively large piece of window glass piercing his abdomen.

Because big guy was proving his loyalty to the CIA by getting the master list of USA cell members from little guy.

Thanks paigow. I hope Nestor makes it. His character was just getting interesting. Impaled with a large piece of glass makes me think Walking Dead.

Hey, nothing like proving your loyalty by killing someone!

I know this is not the best show ever, but I really liked this episode. A lot of things I understood (and cared about) happened.

Glad you liked it... Not sure if Otto is hate - recapping... would be interesting to hear your more detailed opinion.

Me too. With the sleeper cells, etc. this show is NOT 24 level yet, but it's finally holding my attention. I still have no idea how Charlie has the authority to initiate a code that could launch another attack with absolutely no oversight or discussion with anyone other than Nick, but I don't look too close at the story any more.

Total side-note, but Charlie's clothes were AWESOME last episode. Loved the suit she wore to the briefing and the black pants suit she was wearing around the office.

ITA. For me, the most egregious hole was that Stacey Dover somehow knew who to sleep with to get Navarro's location and Navarro's bodyguard(?) didn't have a password on his phone. That's pretty much standard procedure for most corporate work phones, let alone one related to the CIA. Also, I would think the address of a CIA safe house would be coded in any emails.

The polygraphs all took place at the safe house. Charleston came over to the safe house, presumably to do her polygraph last and then discuss the other results with Navarro.

Ha, I think Chuckles mentioned this in horror when finding out Navarro would be the new director.

My phone's PW comes on in seconds, no way she would've gotten that info, but we digress... ;)

Guess ya never watched 24, eh? At least this show doesn't (yet) use "whatever" technology...

Otto's recaps rock!

Even with all of the implausible aspects of the show, I did enjoy last week's episode and feel that the series has gotten stronger as it's gone along.  Sure some of the mechanics and logistical issues are a bit much but, OTOH, the show last week did cover ground that could be "ripped from the headlines" .  Sleeper cells of disaffected young people susceptible to social media and propaganda?  ISIS anyone? A highly placed "terrorist" actually a CIA asset?  It could happen (and possibly has).  All in all, I choose to downplay the more over the top faults and just go with the story lines that are increasingly getting closer to the edges of our current realities.
