Tara Ariano January 13, 2015 Share January 13, 2015 In the Season 2 premiere, Ilana looks for a gift for Lincoln, while Abbi tries to find an air conditioner for her bedroom. Link to comment
Primetimer January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 It may be brisk in New York now, but Broad City's season premiere is riddled with reasons you should NEVER go there in the summer, and we're counting them down. Read the story Link to comment
arc January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 (edited) Oh god. I'm in SF right now, we had a cool summer and now a fairly cold (for SF) winter and this ep still made me 100% hate summer. (that said, and even though I totally believe you, Tara, I'm planning to visit NYC next year for DCM. I'll probably die from the heat.) The first BB&B handshake was gloriously funny, and then that there was a second one and it was completely different was even better. Edited January 15, 2015 by arc 1 Link to comment
EdnasEdibles January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 I loved all of this. I loved Male Stacy. I loved that she raped male Stacy and almost raped a 16 year old. In fact, I loved Illana's endless nonsensical talk about rape culture. I loved all of the paper towels that came out of Male Stacy's ass. I love how Abbi screams at people (or cats) when she gets high. Link to comment
halgia January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 Loved how pumped Lincoln was to get the stolen meal card. This show is amazing. Link to comment
Lone Wolf January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 The opening sequence when they were moving through the train was classic funny - humor coming from an element of truth - OTT depiction of what NYC subways are like. Abbi's Oprah tramp stamp was funny, but Ilana's lipstick was freaking me out. Great first ep of the new season. I'm glad we're back. 2 Link to comment
Kat January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 The ass-crack papertowels! Oh, this show is so brilliant. Link to comment
possibilities January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 So funny! But any sentient person would know not to leave an air conditioner unattended on the street. I loved the interpretation of "broke ass to match." Really, I loved everything. This might be my favorite episode so far. Link to comment
cyberfruit January 15, 2015 Share January 15, 2015 I thought the rape joke was pretty gross and the way they wrote it wasn't subversive at all. Weather that's too hot and humid to have sex in is real (believe me, it is), but Ilana joking about Abbi finishing after Stacey passed out was in poor taste. Abbi accidentally kissing a 16 year old was pretty squicky, as well. The best part of the episode was seeing finally in her happy place, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and it was beautiful. I also continue to envy how effortless Ilana's style is. 4 Link to comment
Mozelle January 16, 2015 Share January 16, 2015 Yeah, I wasn't feeling the rape jokes, but the other stuff had me laughing out loud multiple times, Like, I legit nearly hurt myself when, after Amazing Race audition dude asked for either women to be his partner because his mom pulled out, Abby said, "Your dad should have pulled out." (Man, I'm laughing now just recalling it.) When Male Stacy pulled out the many wads of soaked butt crack paper towels then asked Abby if she recycled? What?! What is life? Lastly, that Abby had all the 411 on Lincoln (because of his blog "Al Dente Dentist"...hee!) while Ilana was clueless was another great moment. 2 Link to comment

If you haven't already checked out Lincoln's blog, it's totally worth it just for his description of lasagna as the birthday cake of pasta. 3 Link to comment
