I have been visiting here and catching up but not posting much.

in October, I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. The doctors believe it was caught early and is stage one. I will be having laparascopic/robotic surgery on Thursday (there was an opening). Won’t know the full results of the pathology or if I will need any additional treatment - until mid to late January (about 4 weeks after the procedure. Hopefully the bleeding will stop and I can be back to being me again. As a PSA, do keep an eye on any weird bleeding and get it checked out.

The procedure was yesterday just before 10 am and I woke up around 11:45 am. Was released after 5 pm. Laparascopic/robot. 5 small incisions. Very little pain. No more cramps, not much bleeding, no more hip/pelvic pain. So far, so good. Not hugely active but trying to be up and about. And hungry!

I'm so happy you're pain has decreased.  It sounds like your surgery was a success, early days, I know.  Here's deeply hoping you continue to heal quickly and with as little discomfort as possible.

Thanks so much for letting us know.

I still need to wait for the pathology results in about 3-4 weeks to see if any other treatment will be needed.

Really glad to hear the surgery was a success and you're feeling less pain.  I'm  sending you all my hopes that they successfully got it all and any further treatment will be minimal.  Please let us know whatever you feel comfortable sharing.

For those struggling through this season, feel free to block out the music, the shopping and the stresses and just treat yourself well. It's okay if you can't do the holiday stuff. You do you. Take it easy, watch something that makes you laugh, eat something tasty. And never let others diminish your sense of worth. You're great.

The pathology report came back and I heard from the doctor today. I will need some additional treatment. The docs are suspicious about one of my lymph nodes and I will be doing 6 chemo sessions - one every 3 weeks and possibly some radiation to kill any remaining cells. Not the best news but something I can deal with.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've got more on your plate.  It sounds like you have a good team of doctors.  We all wish you the very best and as DaphneCat said, we're here for you in whatever way we can help, only wish it could be more.
