Icy Squares are the best! I got them on sale and swore I wouldn't touch them, but, well - you know. Damned things melt in your mouth.

ETA:

The black squirrels in our backyard are the size of a cat

Squirrels here are black too, and so feisty they chase off all the gray ones. The ones I saw today actually have fat rolls on them!

I shouldn't have visited this thread tonight. I really, REALLY want Icy Squares now   :-(   I also want to see Eddie Izzard. especially if he is back to his "cake or death", executive transvestite glory!

I also want The Girl With All the Gifts. This Christmas is going to be nothing but books...and I have no more room on my shelves...

I know, I know...first world problems! :D

I DEMAND ICY SQUARES NOW! I have absolutely no idea what this is but it must be chocolate crystal meth.

Ski hair is that extreme slicked back pony tail that doesn't move. Generally you would be anorexic so that your vestly ensemble doesn't make you look fat, and you have very stylish earmuffs or headband thingy to keep your ears warm. And you ski in model poses. (I've never skiied in my life)

If Eddie Izzard has a Q&A I'm there! Think of good questions. I hate to be that idiot that just says "remember that one time you said Cake or Death? Do it again" I want to blow his mind. :D

They're just as addictive! Cool, creamy, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate but it seems you can only get them here in Canada. Sorry about that.:(

ETA: Don't know where else to put this, but has everyone seen the crazy bitch who bit Norman Reedus at some convention??

Here she is:

Who says that being rich and incredibly popular doesn't have its drawbacks?

Fear not, United States citizens. The company that makes Icy Squares sells them in the United States under the name Ice Cubes. I've been enjoying them since I was a child in the 70's. You can usually find them on the counter at stores like 7-Eleven, drug stores and many gas station convenience stores.

Ooooh stuff going down in Canadia! We had another accident in front of my building, thankfully, they did not come through the building this time.

I also re-watched Star Wars and hoo boy it's been a long time since I've seen it and it made me laugh, some of it is so bad. Luke just met Obi Wan Kenobi (like a day?) and he's all sad but Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen raised him and he got over that real quick. I shall be watching Empire tomorrow. And I doubt I want to do the 1,2,3 after that and yes that's the order I watch them in! >:(  The things I remembered most were C-3PO and R2 bickering and the trash compactor. I don't think I cared about light saber fights and whatnot. Harrison Ford talks like he's drunk the whole time. SPOILER ALERT He didn't even kill Obi Wan Kenobi he just went poof! The fight was so lame compared to stuff they did later.

I shall see the War of the Stars tomorrow. Eddie Izzard was fabulous. The venue was weird. I got there much too early because I feared not being able to find it. So I had to stand in the cold til they opened the doors. Then they made us stand another half hour til they let is take our seats. Luckily I'm poor and had to sit in the balcony because the lower level has no aisles! Wtf? Just 50 some seats across that you have up make everyone get up and move if you're in the middle. He did do the Q & A afterwards, I couldn't see him but I could hear him. One guy asked what he runs marathons in and his answer was "clothes"

So my paycheque was E- transferred to me on Tuesday and here it is Saturday, and I have not yet been able to access it because my bank is having tech issues with iPhones/iPads. The workarounds are 1) install the bank's mobile app or 2) use a PC. 1) I installed the app months ago and then uninstalled it because it was so buggy. That app is coming nowhere near my iPad. 2) I do not have a PC. The rep suggested I go to my nearest branch and use a PC there. I pointed out my reality to her. It's Saturday, I work a half day and have an appointment at 3.30 to get my hair done. I am taking a 14 month old to my appointment because her Mom can't get out of work before we close so she's meeting me at the salon to retrieve her daughter. Do I sound like someone with time to go to my bank branch? Luckily I'm having dinner with friends tonight and they have a PC. Downside: the last time I tried to check my email at their place Outlook drove me nuts with security verifications. I am not a happy camper. Merry Christmas to you too RBC.

I really happy to be going visiting I just wish they lived closer. Washed the dog today, it'll be her first trip down the mountain with us. Im already tired.

Ok, so you see the new Star Wars movie and, of course, you go home to dream Jedi dreams, right? So what's my job in the Jedi universe? They told me go get some pears and make yogurt parfaits.     >:(    Pears suck! And it wasn't even like training or anything wasn't chopping with my light saber or anything. Just stupid fruit for stupid Jedi's (jedii?)

So I told my boss about my pay being stuck in RBC/Interac purgatory and she said "but I just sent your bonus. You can't get that either?" Well crap, I thought, and choked down my antipathy to the RBC mobile app. I downloaded that sucker and retrieved my money. Then I went to clear my Visa balance before the Christmas purchases hit. The app couldn't do it, inviting me to try again later. Royal Bank of Canada, I still hate your cursed app and will uninstall that useless POS the minute those Interac issues are resolved.

Oh dear that sucks out loud. I have the RBC app on my phone and it works just fine. It's a Sony experia though. Wonder why RBC hates Apple. They're the biggest bank here, you'd think they'd get their shit together.

Apparently it has to do with the iOS 9.2 update. I hadn't actually installed the update when I ran into trouble but I have now. If I have the trouble, I might as well have the cause too! The RBC app has lousy reviews on the App Store. I was surprised too. I've used their online banking for years without any trouble so their tech department clearly has a clue.

Well, if nothing else, RBC is popular with scammers. I regularly get emails like this. All I have to do to "unlock" my account is give them my PIN/Account/CC numbers. Simple, although I have no account with RBC.

Eeeek! Earthquake is scary even if it's small one.

I will not be sad to see 2015 end. It's been a terrible year for me financially. Putting a new roof on my house and other crap I couldn't afford and learning I shall never earn any more at my current job and looking for other jobs that might pay more and not finding it here, takes its toll. Just another brick in the wall. Hopefully 2016 brings us all health, wealth and happy happy joy joy.
