Maherjunkie 1,085 October 30, 2014 I thought this would be a place where we could post schedules of what other channels have to offer in the way of reruns in light of GG withdrawal during the Yuletide season. I also tweeting and Facebooking to the Hallmark channel regarding their decision. Here is a link:https://www.facebook.com/hallmarkchannel and #BringBackGoldenGirls. To me it will be the equivalent of getting a gift I don't have to bury in the backyard. 2 Share this post Link to post
Maherjunkie 1,085 October 31, 2014 The Logo channel is our only friend this weekend. http://www.logotv.com/schedule/?day=11%2F01%2F14 1 Share this post Link to post
CousinOliver 1,792 November 1, 2014 My husband recently passed away and, in my newly acquired insomniac ways, the Hallmark overnight/morning lineup has become my salvation. And now I've lost it for 2 months (as we all have.) I thought maybe the morning GG would remain, but no. I hate overly sentimental Christmas movies, I hate them even more now that I've lost the love of my life, and I can't understand who is watching this stuff before December anyway. I've got no additional scheduling info, but thanks for letting me complain (assuming the mods don't delete...) 6 Share this post Link to post
LilWharveyGal 12,367 November 1, 2014 Words are inadequate, but I'm sorry for your loss CousinOliver. I hear ya. I usually watch the 5-7 am block of episodes while I'm getting ready for work. Who the heck needs to watch Christmas movies (prior to Thanksgiving! But that's another issue...) that early in the morning? Having to deal with Logo's commercial break edits is not a suitable Christmas gift. 1 Share this post Link to post
emma675 24,417 November 1, 2014 My condolences, CousinOliver. These stupid Christmas scheduling breaks are the exact reason I ponied up and bought all of the GG dvds several years ago. Now I can watch it all the time. 2 Share this post Link to post
Gillian Rosh 8,445 November 1, 2014 CousinOliver, my sincere condolences for your loss. I don't mind the occasional cheesy Christmas movie but two months worth of them is OTT. I'm amazed that the ratings for these things are good enough for Hallmark to schedule them every year! ETA: The scheduling silliness is doubly annoying since Hallmark has a movie channel to which it can easily relegate these cheesy holiday films. In fact, they're showing Christmas movies on their movie channel, so I don't know why we have to lose GG for two months. Edited November 3, 2014 by Gillian Rosh Share this post Link to post
CousinOliver 1,792 November 3, 2014 Thanks for your condolences. I'm sure I'll adjust in time, but it's still a shock. GG is definitely better on DVD, without commercials or pesky edits, and friends of mine have offered me their extra set, but part of the attraction is having the TV never shut off. With my DVD player, I'll eventually get to dead air. Still, better than no GG. 2 Share this post Link to post
Maherjunkie 1,085 November 4, 2014 For me it will be Frasier in the morning. I don't like the later episodes as much.but maybe I will discover a good line or two. Share this post Link to post
Maherjunkie 1,085 November 10, 2014 They lied! Because of a silly mistake I let you all down. Bill Maher is not my boyfriend. Bob Hope is not my father. Share this post Link to post

rubaco 2,223 November 21, 2014 The Girls are scheduled on TV Land all Sunday evening (until 9). I wonder if this is because they have pulled all airings of The Cosby Show. Share this post Link to post
Chicken Wing 9,236 November 22, 2014 It's also on Logo this weekend: Tonight starting at 10:30, tomorrow from 11 to 3 and then from 5:30 to 9:30, and Sunday from 11 to 3. Phew. Finally, my eye can stop twitching... Share this post Link to post

Cobalt Stargazer 22,295 January 1, 2015 So now that the new year is finally here, it seems as if Hallmark will return to its senses. The Girls will be on tonight at eleven p.m. EST. Their website is really annoying, btw. For some reason they have a very loud ad about their movies that I can't block. 1 Share this post Link to post
Maherjunkie 1,085 January 8, 2015 Does anybody find their tv guide not showing the episodes listed? Share this post Link to post
Bastet 79,572 January 8, 2015 Yes, which was rather disappointing recently when the Dish program guide said I'd be getting the episode with Jean. I don't remember what aired instead, and it was probably an episode I like very well since we're on the early seasons, but that's one of my favorites. Share this post Link to post
Cobalt Stargazer 22,295 January 31, 2015 So, I have a question - they ran the series finale the other night, and I was expecting Hallmark to go back to the beginning as they usually do, only they're running episodes from various seasons instead. They're running the second half of Sick And Tired right now, and I'm wondering what's going on. Does anyone have any information about this peculiar change? Share this post Link to post
Stinger97 1,657 February 1, 2015 It might be because Hallmark isn't airing the show again until after Valentine's Day, as they're showing all romantic movies, all the time, for the next two weeks. Share this post Link to post

Well, FML. Like two whole months of Christmas movies wasn't bad enough? Thanks for the info, Stinger97. Edited February 1, 2015 by Cobalt Stargazer 1 Share this post Link to post
Gillian Rosh 8,445 February 1, 2015 I'm having only hate-hate toward Hallmark Channel. All Valentine's Day movies? On a normal day, Hallmark is a Valentine's movie marathon, except for when they show GG, The Middle and Fraser. Now, they're taking over the entire schedule with that crap? Ugh! Share this post Link to post
Miss Chevious 11,429 February 1, 2015 I know. I hate it when Hallmark does that. Thank goodness for TVLand and LOGO channels. 1 Share this post Link to post
Maherjunkie 1,085 February 2, 2015 Another reason for a single girl to hate Valentine's Day. 4 Share this post Link to post
redlaces 671 February 4, 2015 Or an attached girl that just HATES these ridiculous holidays. It's so hard to watch this show on television anymore, I have pretty much given up. It can be background noise, but, I know it will be brutally slaughtered and sliced to bits. Just get the DVD's. It's not hard if you know what to do to find it online, but, just get the DVD's.. Maherjunkie 1,085 February 5, 2015 I know, it's just the principle. It's our way of saying to the network "What kind of tramp do you take me for? Pony up an episode." Share this post Link to post
LilWharveyGal 12,367 August 18, 2015 Ok people, brace yourselves. Today, August 18th, Hallmark ran an ad for their 24/7 Christmas movies that will begin on October 31. Halloween isn't even on my radar yet, and I'm certainly not in the mood for Christmas. But I'm definitely not ready for the idea of being deprived of the Girls for 2 months. aquarian1 18,405 August 18, 2015 Hopefully Logo will keep showing them. It's not the same, but at least it's something. Share this post Link to post
aquarian1 18,405 September 6, 2015 Starting at 12n EDT next Sat (6/12), Logo will be showing a marathon of GG for their 30th anniversary. Hard to believe the girls first aired 30 years ago. Link to schedule. 1 Share this post Link to post
Maherjunkie 1,085 October 23, 2015 That time of the year is coming...like when the drums stop beating in a jungle movie..we'll all have to huddle together for warmth..run to the Logo channel after the 31st of this month..run, run, I say! Share this post Link to post
