Carson & Jack check again.  One is too heavy.  So is their next one.  In fact, all of theirs are so far.  They finally get a good one, though, after three failed ones.  The last two failed, so they have to do five more.

Brett & Mark check their mozzarella twists, and get their fifth good one.  But their sixth isn't good.  One more is needed.

Ana is checking the strings on the mandolin carefully.  Jonathan is talking her through it gently and patiently.  Imagine that.  She is really picking it up.

Carson & Jack get checked again, and now they're starting to get some more right.  They clear the task!  They're in first out of the Detour!

Next stop: the Montesanto Quarter.

Brett & Mark check their last twist and pass!  They're in second leaving the Detour, close behind Carson & Jack.

Ana finishes tightening the strings, and she did a great job!  They get checked, and . . . get passed!  They're in third place heading for the next stop!

Alyssa & Josiah get passed their first time checking their mozzarella twists.  They're in fourth place.

Han & Holden are in last and are again panicking.  Or at least Han is.

Eh, I can only blame the editors so much.  They only get what they're given by the racers.  The only choice is to not air talking heads, and that's a dead giveaway, too.

Jonathan & Ana actually reach the Route Info first!

The task is to deliver groceries without stairs.  They must delivery protein, sausages, and bread to a house on that street.

Navigation is not Carson and Jack's strong suit.

Han & Holden finally get a check at Mozzarella.  Their first is good.  So is their second.  Their third is bad.  Their fourth passes.  Their fifth is good.  And their sixth fails, too.  Just need two more.

Carson & Jack are lost looking for the Montesanto Quarter.  Alyssa & Josiah are lost, too.  Brett & Mark seem to have found it, though.

Jonathan & Ana get some zucchini to start their shopping.  They get an onion, too.  Sausage is next.

Meanwhile, Alyssa & Josiah are still lost, while Han & Holden quickly get directions.  They need Piazza Montesanto.

Jonathan & Ana can't find sausage at a deli.  Surprisingly, Jonathan helps Carson & Jack find their way.  I guess karma rewards them quickly, since they find the sausage immediately after.

Brett & Mark are shopping now, and they get their zucchini and their onion.

Carson & Jack get their clue and start stopping.

Jonathan & Ana get two panelle, whatever those are, and head back to deliver their groceries.

Brett & Mark get their own panelle, and then need to find their sausages.

Alyssa & Josiah are looking for their clue and still haven't found it.

Carson & Jack get their veggies, while Brett & Mark get their sausages.  They've got everything.

They need a marked car with a driver to head to their next stop.

Alyssa & Josiah get their vegetables, while Brett & Mark get their clue.  They're in second in heading for Piazza Olivella.

Carson & Jack get their panelle.

Brett & Mark move into first place when Jonathan & Ana get lost.

Carson & Jack get the sausages and complete their list.

Jonathan & Ana find their way, while Alyssa & Josiah get their sausages.

Carson & Jack deliver their groceries and get their clue.  They're in third place.

Alyssa & Josiah get their panelle.

Jonathan & Ana find their marked car, with Carson & Jack close behind.

Alyssa & Josiah get their clue and marked car after delivering their groceries.  They're in fourth.

Han & Holden finally reach their clue and get their shopping list.

Jonathan & Ana are close to Carson & Jack.  The latter team passes the former.

Han & Holden get their vegetables, but their local guide isn't helpful in letting them know what the other two items are.  They're frustrated by the language barrier.

Roadblock: Who's feeling saucy?
One member of each team must make a pizza from scratch in the same manner of Italian pizza chefs.

Brett takes the task, as does Carson so as not to max out Jack's Roadblocks.

So they have to stretch the dough and use sauce, two cheese, basil, and olive oil.

I feel kinship with Ana.  Her first job was Domino's.  I also worked at Domino's once.

Alyssa & Josiah reach the Roadblock, and Alyssa takes it.

Han & Holden reach the panelles, and they buy them.

Ooh!  Mark, Jack, Jonathan, and Josiah get to eat pizza while waiting!

Ana's already finished her pizza, and she immediately gets a seal of approval!  She gets a clue, and she and Jonathan are first in heading for the Pit Stop!

Pit Stop: Castel Nuovo.  Phil didn't mention an elimination, so it sounds like they're reverting to the TAR1-5 format of NELs showing up when Phil mentions no eliminations.

Carson failed the pizza.

Han & Holden are still en route to the Roadblock.  They're trying to stay calm.

Non-elimination leg is back but no penalty will be assessed for the last team since TAR4 merely 22 years ago.

Alyssa thinks that the crust needs to be thicker, while Carson finally gets a good pizza.

Alyssa will only use the Express Pass if Han & Holden show up.
