Madison and Ryan host a black-tie summer soiree as tensions in the group run high; a new romance starts to sizzle and, in a shocking turn of events, another one fizzles.

Craig sits down with castmates Shep Rose and Austen Kroll to discuss his breakup with Paige after Thanksgiving 2024 as cameras film the entire conversation. This conversation takes place five months after filming wrapped on the show, meaning a lot has gone down behind the scenes.

As Austen and Shep prepare to meet with Craig, they admit that they saw the signs a breakup was on the horizon. "I think that there were cracks, but I think that Craig was like, [it's] not enough to terminate relationship," Austen theorizes. Shep says, "I just feel bad for the guy cause it doesn't sound like he was driving this bus."

I knew Venita’s issue would have been with “some” and not “Black.” And, okay, they dated briefly a couple of months after filming, which clears up some other confusion about what we’ve heard through the media. But is the reunion preview implying that JT got back together with his girlfriend? I also thought (per media reports) he quit and didn’t show up for the reunion. But maybe he quits the show mid-reunion after Venita brings out her “Receipts! Proof! Timelines! Screenshots! Fucking everything!” —Heather Gay. (How is this not in the available gifs?!) Or, actually, I think he quit via social media post after filming? Anywhoo… Guess we’ll find out more next week.

Well, for the fake showmance, at least Molly actually kissed Shep, unlike some of the other fake “couples,” like Whitney and Naomi.

I feel like we didn’t get any insider info on the Craig/Paige breakup. But it sounded like he was still pretty much in shock when they filmed that in January. Kind of cold with the clip of Paige joking that this is the last time you’ll see me, you just don’t know it. Yikes!

JT was at the reunion according to the Bravo previews, and he had heated exchanges with Venita.

I just can't stand Leva!  There, I said it.  

I hated the way everyone kept interrupting every time Ryan went to explain himself.  And Rodrigo!  STFU and GTFO!!!  It didn't involve you!  At all!!!

This whole season has been so off kilter with the editing.  You never know the real chronology of the way things happened.  

So I guess Whitney had to get with Shep to present him with his next storyline. 

I was so hoping Sally would punch Taylor in the mouth!  (Not really.  But I can't stand Taylor either.)

Poor Craig,  he was obviously  still in love with Paige when she broke it off. Was it three years they were together??

Venita and JT dated for two months, then he put a photo of himself  and his girlfriend on Instagram.  Seems like people  were right about JT.

I think  Shep and Molly should  just stay friends,  they do make a good looking  couple.

Taylor and Rodriguez are both annoying,  gossiping  gnats, with no life. 

I love a guy in a tux.

Wait, I'm still confused. If they dated after filming, how the heck is Venita claiming she didn't know about the girlfriend?

100% I hate how Leva swoops in acting like arbiter & judge. She doesn't share any of her life yet wants to pass judgement on others. Same with Whitney.

I've zero interest in Rodrigo & I have no idea why he's even on the show except to enable Taylor into thinking she's Miss Thing. 

Still trying to understand how it's Ryan's fault that JT was bragging to their mutual barber. Leva's mad that Ryan didn't call JT? Ryan hates JT, he cares about about Venita which is why he told her what had been said. Makes sense to me. JT doth protest way too much.

Love seeing the Craig/Austen bromance back in full swing, now on a more honest level. Did Austen buy NA beer for Craig? That's so sweet.

After watching Venita on WWHL, I think the photo of the girlfriend JT posted was a different girlfriend than the one on the show. I also didn’t quite understand whether the two months dating Venita ended with him posting the picture, and he was cheating or they weren’t exclusive, or if they broke up and he started dating someone else. I guess we’ll find out at the reunion. But considering she seemed to think they were dating despite him having a girlfriend on the show, I wouldn’t doubt if JT broke up with current show girlfriend and spent time with Venita and she assumed they were in a relationship, despite his thoughts on the matter.

Agreed that the Ryan/JT thing was made into a storyline but no one actually did anything wrong. it sounds like the barber even admitted that he misconstrued the details when retelling the story to Ryan because he didn’t know this was going to be a formal deposition under oath. 

Also agreed that I’m not quite sure why Leva is still on this show since it’s been years since she’s participated in the group trips and general interactions and she has a whole different show. She’s like a Lisa Vanderpump who brings nothing to the table. I mean she owns the bar in Southern Hospitality and still is hardly ever on that show, either. She just pops in once in a while on either show to bring some “mom energy” and a scolding when someone isn’t playing nice with others—but even then it’s very rare because she’s on the outskirts of the “friend groups” and doesn’t really know what’s going on aside from the one interaction. i don’t mind Rodrigo. While he’s also a “friend of,” he does seem to be around more and generally gets along well with everyone. He’s funny and thoughtful, and serves as a good sounding board for the other main characters. He’s not an automatic downer like Leva.

Creepy foreshadowing, wasn't it? I'm trying to understand why they broke up. Was it the kids thing, the NY thing, his drinking, was she cheating on him or was it something else? 

I wonder if Austen's comment about he and Craig being closer than ever was because of the frank talk they had or that Craig is now drinking with him again? Or maybe both? If the drinking is a factor then it's certainly ironic, as Craig confided in Austen about his addiction issues. 

What was Sally's issue with Taylor and vice versa? i didn't understand it. The talk seemed edited. If Sally doesn't mind Austen's jokes about her breasts, then what's it to Taylor?

He said he usually  just sticks to low alcohol  beer. No hard liquor  anymore. He did have champagne,  maybe  it doesn't  take much now to make him tipsy.

Craig recognizing his problem drinking & adjusting has been a gradual process. When this was filmed (Spring 2024) he'd stopped drinking hard liquor & hanging out in bars. When Summer House was filmed (Summer 2024) he'd cut back further (declining a drink & choosing root beer instead on the last episode) December 2024 is when he came out publicly about the issue & where is on his journey.

I know he's credited Paige for much of the reason he wanted to change but pleased to see he's continuing the journey despite the breakup. On social media, he's been all about the gym, his business (appearing at nearly every home show across the country) & a positive mental outlook.

I didn’t under the Taylor/Sally conversation either.    Taylor thought Sally was upset?   So she said something to Austen?  Then Sally rips into her because she (Sally) really was not  upset?    All Sally had to say to Taylor was “ hey thanks for looking out for me, but I’m fine and wasn’t upset.”   Then Taylor could say “ oh sorry; I thought you were.”  Done.  🤷‍♀️

On the Bahamas boat trip, Austen jokingly asked to see Salley's tits.

Salley mentioned it later. Taylor somehow took that to mean that Salley wanted Austen &  texted to warn him Salley was trying to break up his relationship.

Austen said he laughed it off, knowing the warning stemmed from Taylor's dislike of Salley.

So Salley confronted Taylor asking why after squashing their beef she was still coming for her. Taylor claimed she was just protecting her friend Austen instead of owning up to being a petty pick-me bitch.

So much noise about the barber and JT thing.

Not much going on in the episode except the usual dress up dinner party which the show ends each season with.

I wonder if they get product placement money for dressing up the cast, because not only do they dress up often, the cast are talking about each other's looks many times.  What is this, an infomercial for certain fashion?

As a guy, I don't know what all these styles are suppose to be.  But some viewers must be paying attention.

Most of the tea seems to be in the epilogue, setting up drama for the reunion and maybe next season.

Looks like Venita and JT will hash it out.  If JT wants to be in any future seasons, he's going to have to play his role at the reunion, making a big deal out of something people could care less about, just like the Taylor vs. Salley dating the same guy or whatever.

Craig will be expected to talk a lot about his breakup.  Maybe he will say he's already found another girlfriend.

Then next season, he will either be spiraling somehow or have another fake showmance.  They will decide which is a better story fit.

Austen's girlfriend has mostly been not on the show this season.  The producers may demand that he contribute more to the drama again and since his "feud" with Craig was  settled, maybe they will come up with some more relationship drama for him again.

Oh yeah, they show Madison very pregnant in the previews for the reunion so that will be a story next season.  But EVERYONE is shocked to see her pregnant!  

Again that just shows that when the cameras aren't running, these people aren't hanging out or paying attention to each other, though presumably you'd think real friends would be on some group chat all the time and would be following each other on social media.  Are we suppose to believe Madison didn't post that she's pregnant?   You know a reality show fame whore -- well that's redundant but you know ...

I agree with what you said.

Leva is Shep's age (they were both born in 1979), so he should play the role of the father.

Rodrigo was a cast member, not a friend. He was at the the official group photos.

Taylor is jealous of Sally because she had an intimate relationship with Taylor's current boyfriend.  She warned Sally to keep her ex's name out of her mouth.  My thing is...btch he's my ex.  I can drag his name all I want.  I couldn't care less that he's now with you.  He's a jerk and I'm sure Taylor will find that out just like Sally did.  Taylor is very insecure.

Seems like good ol’ JT was stringing both women along - likely, in my opinion, because he wanted to be on the show and Venita was his storyline.

True - Taylor is insecure, and also lacks self-respect imo. This show hadn’t helped.

He said that but there were a few episodes in which I heard him order Bud Light, so he is drinking sometimes.
