S9.E6: Shipwrecked

With Lindsay out of the house for the weekend, Carl invites a girl to the party; Jesse feels the pressures of monogamy; Kyle sits down with Craig to hash out their issues.

In the early part of this episode, Kyle demonstrates all the signs and symptoms of narcissism.  Craig asks three times to talk the next day.  The drive out was five hours, which is a long time to go about 120 miles.  Not an unreasonable request.  But Kyle wants it now and no other time will do.

The world revolves around him and woe be to anyone that stands in his way.

Amanda, take the clue.  He is not the right person to become a father and he is a miserable excuse for a husband.  

Enough already with this guy.  No redeeming qualities.

Agree!  And Kyle wrecks Amanda’s birthday celebration, too.

I just don’t think the whole thing is a big deal.   🤷‍♀️

Why Imrul, the new guy is 36, and the new women 24 (Bailee who was not on this episode either), and 26 (Lexi)?

Isn't Lil too young for Carl? He met her through her parents at a soccer match!

Kyle walked out of the house like a brat one more time. 

Amanda and Ciara looked cute dressed as birds.

Yeah, after listening to Craig in the morning, he irritated me too.  They are both trying to control who “decides” when to “discuss.”  I just thought it was wrong of Kyle to decide to discuss the evening that Craig arrives after a long car ride, AND at his own wife’s birthday party.  Way to ruin the evening. 🙄

It seems Amanda's "swimsuit line" is just a swimsuit company (South Moon Under) sending samples of its own swimsuits to her to decide what she likes, and edit them if she wants, so that the company will use her name for endorsement. It doesn't seem she designs, or creates anything. 

ETA: This according to what she said and did on the episode- she was trying the swimsuit samples (tops and bottoms) the company sent her.

No. Craig's not the one who went on a tirade, rage texting Paige and going off on a media pity tour. 

In addition to spokesman, the deal with Spritz Society gave Craig a chance to design a flavor & dedicate sales proceeds to a charity of his choice. There's zero chance Kyle would offer a comparable deal.

Not to mention, the news on Spritz Society was public in April 2024. So why did Kyle make this an issue months later? Is he going to do this again with Paige next season because the Giggly Squad tour was sponsored by another alcohol brand? why does he think that everyone owes him their loyalty? Petty little man child. 

Ciara & Amanda acting shocked on WWHL that Craig blocked them on insta when they've been unnecessarily trash talking him in every interview was a bit much. It's especially ironic considering how Craig stood up for Ciara in the Austen/Lindsey situation.

I get being supportive of Paige but the vitriol seemed completely unwarranted when she was the one who ended things & Craig's never spoken a negative word about her.

Am I the only one who doesn't see anything remotely attractive about West?

Kyle showing out on his wife's birthday and Craig considering being submissive in a relationship equitable to not getting his way makes them both annoying and selfish to me.

It's choosing between dysentery and typhus.

Carl really went all out on this party. The food must have cost a pretty penny not to mention the backyard pirate ship. I hope she’s worth it. I’d hate to se him burned again.

Eh, he finally has some stability in his life.  If he wants to be a bit extravagant about things, I am willing to give him a break.  The last two years were pretty awful for him with Lindsey and the subsequent break up.

The problem is that there is no money in soft drinks.  Unless he markets to Mormons.  The soda concoction makers out in Utah apparently make a killing. 

And of course, on the after-show, Paige is getting allll the digs into Craig.  Cannot wait for her to get treated exactly as she has treated him.

I so don't understand this. She broke up with him, she's completely free to move on. So why the near constant trash talking? She looks like a vindictive, petty, miserable harpy.

What in the world was Carl's new woman wearing to that party? It looked like one of those ruffle things babies wear over their diaper lol.

I find myself liking Carl more these past couple episodes than I ever have. But also yea a soft bar seems very stupid and I say that as someone who does not drink.

I was a Craig defender for like the entire time I watched Southern Charm. Long after he deserved it lol. I have never really been a Paige fan but she occasionally entertains me. I used to think they really loved each other but just realized they weren't right for each other. Now I'm pretty sure the whole thing was basically fake on both their ends.

The Ciara/Jesse stuff was kinda icky to me. I mostly don't mind Jesse but this whole thing with Lexi and now this is not making him look good.

I’m sorry. My post was not a put down of Carl. After all he’s been through I wish good things for him too.

Again! He's wrecked almost every birthday of hers on this show, and Amanda always goes all out for his birthday. Remember how for her 30th birthday he didn't even get her a present?! Kyle's only about himself.

I hope Carl has a really  happy time at his party, he certainly  went all out.

I don't  think Kyle is very nice, especially  when he drinks, he resorts  to childlike  tantrums.

I was happy  Lindsay  wasn't  in the show. I care so little  about her baby, I just hope the little  one is healthy. 

I hate seeing  Craig hurt, Paige moved on very quickly,  almost  like she had someone  waiting. I hope Craig takes his time, and falls in love with someone with his likes( enjoy  their  home for one) 

We have a small soft bar here, it's usually  full, and nobody  needs to be a designated  driver. I think  a lot of businesses  now provide  mocktails  and zero alcohol gin etc.

Almost every restaurant (if not all) I went to relatively recently had a list of mocktails.

It's so not a good look.  She's got to know this so I don't understand what she thinks she's going to gain by doing it?  Even more puzzling is what in the world do Cianna and Amanda think they are going to gain by chiming in?  

Well, I suppose for Amanda it's a way to finally take the opportunity to deflect from her own miserable relationship.  Dumpster fire! Over here! Over here! On Instagram, someone made a comment that had me absolutely rolling about the complete audacity of Amanda to be criticizing Craig's behavior.  They said:  "Amanda, STOP......girl, the call is coming from inside the house" 🤣

Carl's "date" made me weirdly uncomfortable.
