Mollywolly555 Monday at 04:31 PM Share Monday at 04:31 PM I saw a snippet on The Daily Show? I think, where Gretchen also did the conciliatory spiel about working with Trump, as some are predicting Fetterman will do on the show today. Reminds me of WWII, Chamberlain believing Hitler wd stop if he got Sudetenland. Gretch was targeted to be killed by T's followers. What kind of world are we living in? We can compare and contrast how each frames their current approach to this administration. . 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151588-the-view-week-of-1272025/#findComment-8565167

Sue in her 60s Tuesday at 02:05 AM Share Tuesday at 02:05 AM Sen. Fetterman seemed to say he supports the Dreamers (now-grown children of undocumented people who were brought to the US at a young age) and it was in the same breath as talking about what he and Trump could work on together - but is that true? Trump would work with Democrats to allow Dreamers to stay? What about a pathway to citizenship? He said his wife is a Dreamer. I looked it up and although Gisele Fetterman's mother brought her children here from Brazil - all undocumented - she, Gisele, achieved US citizenship in 2009. I didn't know that was possible. I'm trying to recall if he said anything else about what issues he and Trump could work together on. I can understand keeping a conversation like this private, but Trump and to some extent Fetterman seemed to want to let everybody know that it happened for political points. I was taken aback when he said that the New York business fraud trial was political persecution. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151588-the-view-week-of-1272025/#findComment-8565609

Mollywolly555 Tuesday at 01:21 PM Share Tuesday at 01:21 PM I wish Joy or Ana wd have asked Alyssa if she believed the $825,000 + of taxpayer money is worth it to move undocumented workers -- some who are criminals -- back to Mexico and Columbia. And why does it cost so much? Or ask a taxpayer, even one who is Republican, on the street, if it's worth it. SO many questions for Alyssa: What cd one find any explanation or listing of these workers' nationality and crime? Were they in jail/prison? Does the due process of the American court system apply to undocumented? What about the criminals' victims? Are the court cases just dismissed? And knowing how so many workers go back and forth seasonally, are the victims aware that their perpetrator is essentially free and may likely come back? Where can one find the answers to these questions, Alyssa????? I wish Sunny or Ana wd barrage Alyssa with these questions and watch her head explode or at least wipe the grin off of her face. 1 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151588-the-view-week-of-1272025/#findComment-8565803

In many cases, they only talk about the things they all agree with. When there's someone with different perspectives and opinions, they make a little effort to get them to agree but if that fails, then they don't delve into the other person's reasoning. Interviewing isn't meant to determine who is "right" and who is "wrong", but to elicit information that the audience hasn't heard and understand the rationale of the interviewee. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151588-the-view-week-of-1272025/#findComment-8565999

She’s not the one going to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the ring. Being a governor is different than being a senator, and her main priority is to keep the funding for the state, and that requires picking her battles. Sue in her 60s Yest. at 08:11 PM Share Yest. at 08:11 PM Good for Sunny for correcting Alyssa's statement about the CIA's recent decision that the Covid virus escaped from the Wuhan lab. Sunny pointed out that the announcement came with "low confidence" that a lab leak was more likely than a natural occurrence. The report said that the "CIA continues to assess that both research-related and natural origin scenarios of the COVID-19 pandemic remain plausible.” Intelligence reports always issue a confidence rating, from high to low. Low confidence means the information is unreliable, which is probably why the NYT ran with it a day later than some outlets. BTW, the assessment was a review of data, not a new investigation, and the report was written before the inauguration, although not released until Jan. 25. 5 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151588-the-view-week-of-1272025/#findComment-8566882

Mollywolly555 8 hours ago Share 8 hours ago So they cut short the talk about Kennedy to make time for a stupid social fluff piece later in the show? Gah!!!! " Woke" or wokeness started out as a term for racial equality... civil rights for people of color. It has evolved as awareness of the humanity and equality and rights for BIPOC, women, LGBTQ+, differently-abled,etc., those others who are not white male. Yes, Gloria Steinem and Betty Friedan, Bella Abzug, Shirley Chisholm, etc., were spokespeople for women's rights from the early 1960s forward. We are still striving for recognition and equality. And yes, many women don't realize the struggle others had to enable them to be White House staff. Saying "wokeness" won't be mentioned in the Press Room is just another way of claiming that their administration is sexist, racist, classist, etc. But we knew that. 2 1 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151588-the-view-week-of-1272025/#findComment-8567887
