Snazzy Daisy January 18 Share January 18 Quote John looks for clues to find Jason Wyler before Bailey comes home. Tim and Lucy switch rookies. A friendly face returns to the station. Zaffy Wednesday at 02:43 PM Share Wednesday at 02:43 PM (edited) Not as interesting as the first two episode, although I did chuckle a bit with the constant failures of the sophisticated alarm system. The Rookies are equally annoying. "Darling"? really? Are people from Texas that annoying or the writers just use "funny" stereotypes? Wesley's jealousy is "bleugh"... Did they bring Lucy's friend back (I didn't even remember her, I still don't, lol) to make Lucy jealous? Meh... Also the whole thing with Nyla's hubby is the writers idea of trying to talk about current police issues? Meh x 2... Btw, doesn't that blond rookie look like a younger version of T-1000 from Terminator? I keep expect him to start running with blades as hands. Snazzy Daisy Wednesday at 03:54 PM Author Share Wednesday at 03:54 PM Not a good episode. Very little of patrolling, more on personal stories. Nolan and his quest to track down Jason Wyler to save Bailey is so reckless and uninteresting. Is Nolan going to get reprimanded after going rogue? Just get rid of Jason already. UGH. The rookie swap is done purely to heighten the clash of personalities for dramahhh. 🙄 The Wesley and James’ storylines are ridiculously MEH. What’s the point of bringing back Rachel to LA? And the “drunk” blonde, what the hell is that??! Is she Jason’s girlfriend? 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151484-s07e03-out-of-pocket/#findComment-8560867

milkyaqua Wednesday at 05:24 PM Share Wednesday at 05:24 PM And so it begins... Enough with the Bailey drama and just catch this Jason already (and agree about the blonde possibly being a scout for Wyler). And yes, is Nolan going to be reprimanded for his stunt? Could care less about the Lucy, Tim, Rachel drama this show wants to start up. I've accepted that at some point TPTB are going to put Tim and Lucy together even though not all of us like them as a couple. The Wesley thing, don't care about. Ditto with James. The rookies are grating. Get back to the cases and stop forcing the personal drama front and center. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151484-s07e03-out-of-pocket/#findComment-8560951

Okie here - Texans can be very annoying (mostly A&M fans; it's a cult 😄) but that is definitely a stupid use of stereotypes. Also, my impression is that they are trying to make him a small town Texan in the big city. Sugar Land is a suburb of Houston, and it's not small. I wish the writers would do their research. I thought the two rookies solving the hostage situation were smart and did a good job. What was the regulars plan? Wait him out? Let him get established before Metro shows up? ETA: I was fully expecting Bailey to get kidnapped from the front porch when Nolan couldn't get the security system stopped or the door open. I'm so relieved that it didn't happen. After seeing the pre wildfires Nolan home nomatter how much overtime Bailey puts in when the Army doesn't have her I was thinking no way. With Sergeant Bradford not doing Sergeant stuff I think Eric Winters is starting to phone it in. He seemed to be more of a method actor than the rest. He/Bradford is showing up at work not clean shaven and unlike the rest of the regular cast, which have the green tazer on their belts only when they use it for a scene he used to wear all the equipment on his belt that only the extras do at all times. But did not for this episode. Edited Wednesday at 11:13 PM by Raja Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151484-s07e03-out-of-pocket/#findComment-8561126

I honestly have no clue what is realistic or not, police rules concerned. The last few seasons I treat this show like if it belongs to fantasy/sci-fi genre. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151484-s07e03-out-of-pocket/#findComment-8561211
Madding crowd Yest. at 12:13 AM Share Yest. at 12:13 AM Nolan is supposed to be the smartest cop of all time, surely he would suspect the random blonde setting off the alarm was some kind of scout for Jason. I like Bradford and Chen and think they are more interesting to me then perfect Nolan and perfect detectives Angela and Nyla (I like Nyla though). I can see why Wesley would have a hard time with that detective's interest in his wife, so far he is being professional about it. The new rookies are annoying. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151484-s07e03-out-of-pocket/#findComment-8561284

And as soon as the car broke through the barricade the "Tim test" and "darling" ended as the boots switched back to their original FTOs. With Lucy telling her friend she wants Tim back, but career I guess Rachel forces the issue and a season 8 can save on payroll with Officer Chen also transferring out of her first division. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151484-s07e03-out-of-pocket/#findComment-8561319
Red Bridey Yest. at 04:07 AM Share Yest. at 04:07 AM I don't remember this friend at all. I expect she's there to tempt Tim away from Chen. And the drunk blonde is absolutely a plant for Evil Genius Jason. Surprised Nolan missed it. Instead he magically turns up Evil Genius Malvado but ohno, there he goes, Nolan somehow missing his perfectly obvious efforts of getting out of handcuffs 🙄. I mean, it was five a.m. and Nolan was sleep-deprived. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151484-s07e03-out-of-pocket/#findComment-8561962
Jodithgrace Yest. at 04:17 AM Share Yest. at 04:17 AM Yeah, I didn’t get Nolan just walking away from his little rogue adventure without so much as a dirty look from Gray. And the new rookies were pretty much rewarded for their stunt, except for the Bart Simpson level punishment. Not gonna make Texas rookie any less arrogant. I don’t remember Lucy’s friend either. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151484-s07e03-out-of-pocket/#findComment-8561965

This Rachel also were planning to move to New York and told Tim, her boyfriend, about the fact after she got the job there, and he still wanted to date her. (So Lucy is the only person Tim willingly broke up with at this point, this show is just weird with Chenford).
