I agree.  Way too long.     I expected 2 eliminations.  And seems l8ke 5he increased difficulty in the challenges will cause more than a few contestants problems.

I already hate th3 red head, and the woman in jeopardy, Seychelle, and the young guy Parvati and the Aussie chose as a third in their alliance.

Dr Will continues to creepy from all the work he has done.

I've never seen even an episode of Deal or No Deal, but checked it out to see David Genat, too. LOVED him on Australian Survivor. But oof, this show drags. And the rules and how the money works is so convoluted. Granted, I was FFing a lot just to get through it. Even David looked pretty bored, but I guess it's a nice paycheck.

I am so creeped out by Sydney-I find her too aggressive towards David (and would feel that way if the roles were reversed).  I think she thinks she's more powerful than she is in reality.  Also, she talked alot during the suitcase segment then tried to shut down others when they tried to talk.

It seems to me that David and Parvati are spending too much time together if they don't want the others to think they are allied with each other.  Have to be careful about putting a target on one's back too early.  Interesting that even though many people know who Parvati is they aren't talking about targeting her whereas last season they immediately started to target Boston Rob.

The game flaws we talked about last season are still there.

Last season, wasn’t Rob the only person who had done a previous reality competition show? All of the non-reality people were threatened.

How many people this season have been on a previous reality show?

I thought this first episode was underwhelming and way too fucking long. My expectations were higher.

For real, I actually stopped it at one point to see if they had released 2 episodes at one time, I couldn't believe it went on so long. There were a whole bunch of irritating people right out of the gate, so I hope they all settle down a bit or things get more interesting.

Sydnee (that spelling - what!?!!) is so extra and not in a fun way. She is seriously annoying and she is not as cute as she thinks she is. How exactly do you go from homeless in LA to graduating from Columbia? And how did she think she was the team leader? She wouldn't have even made it to the pyramid without her teammates hauling her ass over those rocks. She didn't *actually* have the million dollar case until her teammate suggested they switch the cases around which wasn't even her idea! She can go anytime.

I've never seen Survivor Australia so I had no clue who he is, but I'm glad David survived. His teammate that went home might be the dumbest reality contestant ever. Ignoring the high value cases even though BOTH teammates said they were all higher than the open cases? Ignoring the odds even though everyone (except Sydnee) said take the $200,000 deal? Opening the $1 case?!??? Hilarious! Boston Rob mocking him so hard on the after show was well deserved.

I like Lete. I feel like "I'm not your Auntie" lady is gonna grate eventually. If Joe was still married to Sofia Vergara I would have loved for her to be the banker....

I do think this episode was too long, but I love shows like this, so I'm in.

He seemed like he was trying too hard to be folksy and create a character for himself. It's possible that if he'd poured less brainpower into his little sayings and put a little more thought into actual game strategy, he might still be there.

I could maybe excuse the case snafu as brain fog in the moment, but BOTH teammates actually spoke up about the higher case value issue and he still made his stupid "bird in the hand" choice when that saying wasn't applicable to the situation at all.

Yep, she's too much right out of the gate. And it's embarrassing to watch her throw herself at David. Plus, she's playing so hard into Parvati's hands with that, it allows Parvati to sit back and be cool girl who gets the guy without seeming to try. That might've happened anyway, but Sydnee is accelerating the timeline on it with her nonsense.

The third chick in the losing group needs to back off the over the top NY accent. I'm sure she has one, but she's laying it on so, so thick.

I don't get this game.  Was there any scenario where the kid beats the banker since he only had a dollar in his case?  Would it only have been if the other last case had the .01 in it?  If he had taken one of the deals, would he have stayed and someone else would have gone home?  I guess he really doesn't care how much money he won for the contestants since he is no longer in the game anyways.

SInce it was the first episode, I think they could have explained it all better.

He could have literally taken any deal that was offered to him. That was his only path to beating the banker. The deal that he takes has to be higher than what's in the case he chose. Since his case was only $1, he could have taken any deal that was offered because they were all greater than $1.

Yes. He would have gotten to choose who went home among those who were in the losing team in the challenge.

He could also have “won” if the value in the last case was $0.01.

Yes, but I'm just saying to how he could have won given the circumstances he had. He had a $1 case. The last case remaining to open was $500. No takesies-backsies on that.

Also, now that I think about it, don't they sometimes offer to switch cases when they get down a certain number of case?

I don’t think that was an act at all. He is from a small town, probably less than 2000 people, from the very north of Wisconsin. Not far from Canada and the area is known for fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, and other outdoor sports. I honestly do think he was being true to who he is.

Sydnee is awful to watch. She thinks highly of herself and I’m not sure why. And her in-your-face flirting with David was just gross.
