Two pip Harry Kimm as  the final big bad is such a deep cut ST:Lower Decks thing to do.

Damn you Two Pip Kim.   Trying to take  all the Lower deck Kim’s to a universe where Harry Kim’s can rank up but having the other Kim’s stop him is all kinds of Star Trek idealism.  “Welcome back Kim’s”

I like the idea that Mariner and Boilmer have a friendship that transcends realities.

Engineer Mariner is interesting.  Non adventurous until she was.

All the other crew members from alternate universes were entertaining.

I'm not sure what to think of an alternate universe holographic Bashir married to an alternate universe surgeon version of Garak.  It was very funny, but the logistics seem somewhat complicated, even with a mobile emitter.

I’ve been wondering what the other Boimler has been up to. Turns out he has a whole motley crew of officers from various universes investigating the fissures. I love that he was so happy to see Mariner and it was interesting to see a Mariner who’s an engineer and a rule follower.

That in a different reality, Starfleet developed the technology to explore different universes is pretty cool.

All the different Harry Kims who never got promoted ending up on the same ship is perfect. And it’s two pip Harry Kim who ends up being the villain.

Original Boimler receiving the message and screaming had me rolling.

Didn't care for the story, but GARAK!!! And almost with the husband he belongs to!

I could've sworn Bashir wasn't voiced by Siddig, he still sounds so young.

Some of the jokes were mildly amusing, like about the *Ensign* Kims, and I fully endorse Boim's comments about alternate universes.

Still, weird that they're stuffing all these somewhat indulgent episodes into the last stretch. We hardly even saw Tendi and Rutherford.

Still... Garak!

I'm surprised to see the lukewarm reaction. I loved it. I'll admit that I'm a sucker for the returning actors. My jaw dropped at T'Pol and I never even finished Enterprise. However the truth is once I realized Lily Sloane and Alfre Woodard were in this, I was all the way in. First Contact is just such a fave of mine and so is Woodard even outside of Star Trek.

In the Voyager finale, the Doctor was married to a human.

I loved it too! I'll bet all the actors had fun voicing their characters without having to get into makeup. Having an evil Harry Kim was a genius move.

I need an interview with Garrett Wang talking about what it was like to voice this ep. That had to be wild fun.

When they wrote the season they didn’t know they were gonna be cancelled.  When they got the news they were given the chance to do some “patching” of the scripts but could not redo the season to be a swan song. So to a large degree we are getting a season 5 from a continuing series rather than a season 5 for a final season.

I loved this ep. mainly because of the guest characters. I never finished Voyager but I love guessing voices, so I thought "is that really Jolene Blalock"? And no one sounds like Andrew Robinson, how I have missed Garak and Julian. I had to listen really hard to Alexander Siddiq. And of course Lily Sloan! At first I thought it was Dawnn voicing another character, but the more I listened I realized it really was Alfre Woodard! I love how many actors are willing to come back and voice their former characters. I'm going to miss this wacky show.

Boimler explained it best - multiverses are boring and unoriginal. Pointing that out in the episode doesn't make it any less boring. It would have been okay if this was earlier in the run of the show, before multiverses had been done to death. But, there's one episode left, and I'd rather it focused on existing characters. Remember Rutherford?

Or, if they really wanted Garak - best ST character ever, btw - then show us what he's doing now in the real universe. Maybe he's manipulating the Ferengi economy so his fashion designs are the top selling brand. Of course, Rom recognizes what he's doing but allows it because Garak is donating all the money to rebuild Cardassia. Or he's helping Bashir take over Section 31. There were so many options.

Pretty much this.

I wholeheartedly agreed with Boimler's comments about multiverses.

I get that but I also agree with Lily's counterpoint about exploring alternate universes helping us to better explore humanity and ourselves. Yes, everything Boimer said has some truth about laziness but so do Lily's comments as well.

I do appreciate this particular mixture of characters not just as a bunch of misfit toys but ones I happened to want to see have happier-ever-afters than their "real" counterparts seemingly got.
