S06.E07: Turning a New Beef

Tammy and Amy beef over their big night out; Chris and Amy see a genealogist and the results make the family consider taking a trip overseas; the family decides to do a 5k but tempers quickly flare.

I fell asleep early into this episode.  I’ll catch it again later.  But, can someone tell me why Amy and her brother have such a wheezy sound when they laugh?  Is it a lung condition?  Do they smoke?  It sounds concerning.

Ahhh! I deleted the wrong part. I fell asleep too @SunnyBeBe. As to the wheezy laughter, yes, I've noticed it too. They sure think their comments are hilarious.

So Tammy gets mad when she can't keep up with the siblings?   How mature to blame them for her condition.    I loved seeing Chris jog and enjoy himself so much.   

I will watch the England trip, but they're going to set back U.S. and England's relationship many years.

Appreciate Amanda trying to make some sort of peace with Tammy. Tammy has the emotional maturity of a child. Not engaging in any kind of conversation with Amanda was typical "Woe is me" Tammy. I was rooting for her- no more. Trip to England going to be a sh******. 

Tammy is a heinous woman.

Was this show always this boring? 
I'd hate to be on the flight with them.  They should make them each fly separately.

I remember laughing at a joke on Parks and Rec. It was Donna's wedding, and she commented something about it being illegal for more than 3 or 4 Meigle's to fly on the same flight.

Amanda really tried with Tammy, but she just wouldn’t budge. Let her go, she’s running out of siblings that will tolerate her. You’d think someone in such a vulnerable state, so reliant on everyone else, would be a bit more humble and willing to put ego aside to keep the peace.  She’s turning into a total sour puss. 
 

Amys gross, but at least she’s upbeat lol Always enjoy Chris’ enthusiasm for their little excursions. Hope he gets his skin surgery.

Enough with this family. They’re really stretching with this whole UK thing. Even though it’s a trashy reality show I get so embarrassed thinking of these knuckle draggers being associated with the US. The show has run its course imo. Does anyone think morbidly obese women talking about farting on the Queen is somehow entertaining? I guess I just don’t understand the allure anymore. They’re a super fat family with zero education and limited social skills who are now “reality show famous”. What’s next I guess…

At one point, Chris pointed to a married pair on the family tree and said that they were first cousins. Hmmm.

But isn’t that something the genealogist should have realized when researching or building out the family tree, and then mentioned herself? Or maybe the producers just wanted to give Chris a line to break up all the farting-around-the-world yapping from Amy.

Saw the same thing @LeesburgLee and wondered. My thought was since Amy and Chris have only one parent in common maybe that was Amy's side- but on reflection that doesn't make sense. The genealogist looked like someone maybe from the county historical association, not one you'd pay to get this done. Who knows with these people who I  like less each season.

I've noticed the majority of them wheeze and I think it's a byproduct of the weight they carry, and their lack of exercise. That puts stress on their heart and lungs. Any movements like getting up from a sofa, having a belly laugh, and walking to a site brings forth that heavy breathing/wheezing.

I googled the wheezing and it looks like one thing could be asthma. Maybe their pulmonary system is not right. Regardless, it sounds concerning. Maybe, weight loss will help whatever is causing it.  
 

I wonder why Chris’s wife isn’t included in the weight loss journey.  She appears to be rather sedentary.  Idk, maybe she’s ill.

Let's not forget that they both smoke or did smoke too.  Chris admitted to being a heavy smoker in his first visit to Dr Proctor.  And we know that Amy is/was a smoker too.  That's been mentioned on the internet many times.  Sure wouldn't help.
