I don't know, Colter's rifle used to murder someone. Nobody tried to contact the police at any time. The only thing that might save them is that Reenie did contact the military about the situation and maybe they can sweep everything under the rug in exchange for the statues being returned.

Colter is out of pocket for the cost of a window.

Dog Barkley really didn't look very happy to see his military owner  (you would think he would be happy to go with him) how did the guy lose him in the first place, isn't the dog trained, why did he run away. The dog was barking very loudly, you would think they would have a command for the dog to be very quiet, especially if they are operating behind enemy lines.

It was better than most episodes, but the story seemed off.

Barkley, you disappointed me.  You should have taken Shaw on a tortuous path through the refinery, up a flight of stairs, down a flight of stairs, through a hole in the wall...make Shaw work for his heroism.

"Maybe they named him after Charles Barkley."   You mean an aging loudmouth?  Okay then.

Colter is going to get the bill from the Dodge dealership and call that kid up:  "Listen, kid, you still got that jar with a $162 in it?"

Miller sure buried that statue deep enough, didn't he?

Colter and Velma are finally meeting, and within 5 seconds the sweet scene turns into product placement LOL!

Man, this one requires a lot of hand waving. I mean after the way Colter was brushed off by the cop I could understand why he did not fill him in on the gaming camera. But the rest was pretty iffy and as usual we don't see any of the legal aftermath. I know it would be boring but given the amount of hairy situations Colter lands himself in I wonder why Reenie even bothers to land other clients.

I have no idea how Barclay managed to find the statues. I assumed he he was trained to find landmines, i.e. he was trained to detect the scent of chemicals. Benin bronze statues *props for not going down the well trodden path with those artifacts* don't have that scent. If he was a guard dog simply* going for Miller's scent attached to the statues he's one of a kind. Scent trails last for a couple of days at best. Not to mention that the statues were buried.

*It's not simple and contrary to what's shown on tv dogs need to be especially trained for that too.

But the scenery was great as usual.

I love the way Colter introduces himself as Colter Shaw, as if that’s supposed to mean something. LOL!

It does seem silly, but I wonder if it's supposed to be a psychological rescue-type technique. Like, give the traumatized person your full name in order to create trust... or something like that.

At the beginning, I was sure that Barkley had eaten something that the bad guy needed -- evidence of a crime he committed, for instance. So the turn the story took was welcomed by me.

Not sure what else to say about the ep. I don't know how realistic it was for Barkley to smell the wife thru a metal door and up and down the stairs and so on, but whatever.

Didn't somebody in another thread say they wanted Colter to look for something simple, like a lost dog?  Be careful what you wish for...

Well I was one of the guys begging for a simple case like a lost dog, dolphin, violin or maybe even the lost ark..

I could use several words to describe this episode but simple wouldn't be one of the words lol

The plot was all over the place but it was somewhat entertaining and Barkley is adorable. The Amazon product placement was hilarious, maybe Colter will start doing commercials on the side when he's solving cases for free.
