S18.E05: A Beach Of A Honeymoon

You are not old.  I wish i was 53 again.  Anyhoo, I saw a commercial with the husband with the same hair style as David, so I guess it’s the new style nowadays.  Beards are in also.  His personality will get another woman soon, I hope as he is a good guy.  Women are probably writing in to meet him as we speak.  Michelle doesn’t deserve him.

there is a comment about David based on comments his exes have made. True or not, we don't know, but it kind of doesn't surprise me. David will have NO problem getting another woman or women once he is off this show. Or sooner, perhaps?

Okay, how does a 30-something-year-old find out from his mom’s Facebook post that he was adopted?!? Talk about people over-sharing on Facebook! Then he explained on the After Show that when he said his Mom he meant his father’s first wife who raised him. Well, who was the “mom” who adopted him? Why did this mom post this if she didn’t actually adopt him? Then at the wedding, we met his third Mom who was his birth mother—but he calls all of them Mom. This is confusing. But okay, somehow it made more sense than Karla’s “magic wand” (aka penis) energy transfer. That lady is crazy. But I guess she’s at least a kooky crazy as opposed to Michelle’s crazy mean. Based on what she was telling the producers, she seems to be aware that David is actually a nice guy and doesn’t deserve that she can’t stop being aggravated by his existence. He also didn’t deserve to have to spend the  night on a pool lounger—the resort was empty, surely they could have gotten him a room, I’ll be shocked if Michelle actually lives with him the full however many weeks. But I wonder whether the show is getting a little stricter with the “runaway brides” and so she’s sticking with the show, like it or not—even though we all know it’s a not. I, too, think if the preview of a couple swap is actually accurate, I’m putting all my chips on it being David and Madison. From the second they stepped on the treadmills they seemed to have more chemistry than either has with their spouses (not counting the actual wedding with Madison and Alan, as she seemed more into him then). They opened up to each other, both telling each other things they hadn’t even told their spouses yet, and both seemed to be impressed that the other liked working out and they have that in common. I’m assuming the building the show wil put them up in will have a gym, and I can see them spending time together for a daily workout and venting about their spouses to each other…

I don't find any of his style attractive, but he is growing on me because he is kind and knows how to behave.  He has a nice face and smile, when Curly Pony isn't hanging in it!  I'm also liking Karla more, even though she's still annoying.

I realize I'm starting to have an obsession with the matter (don't shoot please), but I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with Madison's face that makes her look so weird and ... well... ugly tbh.

Ok so her ears are very outside of her face. Her eyes are very far away from each other. Her neck seems very short. Her mouth is very big. I think all these things are not bad if they are only one, but all together they make this face really weird in my opinion. She mentioned there was a time in her life she wasn't "beautiful" (I always laugh with this). I wonder how she was back then. How worse can she get?

Thank you for posting this photo.  I know she thinks that she looks so much better than Allen, but her face looks more masculine to me than feminine.

What makes her really unattractive is that she thinks she is better than anyone else especially her husband.  I don’t find her face or her build attractive and her ego is over the top.

I don't think that she is unattractive, but I do think her look is very high maintenance. She has very obvious eyelash extensions, hair extensions and fake nails. Perhaps also a fake tan and lip injections. It's all very "done." In the pre-match interviews, I thought she looked a lot better; her hair wasn't not Rapunzel-long and it was a different color.

Other than that, I wanted to say I love Camille (even though I may hate her by episode 148, who knows.. ). Her tranquility and her inner beauty are so apparent, I would love to have her as a friend. Plus her curly hair is to die for. 😍

Thank you, Elizzikra, for re-watching those excerpts! I agree about her perception of David's build. It does look he has an underlying muscle tone, but it sounds like he is still eating close to what he did when he competed, and he does not look fit.

One other thing she said she did not like is men wearing flip-flops, and that seems to be a staple of David's look. I think that at the wedding, when his hair was up and he looked nice in his tux, she was attracted to him. But I think that most of the time he looks sloppy, and her seeing that is a turn-off, along with his not-fit look. I think those combined with the basement thing made it something she couldn't get past.

He said on one of the After Party episodes that his glasses just have a generic lens...they are not prescription glasses. That means he is just wearing them for effect, which goes along with playing a role.

Isn't David a smoker?  Looks aside, that would be a dealbreaker for me.

He said that he was and is trying to quit by stepping down to vaping. I don’t love vaping but I’d have a very hard time if my partner smoked. Vaping, not so much…

I know that one of Michelle’s many complaints about David is that he wears flip flops but they ARE in Mexico. 

I don’t mind Ikechi’s glasses-as-accessories. My daughter did that for awhile and they did look really cute.

Ok, so he's vaping, but I wouldn't want to be around any kind of smoke.
