When people vote for people like MTG.  And Lauren Boebert.  And Ted Cruz.  And Paul Gosar.  You have to ask why?  Those people are not charismatic.  They do not have policies that will help people.  So we know there is something wrong with the candidates so doesn't that mean there is something wrong with the people that vote for them? 

I do think Fox News and the whole right wing media machine has definitely contributed to awful candidates being elected but at some point you have to stop making excuses for voters. If you vote for someone who thinks there are space lasers controlled by Jewish people to start wildfires I can't help you. 

Was Kamala the perfect candidate? No. Was she better equipped to be president? Yes. Why? Because she wouldn't be planning a revenge tour as her agenda. She wouldn't be filling her Cabinet with suck ups.  She wouldn't be alienating allies.

Whenever I hear someone say they would vote Democrat if only there was better candidates I want to ask them who would you like to see run.  And most people don't have an answer. I personally would love to see Katie Porter do something.  She should be the incoming Senator from CA but that didn't pan out. 

So for any disillusioned Democrats do you really think voting for Republicans or not voting at all will help?

Saw a headline that Americans are "exhausted" with talk of politics.  No kidding.  Trump is exhausting.  So why on earth did he get voted in again?  If enough people had gone to the polls last month they wouldn't be so damn "exhausted" now.  But nooooo they voted in 4 more years of this neverending cycle of "what the hell is that moron going to do now".

The progressive leaders/activists broadly failed to foresee the rise of Trumpism/populism and when it did rise, they were unable to cope with it enough to be about to counteract it -- hence two Trump presidencies and Brexit.

I keep meaning to say this here . . . is "Proud Boys" a dumb name for a fascist group? In my head, I free-associate with "Jersey Boys," and I imagine "Proud Boys" being the name of an all-white doowop group. You probably know their biggest hit, "Goosestep Like A Man."
