Last week for the friends group.   So far I have zero clue what the safety bake is, but I usually don't even know what it is after they reveal it.

That Pavlova passion fruit looks awful, and underbaked.   The Swiss Roll looks yummy.  The passion fruit tart looks fantastic.  Grapefruit merangue looks loose.   Actual dessert was: Swiss Roll Passion Fruit.  So, Lanusz and Kieran go to the next week and the merge.

Yolanda created this challenge, so it's going to be tough. As always I have no clue.

April & Samantha says sweet dough, a braided brioche, judges like it.  With a pastry creme filling, and honey and almonds on top.  A Bee sting cake (German).

Jesse & Justin do a take on a St. Tropez tart bread.   They say the dough is dense.

Lenore & Jessica want to make a brioche with pastry creme in the center, and almonds on the top,Lenore & Jessica's is raw in the middle, then it's very overbaked.

Dessert was: Bee Sting Cake, so Jessica and Lenore got it right.

Eliminated team is: April & Samantha.

Yeah, I'm not sad to say goodbye to April and Samantha. I think it was the Rosie the Riveter hair.

Something about April irritated me too. I feel the same way about that woman who looks like she's 7 feet tall. I wish those 2 had been a team, so I could say goodbye to both last night.

I'm not a baker and I've never even heard of a couple of the things they've made this season but most of the contestants seem to know them so I guess they're not as obscure as I think.  A yeasted bread with a curd sort of filling seems very odd to me.

Lanusz and Kieran are my favorites but they need to calm down and think things through a little better.  I'm afraid they're going to miss something big which will get them eliminated.

I've been wanting April and Samantha gone since Day 1. Their relationship seemed a bit toxic. And they didn't come across as friends. The boss/employee relationship was all I saw.

Most of the desserts looked a little messy. Changing to a pavlova at the last minute wasn't the best idea.

Yolanda is showing a bit too much decolletage for my taste for a baking show.

I’m glad it was brought up about Yolanda’s choice of clothes. It’s seems too formal for this show as the others are causal and bright. Baking to me is fun and can be whimsical and this show’s theme seems to match that.

I also realized for the first time that the contestants dress to match their kitchen colors.
