As Marty and Courtney struggle to get their newborn to sleep, the entire Butler family suffers along with them. While Calvin prefers to let the new parents figure it out, Tina insists on jumping in to help with Baby Daphne any way she can. When searching for their old baby swing, Dave finds an old list he made of cool things to do before age 40, which sends him spiraling as he realizes he hasn’t accomplished any of them.

Premiere Date: October 28, 2024     CBS      8pm

I particularly liked the green and white pajamas.

Me too! I’ve had the thought that I want to get cuter sleepwear, and I loved those.

This episode did not make sense to me. Marty and Courtney did not adjust to parenthood, and they are having a very hard time. Meanwhile, Tina is right there ready and eager to help, and she knows how to do it too. Why not let her do it? It takes a village to raise a child and Marty & Courtney should be grateful someone is so willing to help.

Dave's mid-life crisis plotline wasn't really funny.

As someone who had her own first born last year, I 100%can tell you Tina was insufferable and I would not have been as tolerant. There is a big difference between helping and being to much. The baby was happy and she unplugged the carrier and picked her up without asking. Not at all acceptable. Don't even get me started about the My Baby. Courtney and Marty were doing fine and figuring it out. It's how it is supposed to be for every new parent. You learn your child that way. My mom helped but also realized this was my child and I needed to take the lead.

It also drives me crazy how Courtney calls Tina and Calvin, Mrs and Mr B. You are all grown adults, you work together and now have their grandchild, 1st names are appropriate. I would never not use 1st name as a grown adult.

IDK they were both complaining a lot about the lack of sleep / tiredness specially Marty, and here is someone who would happily take the child for 12 hours so you can get a good night's sleep and then they don't take it? It just doesn't make sense to me but I'm not a parent.

All the "my baby" comments really grated on my nerves.

Same

The woman bugged their house!!! That would have immediately put her on the "supervised visits only" list for me, if she's lucky.

I'm a grown adult and I was raised to never refer to an elder by their first name. It's disrespectful. It's either Mr. and Mrs., Auntie and Uncle, or other honorifics specific to my culture. I don't call my mother-in-law by her first name, I call her what her grandkids call her.

Tina was driving me crazy with how she was acting this episode. Courtney had infinitely more patience than I would have had; those locks would have been changed the first time she came over uninvited or I would've taken the baby back to my place and Marty could come with or stay behind with his mother, whichever he preferred.
