AntFTW September 4 Share September 4 Quote Targets change the game as competitors must learn how to play without knowing if they'll be safe come the next elim; TJ's favorite challenge returns in the form of a Challenge history lesson; a questionable sudden death round. angelamh66 September 5 Share September 5 Hate seeing Horacio go but I can’t help but be happy for Era 1 keeping Derek. Laurel has to be one of the most obnoxious truly mean people to ever be on this show and that’s saying a lot. 10 2 Link to comment
mojoween September 5 Share September 5 Laurel’s outburst after the challenge was ugly, just like her soul. Kyland calling Josh an incompetent competitor was just mwah. The elderly discussion between Derrick, Darrell and Chris was so funny. “The only thing I lost was my dignity” haha! 8 Link to comment
AntFTW September 5 Author Share September 5 I'm looking at Laurel sideways after that watching next week's trailer. I feel like there's something we didn't see in the episode between her and Darrell. I think it was Jonna that said the paramedics dropped CT when they were carrying him to the ambulance. Aneesa gave Jenny a run for her money in that elimination. I was hoping for an upset, even though I love Jenny and wouldn't want to see her leave. Once they explained the elimination, I thought Derrick had a good chance of winning but I was leaning toward Horacio. Eliminations like this (plus pole wrestle) are right up Derrick's alley. I thought Horacio would have won but Derrick gets the surprise win. I like surprises. Emily and Brad... make quite an interesting and quirky pair. Devin and Cory speculating that Jordan threw the challenge is interesting. I wonder if that is going to come up again at some point. 2 Link to comment
Lantern7 September 5 Share September 5 Well, that was heart-breaking. Aneesa’s efforts weren’t enough for her to beat Jenny, and Horocio lost a nail-biter to Derrick. From what I’ve heard, this is Horocio’s last season. The kid is a class act, and he will be missed. Anyone else rooting for Nicole to show up to fuck with Laurel’s head? Man, Laurel was a bitch. Talking trash is one thing, but she brought up Jenny rubbing on Darrell like they were doing something nasty. And it looks like she’ll be butting heads with Cara Maria yet again. Too bad we’ll have to wait two weeks to see that. Trivia was fun, even though I’m way over Teege’s fake laugh. Interesting that Jordan threw the mission, even though he put himself in the line of fire. The guy has no fear. We’ll see if that works out for him. Josh continues to Josh. 55 minutes ago, AntFTW said: I think it was Jonna that said the paramedics dropped CT when they were carrying him to the ambulance. DAMN. Way to treat a legend, guys! 55 minutes ago, AntFTW said: Emily and Brad... make quite an interesting and quirky pair. She can do better. The guy hasn’t been all there in ages. 1 Link to comment

bunnyface September 5 Share September 5 Laurel has a black soul. I don't care how much she helps animals, people are animals too and she's horrible to people. It was interesting to hear Ryan say how she picked him up and then dropped him just as quick. So it's not just Cara Maria she's a bitch to. I hated to see her win but I knew she wasn't going anywhere because we hadn't seen the scene where she's yelling at CM yet. I want to see her lose SO BAD. I want a Ninja level of loss for her. I want to be strutting around all cocky and then be told "Nope!" It looked to me like Horacio hesitated right at the end. He got over the line and seemed to think that was it and hesitated before he put in his jack in. I wonder if that's what got him. I think you could see his heart wasn't in it after Nurys left. He's too nice a kid to produce the shit show you need for this show. 9 1 Link to comment
Lamima September 6 Share September 6 I am on the Laurel is a raging be-yotch bandwagon. Cara Maria can be annoying but gosh dang, am I rooting for her to pull a big one over on that 'see you next time' Laurel. Sorry to see Horacio go because I hate most of his era 4 peeps. He, Nurys and Kyland were who I was rooting for. But he needs to get himself to the jewelry store, post haste. And put a ring on it. Wish we could get rid of Josh. And Laurel. Pronto! 4 Link to comment
Jobiska September 6 Share September 6 I wonder why the winners didn't just put, say, Laurel and Johnny back in for next time--in hopes this time they'd be vulnerable. I didn't hear a rule about no back-to-backs or whatever. I am assuming all the losers are doing the ratings thing but I really would like to see at least a few reaction shots from them to that (especially from Aneesa--Horacio would probably be sweetly boring there!). I hope Horacio and Nurys are getting some time together in the Loser's Lodge or wherever! Cara is right about Johnny and Laurel in charge together being a horrific beast. 3 Link to comment
aghst September 7 Share September 7 Those trivia questions were about the Challenge and unless you’re a superfan, how are you going to remember each incident over 40 seasons? Prefer the general knowledge trivia but they were bad at those too because we live in a low information era — heh didn’t even mean to do that. Yeah Jordan missing the last question does look shady. He didn’t believe Laurel would ever send him to the elimination because they had dated? Isn’t poli-dicking only suppose to be for the season, not future seasons? Looks like almost everyone will have to volunteer to be targets. There’s only been 3 or 4 elimination rounds and people are already plotting for the Finals, talking about making big moves early? 1 Link to comment
Jobiska September 8 Share September 8 I enjoyed Jonna asking if TJ practiced that laugh in the mirror, bc at this point, I bet he does! Also liked seeing the picture of Jonna from Endurance, since I watched that with my kid when they were young. Link to comment
LaurelleJ September 8 Share September 8 It would make complete sense for Jordan to make that deal with the Era II and throw the sudden death so that they could win. He stays safe with no blood on his hands. Smart move. Yes maybe his team didn't know about it, but they were already safe so it's cool. I also forgot that Laurel and Jordan dated. When I think of Jordan I only think of Tori. I used to root for Laurel, but this episode and the preview for next week really made me see what other people see in her. I hate that she said that thing about Darrell getting massages while married like he was doing something wrong. The woman needs help. Horacio is just too pure for this show. I am very sad to see him go, I really like him. I think they want to keep as many people from Era I that they liked for as long as possible. 4 Link to comment

Thanks, I didn't quite catch what she was saying to Darrell (Darrell of all people!) and, well, it being Laurel, I didn't want to rewind once or more times in an attempt to figure it out. That is awful. 1 Link to comment
WInterfalls September 12 Share September 12 So after all the controversy from this episode, production gave Derrick and Horacio all the raw footage about the elimination and it proves Derrick did win. Seems like communication was the biggest problem. Horacio and Derrick talked it out on Derrick's podcast the video is free to watch. https://www.patreon.com/posts/video-horacio-on-111871785 1 Link to comment

Why is Horacio leaving? Just curious, not unhappy. Horacio, Nurys and the rest of the social media era are a big part of why The Challenge has sucked the last few years. Their rather plain personalities have enabled pests like Jay and Michele to dominate the show (by contrast, Michele is a big nothing in the presence of more colorful personalities this season). I think the relatively quick eliminations of Horacio and Nurys demonstrate that they're not made of the same stuff as older players. Hope Kyland goes next. I was glad Derrick won. That guy is a pitbull and he really loves the show. I suspect Laurel is bipolar. And her Ms. Hyde side is cruel. Josh is so ... Josh. Ever notice how he manages to screw over everyone he "loves?" I'm sure he "loved" Ashley too before he got her removed (she messed up, but from what I heard he pressed production for enforcement of the rules). His fooling around with Nia was curious. Reportedly, Ashley was bounced for outing Josh. I don't like Bananas' mustache. I'm not looking forward to Laurel's abuse of Cara. 1 Link to comment
